El hotel es muy relajante y tranquilo, la comida es deliciosa, el desayuno es excepcional y el spa (suna, vapor, jacuzzi) es un placer absoluto después de una ronda de golf. En cuanto al campo de golf, ¡está en medio de una plantación de té, es increíble! El hotel y el golf no se han visto muy problemáticos, y una mención especial se dirige a Lucy, el director de casa, que fue muy atento desde el principio hasta el final, y se ha asegurado que mi estancia era muy memorable.

We had a wonderful stay at Rose Garden Resort. The room was spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful complimentary snacks and drinks prepared for us. It was also a lovely surprise to find a fresh rose in the room — such a beautiful detail. The breakfast was very enjoyable, especially the delicious cappuccino. The swimming pool was absolutely amazing, and the gym with its beautiful view of the pool made the whole experience even more relaxing. The resort truly makes you feel like you are on holiday in Thailand, even though you are in Hangzhou. The atmosphere, design, and facilities are outstanding. A special thank you to Xiaofan for her warm hospitality and attentive service. She made our stay even more pleasant and memorable. Rose Garden is truly one of the best resorts in Hangzhou. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back again!

En general, fue una estancia aceptable; no esperen estándares japoneses. Al parecer, tuvieron un periodo de preapertura y abrieron el 15 de abril. Se nota que aún no van del todo bien: trip.com indica que el spa debe reservarse con un día de antelación, pero en WeChat dijeron que no era necesario reservar y que podíamos usarlo cuando quisiéramos. El segundo día, quisimos usar el spa por segunda vez, pero un miembro del personal nos dijo que no podíamos volver a usarlo, lo cual nos confundió. Más tarde, otro miembro del personal nos dijo que sí. El spa en sí tenía vistas espectaculares, pero la piscina exterior, curiosamente, tenía manzanas medio mordidas y podridas flotando. Tras hablar con el personal del spa, dijeron que era por motivos estéticos y que los huéspedes debían de comérselas sin saberlo. Preocupantes estándares de higiene. 😨 Por lo demás, la higiene general parece estar bien. Todas las habitaciones tienen su propio patio privado, así que hay dos puertas: la principal de madera y la de cristal que da a nuestra habitación. La puerta principal de madera se rompió dos veces; no pudimos cerrarla (más bien, no solucionaron el problema por completo la primera vez), lo que nos hizo perder el tiempo, ya que tuvimos que quedarnos sentados viendo cómo el personal de mantenimiento arreglaba la puerta. El desayuno estaba bien, pero la mitad de los platos estaban demasiado salados para mi gusto. Una extraña mezcla de cocina occidental, japonesa y china. Era más barato comprarlos allí mismo (168 yuanes a día de hoy). El servicio no estuvo a la altura de un hotel de este precio. La personal que nos recibió parecía estar leyendo un guion; la mitad del tiempo no pudimos oírla, incluso después de pedirle que hablara más claro dos veces. Parecía que estaban allí para supervisarnos más que para cuidarnos. En lugar de ”¿En qué puedo ayudarle?”, respondieron ”¿Qué le pasa?” en dos ocasiones distintas. ¡No me parece aceptable! Algunos empleados tampoco reciben bien a los huéspedes.

The design of the hotel was very nice. It was near xisnghu which is beautiful and much quieter than Xihu. It was peaceful and serene to walk which allow you to enjoy the beauty and the calmness of the lake. I will like to give my thabks to a female manager. I am sorry that I didn't get her name. My wife had a fall and fractured her ankle when we were walking around the lake. When returned to the hotel to seek help, she was veey attentive to come over to assusut us. She helped to check on the injuries and asvised us to go to the nearest hospital. She asked the front desk to losn is a wheelchair and added my wechat contact and asked me to contact us via the hoyel duty phone if I needed any assistance. She was also nice to check in with us when we returned from the hospital and suggested to change our room to one nearer to the lift as our room was very far from the lift, but we turned down the kind offer as we felt it was troublesome to pack and unpack our stuff. In general, most if the staff were nice and helpful. I personally like the hitel alot due to its zen design, quietness and thr wonderful view of the lake.

Overall, this was a good stay with some truly special aspects, but also a few areas that could be improved. The hotel is quite remote, which makes it feel very private and peaceful, surrounded by nature such as the lake, forest, and mountains. Even though we visited other viewpoints around Qiandao Lake, this location felt more special because of its quiet and secluded setting. The hotel itself feels like a destination, with scenic viewpoints, a garden with a lake, a cave, and even trekking trails to explore. The garden area includes a swan lake, which is a nice idea. However, the swans are kept in a very small netted space. It does not look great visually and feels restrictive for the animals, which took away from the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed that was not too soft or too hard. Sound insulation was excellent, which made for great sleep. I also requested a firmer pillow, and it was provided quickly. The lake view room upgrade was a highlight. The view was stunning and made it hard to leave the room. If you stay here, I would strongly recommend booking a lake view room. The layout was nice, with both a balcony and a window view. The thick frame dividing the view slightly affected the overall feel, but it was not a major issue. The bathtub was also a nice addition. Cleaning was good overall. The AC did not work very well during the hot midday hours, although it was fine at other times of the day. Facilities such as the gym, yoga room, pool, and game room were nice additions. However, they felt quite standard for a five-star hotel, and I have experienced better quality in similar properties. One great feature was the free Tesla charging, but this was not communicated at all. We only discovered it by chance, which is a missed opportunity as it is a strong benefit. Breakfast was acceptable but not at the expected level. The coffee and bakery were the weakest parts. Ordering is done via QR code instead of in person, which felt a bit impersonal for a luxury hotel atmosphere. Service during breakfast also felt a bit off, as staff seemed focused on their tasks and were not very proactive in guiding or prioritizing guests, which made the experience feel less warm and not the kindest. Service was generally kind and friendly, but inconsistent at times. Some staff could benefit from additional training, as not everyone followed typical five-star service standards such as greeting guests or offering priority. Another disappointment was the welcome fruit, which was included in our package but not provided on arrival. After we asked, a staff member came carrying items for multiple rooms in a bag and handed us just one apple and one peach. This felt unprofessional although something very small. Another point worth noting is that the hotel was originally booked as an InterContinental, but about 1-2 weeks before arrival it was no longer part of the brand (somehow on Trip.com it still says intercontinental). Not sure if this impacted the experience, but overall it did feel slightly below what you might expect from that level, even though the stay itself was still enjoyable. The hotel also offers free Tesla charging, which is a great feature. However, this was not communicated at all during or before our stay, and we only discovered it by chance. This feels like a missed opportunity, as it is a strong benefit that could add significant value for guests I did not try lunch or dinner, so I cannot comment on those. Overall, this is a very peaceful and unique stay with amazing natural surroundings and a beautiful lake view. However, some service and operational details need improvement to truly match a luxury standard.

Si viaja con padres mayores o simplemente busca tranquilidad, este es el paraíso. Vine a West Lake para mi cumpleaños y elegí la habitación VIP con vista al lago del Grand Hyatt Hotel. Tal como lo solicité, me dieron una habitación en el octavo piso y me regalaron un pastel de cumpleaños que sabía muy bien. Cuando me registré, el subdirector de recepción, Wu Yanpei, me brindó un excelente servicio y me expresó grandes deseos de cumpleaños. El Hubin 28 también tiene muy buen sabor, lo que justifica la reputación de West Lake Vinegar Fish. La vista del West Lake Grand Hyatt es genial. El único problema es que el edificio es demasiado bajo. En general es muy bueno y vale la pena recomendarlo.
