Great service from staff. Stayed at Verde for 4 days and the entire experience was genuinely like nothing I have experienced before in my life. Watching the sunset from a balcony with a view of the docked ships and boats was a particular highlight as was swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. As for waiting staff, Leticia and Hidaya in particular were very helpful.

Excellent hotel in great location We used TA to choose hotel for our stay in Zanzibar as we were unsure in what location on the island to base ourselves As it worked out we were very pleased that we chose the Medinat Al Bahrain as our base. Excellent hotel, very quiet - in fact sometimes we felt as if we had the place to ourselves. Good food, great buffet breakfast and two restaurants to choose from on site. Conveniently located not far from airport especially after long connecting flight via Dubai ($10 cab fare) and same distance into Stonetown ($10 cab fare) Small public beach attached to hotel and a nice restaurant (Wooden Table) 100yds along beach After experiencing Stonetown we were glad that we stayed slightly out as the town is very busy and some hotels we first looked at could be hard to find down inaccessible (by vehicle) alleys. We did visit on a couple of occasions to do the walking tour and restaurants (Cape Town Fish Market - see separate review) - again location of hotel made visiting easy and there were a number of restaurants/bars that we could also have visited given the time. The hotel was also a good base for visiting other parts of the island which we did through Alsa Tours Zanzibar (reviewed separately) Issa (the concierge) arranged for us to meet Abdul (the owner) from Alsa Tours at the hotel who was our guide/driver for the tours that we did - prices were good and very competitive with other tour operators and more personal as tours in most cases were private We did (all reviewed separately): The North - Turtle Sanctuary/Kendra beach West - Spice Farm/Prison Island/Walking tour of Stonetown East - Butterfly Sanctuary/Jozani Forest/The Rock Restaurant South East - Safari Blue - boat trip/snorkelling/beach bbq Would say that the hotel was a great choice hotel was maticulously clean and the staff always friendly helpful and accommodating which made for a perfect stay Would highly recommend to any travellers to Zanzibar

La habitación era muy confortable, el hotel estaba limpio, la cama estaba muy cómoda, la conexión Wi-Fi estaba bien, el desayuno buffet era bueno, iam un vegetariano así que tenían una buena variedad de platos vegetarianos del menú del restaurante, General, me disfruté de mi estancia en el hotel.

El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, y me quedé en la habitación 101 (Sala Real con vistas al mar) que es una de las mejores y más grandes habitaciones de este hotel. Desafortunadamente, it’s appeared that there is no quality control in the rooms especially this room mainly bathroom, in the shower area there is no place to keep a soap (no soap holder), La casa de baño es muy agradable y se puede encontrar en el hotel, pero no es fácil. (ver las fotos) mi esposa y yo se sientan muy irritantes usandolas. En la noche, el aire acondicionado se refrescaba otro pesadilla (no tuvimos un buen sueño) una pequeña AC que cubría toda la zona de esta gran habitación, además de que no puede reducir la temperatura de AC por debajo del 20% C. Pasamos una estupenda estancia en el DOZ del 29 de agosto al 10 de septiembre 2019.nous hemos sido muy bien recibidos. Gracias a Mwinyi que nos organizó excursiones con un conductor privado para hacer nuestra estancia agradable. Recomendamos que los diferentes restaurantes se coman muy bien. En cuanto al desayuno, aclaramos que los jugos de fruta son frescos y con frutas reales no son jugos de fruta en la cocina, como algunos dicen. Es un excelente hotel, el personal siempre está atento a la playa, al desayuno, a la cena y siempre con el sonrisa. Los cocktails son muy buenos. Zanzibar es un hermoso país donde hay muy hermosas playas. Volveremos sin esperar demasiado tiempo antes de que un turismo de masas pueda degradar la imagen de este hermoso país. Sólo un pequeño bmol el olor en los diferentes baños del hotel probablemente un problema en las canalizaciones. Una vez más, muchas gracias a Mwinyi y al personal del DOZ. Continue así.
