This place is absolutely amazing! The hotel is extremely relaxing and peaceful, the food is delicious, with the breakfast being exceptional, and the spa area (sauna, steam, jacuzzi) is an absolute delight after a round of golf. As for the golf course, set amongst a tea plantation, it is stunning! For both hotel and golf course team, nothing was too much trouble, and a special mention goes to Lucy, front of house manager, who was attentive from first to last, and ensured my stay was very memorable. I will return!

We absolutely love this hotel!! We have been here several times since 2011. It is located a little away from West Lake, with didi that it is so easy to get around! And it is absolutely vital that you can get a break from all the crowds and noise of the big city when you get back to your hotel. Rose Garden is surrounded by green trees and mountains, it’s quite and calm and the outside swimming pool is such an oasis. If it’s raining and thundering, too hot or too cold the indoor pool is also really good, and there are nice sofas around the pool for enjoying yourself. The staff is incredible!!! They are quietly there and super aware of you and your needs. They, especially Stone the manager, helped my husband so much with him planing a surprise visit on our wedding anniversary, they made sure he got upgraded to a better room so he was next to us, helped him send flowers, made a cake for us from them and kept the whole thing a secret from me🌹🩷 They helped me and my daughters order tea to be delivered to the hotel, send a package to a friend in China, remember what we liked to eat and drink in the morning and always kind and aware. I know they work hard and still they always smile at us and are ready to help!! Most of them have worked there for many many years, so they know what they’re doing 👌 I am so grateful, because they are a big part of our visits being so memorable! The hotel is so clean, the rooms a beautiful and spacious and there is a coffee machine in the room 🙏🏻 the restaurant in the hotel is really good Chinese food the Cafe cand make some good western food choices, drinks and ice cream, the breakfast buffet offers a huge selection of Chinese food and western food and fruit, children’s buffet with candyfloss and fun for kids. The whole hotel is quite, tranquil, beautiful, clean and cozy!!! We always get a little sad when we leave and even though we want to travel to se other parts of the world, we always have Rose Garden and Hangzhou in our hearts and plans to come back. And we will🌹🤝🩷

We stayed only for a night, but the front office upgraded our room. It was very nice, however, due to the undergoing construction right down to the room, we requested to move back to the room we initially booked. The hotel also arranged a pickup service from Hangzhoudong railway station to the hotel. Regardless of the language barrier, the FO staff were very helpful. One thing missing in our suite was the luggage rack! 😊

En general, fue una estancia aceptable; no esperen estándares japoneses. Al parecer, tuvieron un periodo de preapertura y abrieron el 15 de abril. Se nota que aún no van del todo bien: trip.com indica que el spa debe reservarse con un día de antelación, pero en WeChat dijeron que no era necesario reservar y que podíamos usarlo cuando quisiéramos. El segundo día, quisimos usar el spa por segunda vez, pero un miembro del personal nos dijo que no podíamos volver a usarlo, lo cual nos confundió. Más tarde, otro miembro del personal nos dijo que sí. El spa en sí tenía vistas espectaculares, pero la piscina exterior, curiosamente, tenía manzanas medio mordidas y podridas flotando. Tras hablar con el personal del spa, dijeron que era por motivos estéticos y que los huéspedes debían de comérselas sin saberlo. Preocupantes estándares de higiene. 😨 Por lo demás, la higiene general parece estar bien. Todas las habitaciones tienen su propio patio privado, así que hay dos puertas: la principal de madera y la de cristal que da a nuestra habitación. La puerta principal de madera se rompió dos veces; no pudimos cerrarla (más bien, no solucionaron el problema por completo la primera vez), lo que nos hizo perder el tiempo, ya que tuvimos que quedarnos sentados viendo cómo el personal de mantenimiento arreglaba la puerta. El desayuno estaba bien, pero la mitad de los platos estaban demasiado salados para mi gusto. Una extraña mezcla de cocina occidental, japonesa y china. Era más barato comprarlos allí mismo (168 yuanes a día de hoy). El servicio no estuvo a la altura de un hotel de este precio. La personal que nos recibió parecía estar leyendo un guion; la mitad del tiempo no pudimos oírla, incluso después de pedirle que hablara más claro dos veces. Parecía que estaban allí para supervisarnos más que para cuidarnos. En lugar de ”¿En qué puedo ayudarle?”, respondieron ”¿Qué le pasa?” en dos ocasiones distintas. ¡No me parece aceptable! Algunos empleados tampoco reciben bien a los huéspedes.

Overall, this was a good stay with some truly special aspects, but also a few areas that could be improved. The hotel is quite remote, which makes it feel very private and peaceful, surrounded by nature such as the lake, forest, and mountains. Even though we visited other viewpoints around Qiandao Lake, this location felt more special because of its quiet and secluded setting. The hotel itself feels like a destination, with scenic viewpoints, a garden with a lake, a cave, and even trekking trails to explore. The garden area includes a swan lake, which is a nice idea. However, the swans are kept in a very small netted space. It does not look great visually and feels restrictive for the animals, which took away from the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed that was not too soft or too hard. Sound insulation was excellent, which made for great sleep. I also requested a firmer pillow, and it was provided quickly. The lake view room upgrade was a highlight. The view was stunning and made it hard to leave the room. If you stay here, I would strongly recommend booking a lake view room. The layout was nice, with both a balcony and a window view. The thick frame dividing the view slightly affected the overall feel, but it was not a major issue. The bathtub was also a nice addition. Cleaning was good overall. The AC did not work very well during the hot midday hours, although it was fine at other times of the day. Facilities such as the gym, yoga room, pool, and game room were nice additions. However, they felt quite standard for a five-star hotel, and I have experienced better quality in similar properties. One great feature was the free Tesla charging, but this was not communicated at all. We only discovered it by chance, which is a missed opportunity as it is a strong benefit. Breakfast was acceptable but not at the expected level. The coffee and bakery were the weakest parts. Ordering is done via QR code instead of in person, which felt a bit impersonal for a luxury hotel atmosphere. Service during breakfast also felt a bit off, as staff seemed focused on their tasks and were not very proactive in guiding or prioritizing guests, which made the experience feel less warm and not the kindest. Service was generally kind and friendly, but inconsistent at times. Some staff could benefit from additional training, as not everyone followed typical five-star service standards such as greeting guests or offering priority. Another disappointment was the welcome fruit, which was included in our package but not provided on arrival. After we asked, a staff member came carrying items for multiple rooms in a bag and handed us just one apple and one peach. This felt unprofessional although something very small. Another point worth noting is that the hotel was originally booked as an InterContinental, but about 1-2 weeks before arrival it was no longer part of the brand (somehow on Trip.com it still says intercontinental). Not sure if this impacted the experience, but overall it did feel slightly below what you might expect from that level, even though the stay itself was still enjoyable. The hotel also offers free Tesla charging, which is a great feature. However, this was not communicated at all during or before our stay, and we only discovered it by chance. This feels like a missed opportunity, as it is a strong benefit that could add significant value for guests I did not try lunch or dinner, so I cannot comment on those. Overall, this is a very peaceful and unique stay with amazing natural surroundings and a beautiful lake view. However, some service and operational details need improvement to truly match a luxury standard.

Very nice and comfy hotel. Good location with around 10 mins walks from the HangZhou east station. Breakfast was nice and there was free self-service washing machine and dryer.

Un santuario poético en Banyan Tree Hangzhou Nuestra estancia en Banyan Tree Hangzhou fue como entrar en una pintura viviente, donde la niebla danza sobre aguas tranquilas y el tiempo transcurre al ritmo del canto de los pájaros. Bobby Jiang se esmeró al compartir con mi padre el hermoso significado de cada 对联 que adornaba el 四合院, convirtiendo nuestro paseo por el resort en un viaje cultural lleno de calidez y perspicacia. Cada mañana, mi madre hablaba con cariño de 37, cuya delicadeza, generosidad y espíritu radiante la hacían sentir querida desde el momento en que desayunaba. Un sincero agradecimiento también al amable caballero que nos llevó en buggy a 外婆家 en nuestro primer día; su paciencia y consideración hacia mis padres ancianos eran un testimonio de su auténtica hospitalidad. La atención del equipo se extendió incluso a nuestra habitación, cerca del vestíbulo, sin escaleras, ideal para personas mayores. Si viaja con padres mayores o simplemente busca tranquilidad, este es el paraíso. Siéntese en su balcón, observe a los patos deslizarse y los barcos pasar, y comprenderá por qué Hangzhou es poesía en movimiento.

Este es el hotel más terapéutico, relajante y con mejor servicio en el que me he alojado. Toda la música de la habitación, incluido el aroma de los aceites esenciales, era increíblemente relajante. Está cerca del centro de la ciudad, pero es tranquilo y apacible. Las habitaciones son increíblemente espaciosas y cada detalle está diseñado con mucho gusto. We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is incredibly new with amazing facilities. Although it is an hour drive to the main attractions of the Qiandao Lake, it is an incredibly scenic drive - and the hotel is amazing for the price. Elaine provided us excellent service at the counter and will take care of all your needs! We look forward to staying here again in the near future!

Conrad es el mejor hotel de 3 hoteles que hemos estado durante este viaje. La variedad de desayuno es bastante - obtuvo suma dim, porridge, nodle, ovo estación, etc... Se nos dijo que la cola será larga después de las 9:00, así que nos despertamos antes para tener desayuno y de hecho si viene después de las 9:00, habrá una larga cola. El hotel está situado a 20-30 minutos de lago Oeste. Si solo viene a Hangzhou para un viaje de día como turista, entonces esta puede no ser una buena opción! De lo contrario, todo lo demás es bueno!
