We had a lovely time at the resort. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and especially peaceful with the surrounding park. All the staff were very hospitable and welcoming, but we owe Mr. Yu an especially big thanks for his extraordinary service. He aided us with luggage when we had difficulties, helped us do laundry, gave us recommendations for local activities, accommodated for our three-person party in the two-person room we ordered by adding another bed along with more toiletries, gifted many amenities like two sets of afternoon tea on top of the ones that came with our room, and much more. Anything we needed, he was always ready to help. His warm and professional demeanor in every situation truly made the stay more memorable.

¡Madre mía! Es casi un evento anual, y nos vamos otra vez (el año pasado a la zona de VOCO), ¡este año un poco más al sur! La experiencia en general fue genial, ¡así que usaré mis ”tres criterios” para evaluarla! Primero, el ”ambiente”: realmente se sentía como un hotel resort, con comodidades para familias, un ambiente relajante y las características operativas de un hotel completo (incluyendo pequeños paquetes turísticos), ¡incluso el ”fragancia” en el vestíbulo, jaja! Segundo, la ”atención”, especialmente la ”respuesta de servicio” atenta y meticulosa del servicio al cliente ”Zhou Zhou” (Qi Qi), ¡me sentí como en casa! Tercero, la ”justicia”: hay un descuento para estancias consecutivas, ¡lo cual es realmente ”genial”, jeje! En resumen: instalaciones bien, limpieza bien, ambiente bien, servicio bien… ¡Volveré!

En general, fue una estancia aceptable; no esperen estándares japoneses. Al parecer, tuvieron un periodo de preapertura y abrieron el 15 de abril. Se nota que aún no van del todo bien: trip.com indica que el spa debe reservarse con un día de antelación, pero en WeChat dijeron que no era necesario reservar y que podíamos usarlo cuando quisiéramos. El segundo día, quisimos usar el spa por segunda vez, pero un miembro del personal nos dijo que no podíamos volver a usarlo, lo cual nos confundió. Más tarde, otro miembro del personal nos dijo que sí. El spa en sí tenía vistas espectaculares, pero la piscina exterior, curiosamente, tenía manzanas medio mordidas y podridas flotando. Tras hablar con el personal del spa, dijeron que era por motivos estéticos y que los huéspedes debían de comérselas sin saberlo. Preocupantes estándares de higiene. 😨 Por lo demás, la higiene general parece estar bien. Todas las habitaciones tienen su propio patio privado, así que hay dos puertas: la principal de madera y la de cristal que da a nuestra habitación. La puerta principal de madera se rompió dos veces; no pudimos cerrarla (más bien, no solucionaron el problema por completo la primera vez), lo que nos hizo perder el tiempo, ya que tuvimos que quedarnos sentados viendo cómo el personal de mantenimiento arreglaba la puerta. El desayuno estaba bien, pero la mitad de los platos estaban demasiado salados para mi gusto. Una extraña mezcla de cocina occidental, japonesa y china. Era más barato comprarlos allí mismo (168 yuanes a día de hoy). El servicio no estuvo a la altura de un hotel de este precio. La personal que nos recibió parecía estar leyendo un guion; la mitad del tiempo no pudimos oírla, incluso después de pedirle que hablara más claro dos veces. Parecía que estaban allí para supervisarnos más que para cuidarnos. En lugar de ”¿En qué puedo ayudarle?”, respondieron ”¿Qué le pasa?” en dos ocasiones distintas. ¡No me parece aceptable! Algunos empleados tampoco reciben bien a los huéspedes.

Overall, this was a good stay with some truly special aspects, but also a few areas that could be improved. The hotel is quite remote, which makes it feel very private and peaceful, surrounded by nature such as the lake, forest, and mountains. Even though we visited other viewpoints around Qiandao Lake, this location felt more special because of its quiet and secluded setting. The hotel itself feels like a destination, with scenic viewpoints, a garden with a lake, a cave, and even trekking trails to explore. The garden area includes a swan lake, which is a nice idea. However, the swans are kept in a very small netted space. It does not look great visually and feels restrictive for the animals, which took away from the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed that was not too soft or too hard. Sound insulation was excellent, which made for great sleep. I also requested a firmer pillow, and it was provided quickly. The lake view room upgrade was a highlight. The view was stunning and made it hard to leave the room. If you stay here, I would strongly recommend booking a lake view room. The layout was nice, with both a balcony and a window view. The thick frame dividing the view slightly affected the overall feel, but it was not a major issue. The bathtub was also a nice addition. Cleaning was good overall. The AC did not work very well during the hot midday hours, although it was fine at other times of the day. Facilities such as the gym, yoga room, pool, and game room were nice additions. However, they felt quite standard for a five-star hotel, and I have experienced better quality in similar properties. One great feature was the free Tesla charging, but this was not communicated at all. We only discovered it by chance, which is a missed opportunity as it is a strong benefit. Breakfast was acceptable but not at the expected level. The coffee and bakery were the weakest parts. Ordering is done via QR code instead of in person, which felt a bit impersonal for a luxury hotel atmosphere. Service during breakfast also felt a bit off, as staff seemed focused on their tasks and were not very proactive in guiding or prioritizing guests, which made the experience feel less warm and not the kindest. Service was generally kind and friendly, but inconsistent at times. Some staff could benefit from additional training, as not everyone followed typical five-star service standards such as greeting guests or offering priority. Another disappointment was the welcome fruit, which was included in our package but not provided on arrival. After we asked, a staff member came carrying items for multiple rooms in a bag and handed us just one apple and one peach. This felt unprofessional although something very small. Another point worth noting is that the hotel was originally booked as an InterContinental, but about 1-2 weeks before arrival it was no longer part of the brand (somehow on Trip.com it still says intercontinental). Not sure if this impacted the experience, but overall it did feel slightly below what you might expect from that level, even though the stay itself was still enjoyable. The hotel also offers free Tesla charging, which is a great feature. However, this was not communicated at all during or before our stay, and we only discovered it by chance. This feels like a missed opportunity, as it is a strong benefit that could add significant value for guests I did not try lunch or dinner, so I cannot comment on those. Overall, this is a very peaceful and unique stay with amazing natural surroundings and a beautiful lake view. However, some service and operational details need improvement to truly match a luxury standard.

Este es el hotel más terapéutico, relajante y con mejor servicio en el que me he alojado. Toda la música de la habitación, incluido el aroma de los aceites esenciales, era increíblemente relajante. Está cerca del centro de la ciudad, pero es tranquilo y apacible. Las habitaciones son increíblemente espaciosas y cada detalle está diseñado con mucho gusto. Stunning architecture in a beautiful location. Wanted to try this Dusit as had stayed at the Dusit Thani in Bangkok and thought it was out of this world. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the one in Hangzhou. The service was not as attentive and warm and the food was definitely not in the same league, especially the breakfast - compared to Bangkok it was hugely disappointing. Drinks and cocktails selection was poor; only a gin and tonic available or two other fruit juice-based cocktails that were not very good. Had the feeling that the staff tried their best but much could be learnt from studying the exceedingly high customer service experience standards that the Bangkok Dusit holds itself to. The venue is probably the most aesthetically pleasing in the area if you want a lovely stay near the Tianmu hiking trails. However, don’t expect much in the way of a culinary experience.

El hotel es enorme, ocupa una gran zona de parque de atracciones, y las habitaciones también son muy espaciosas. Gracias a la recepcionista, Xiao Guo, por mejorar mi habitación; quedé muy satisfecha con mi estancia. El desayuno también estuvo bastante bien. We chose this hotel primarily for its promise of a secluded, nature-connected experience and its on-site hot springs—a perfect antidote to busy city life. The room was warm, cozy, and wonderfully quiet. The bed was big and incredibly comfortable, ensuring great sleep. The bathroom was spacious and well-appointed. The best feature was the house's layout—separated from others, it felt private, secluded, and truly integrated with the natural surroundings. It was the peaceful haven we needed. The hotel territory is vast and beautifully maintained, perfect for calming walks. The dining experience was excellent: the food was tasty, presented in a clean environment, and offered a satisfying variety. Unfortunately, the main attraction became a source of stress. The culture of quiet, therapeutic relaxation expected at a hot spring was completely absent. The most visitors were behaving like they are in a public swimming pool, with yelling and kids jumping, splashing, and running around. This chaotic atmosphere made it impossible to relax or enjoy the springs' intended benefits. It felt like a disaster for anyone seeking the tranquil, restorative experience hot springs are known for. Despite the hot springs issue, our overall stay was very nice, thanks to the superb room, excellent food, and beautiful grounds. The core product—the accommodation—is outstanding. I will definitely return, but I will plan my visit for a much less busy period (perhaps weekdays or off-holidays). If you are seeking solitude and quiet, I highly recommend the rooms but advise cautious timing for the hot springs. This place has all the ingredients for a perfect retreat; you just need to find the right moment to enjoy them fully.

Primero, lo bueno: Nos alojamos aquí con nuestros familiares mayores y niños durante el Primero de Mayo, y el precio fue bastante razonable. Vimos un tobogán arcoíris, un castillo hinchable y un río lento, pero parecía estar cerrado, aunque tenía muy buena pinta. El desayuno fue estupendo, con muchas mesas, una gran variedad de opciones y la comida estaba deliciosa. Los asientos junto a la ventana eran muy cómodos, pero las ventanas estaban demasiado sucias para sacar buenas fotos. También hay dos piscinas infinitas al aire libre, ideales para fotos, ¡pero sería aún mejor si el agua se mantuviera a una temperatura constante! En general, nos gustó este complejo. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y nuestros familiares comentaron que disfrutaron de su estancia. Ahora, ¡hablemos de lo malo! La limpieza no era la ideal. En las esquinas había polvo e insectos muertos. ¡Que las habitaciones sean grandes no significa que no se puedan limpiar a fondo! En segundo lugar, ¡la decoración interior de la habitación es totalmente inapropiada! ¡Incluso podría arañarte la piel! La esquina de la pared en la Figura 1 es dura y afilada. i have been to the hot springs three times before but I had never stayed at the hotel. This was my first time. I imagine the receptionist felt a little nervous when faced with two foreigners and maybe she felt shy. However, I found her lack of greeting, not a 你好 or 下午好， a little cold. When she did communicate with us, it was in super fast Mandarin to which I requested 请慢慢说 to no avail. She repeated just as fast twice more. I felt frustrated and then resorted to using a translation app. She called over an English-speaking Indonesian staff member. I don’t have the expectation that people will speak English to me, but I do appreciate slowing down in Mandarin and using simpler language. Hand gestures help a lot also. I wish she had told us the WiFi password, and where to access the hot springs. These are two key pieces of information a receptionist should provide when you check into a hot springs hotel. Our room had plastic flip flops to be worn to the hot springs. My pair had two left feet. When I showed the staff member on the second floor, she was helpful and got me a new pair. The hot springs were lovely, as usual. The buffet breakfast was better than the buffet dinner. The layout of the hotel leaves you walking from building to building. At first it’s confusing, but then it becomes okay.
