El hotel tiene una buena vista de la Montaña del Dragón de Jade y del casco antiguo. Tuvimos la suerte de ver el sol brillar sobre la cima de la montaña (日照金山). Todo estaba nuevo y limpio. El personal fue amable y atento. Lo único que no nos gustó fue que el desayuno y la cena se sirvieron fríos. Prepararon la comida demasiado pronto. La siguiente vez decidimos no reservar con antelación y pedir al llegar. La comida estaba más caliente y mucho mejor.

Esta estancia fue muy satisfactoria y cambió significativamente mi percepción de las casas de huéspedes. En primer lugar, la ubicación es excelente, justo al lado de los hoteles InterContinental e Indigo, lo que facilita mucho tomar un taxi. El precio de la habitación era un poco bajo, pero aceptable. Al fin y al cabo, estuvimos viajando constantemente. La ropa de cama era cómoda y la habitación incluso contaba con un sistema de oxigenación, lo que me permitió dormir muy bien todas las noches durante tres noches consecutivas. El desayuno del hotel fue una grata sorpresa, con ingredientes de alta gama como abulón y nido de pájaro, todo preparado con esmero. El único inconveniente podría ser el aislamiento acústico, pero dada la estructura de madera de la habitación, no podíamos esperar mucho más. En general, dormimos bastante bien. Los artículos de tocador eran de buena calidad, de la línea Verbena de L'Occitane, y los baños públicos de la planta baja tenían jabón y loción de manos de Aesop.

We stayed in Stone Lodge for 3 nights in the middle of December. Let us talk about the good things first. 1. Snow Mountain View rooms can see 日照金山from bed. 2. Location is good for going to snow mountain. It takes around 20min to reach visitor centre of snow mountain. 3. Service is very good. U can ask for anything and they will provide for example bubble wrap to pack our fragile shopping. There’s also free laundry service. 4. Good for those who like the activities included in the room package. We did the Naxi home visit, horse riding and art and craft diy and enjoyed them very much. We like the afternoon tea provided too. And we can have coffee and fruits as much as we want. Now some points to note. 1. Room is a bit small for 3 of us. The toilet is like a shower cubicle that opens into the room. We only discovered the ventilation switch im the middle of the stay and was wondering why the cubicle is so stuffy, not to mention the smell. With the ventilation on, the problems are solved. The shower cubicle is opposite with the sink in between them. All open into the room with no partition around the bathroom area. The walls of the toilet and shower cubicles are frosted glass and is acceptable for me and my daughters, all ladies. 2. The village is very small. Not much to see. We went to a cafe popular on internet that can take photo on the roof with the snow mountain in the background. The drinks are ok but the pasta is not nice. Maybe that’s why this restaurant is not in the recommended list of the hotel. We did not explore the village much but from what I see, it’s just 1 short street. 3. Ask for a 3rd floor room. It has a sky roof over the bed and we can see stars when we turn off all the lights in the room. Overall, we did not regret our decision to stay here in the Stone Lodge. If the activities were not included in the package, we would not have experienced them at all.

Quedé muy satisfecho con mi estancia en el Hotel Indigo de Lijiang. La ubicación es excelente, justo en la Puerta Sur de Lijiang, junto al Hotel InterContinental. El desayuno en el Indigo es tipo semibufé con opciones a la carta; las porciones son generosas y la variedad abundante. Las habitaciones del hotel estaban muy limpias y bien distribuidas, incluso más grandes que las del Hotel InterContinental donde nos alojamos después. El personal de conserjería fue muy amable y nos ofreció un servicio de transporte para recogernos y llevarnos de vuelta. Incluso nos prepararon fruta de bienvenida a nuestra llegada. El personal nos acompañó a nuestra habitación y nos explicó cuidadosamente cómo usar todas las instalaciones antes de irnos, demostrando una gran atención al detalle. Al hacer el check-out, le pedimos al personal de recepción indicaciones para llegar a la Montaña Nevada del Dragón de Jade, y el joven de recepción fue increíblemente servicial y pacientemente nos explicó todo, ¡un gran halago! Si hay algo que mejorar, es que la presión del agua en los grifos del hotel no era muy fuerte, no tan cómoda como en el Hotel InterContinental. Por lo demás, todo fue excelente, y sin duda volvería a elegir el Indigo la próxima vez que esté en Lijiang.

This was the best hotel of my whole trip. I don’t speak Chinese, but communicating on WeChat worked perfectly, so everything was very easy. The staff were honestly amazing — super kind, patient, and always ready to help. You can really feel how much they care. They provided free pick-up from the station, which helped us a lot since we had big luggage. The roads in Lijiang Old Town are quite small, so this made everything much more convenient. The location is also great, easy to walk everywhere in the old town. On my last day I had to leave very early, and they even prepared a takeaway breakfast for me. At night, they also gave us warm milk, which was such a nice and thoughtful touch. I just want to say thank you to all the staff. They made my stay really special. This is actually my first time writing a hotel review, and I truly mean it. Highly recommend staying here.

The room was extremely clean and spacious with 2 queen sized beds that can easily sleep 4 adults. Nice hot tub in the balcony with both cold and hot water taps, can adjust to your preferred temperature. We were entertained by the voice control of common appliances in the room. The hotel breakfast and welcome tea break were delicious, and we could enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains while having our meal. All the staff we met were very pleasant and enthusiastic in welcoming us and making our stay an enjoyable one. A special mention to hotel staff Ava who helped us collect our laundry from the dryer and sent it to our room while we spent our day outside the hotel. Free laundry service at the hotel too, just have to diy. Overall great experience during our stay here, will strongly consider staying here again for a next visit to Lijiang!

Hotel located at Yuhu village, going in and out was a hassle as we have to inform the hotel of the car plate number in advance. And it's approx. an hr ride from the Lijiang railway station. There are quite afew popular cafes and restaurants within walking distance in the village. It would be a good location if u would like to explore around the village. However, wouldn't recommend one to explore the village at night as it's v dark at night with minimal street lights. Beddings were clean and comfortable. There's heater in the room so it's not cold at all and shower heater is consistent. The mountain view was magnificent. Hotel provides western and chinese cuisine to choose for breakfast and we can arrange activities; hiking, tour around the village etc. Room was equipped with a bluetooth speaker, Dyson hairdryer, air purifier and complimentary snacks!! Lastly, I would like to commend receptionist, Ann for her great service and patience to guide me through booking tickets online. Overalls, a comfortable stay i would definitely stay here again!!

II recently stayed at the Guanxin Art Hotel in Shuhe Old Town, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. Tucked away in a serene corner of this charming ancient town, the hotel’s artistic design immediately captivated me—think intricate local motifs blended with modern whimsy in every corner, from the lobby’s handcrafted murals to the thoughtfully curated room accents. It’s the kind of place that feels like stepping into a living gallery. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warming welcome tea set that set a perfectly relaxed tone after our journey. And the turndown service? A cozy surprise of warmed white fungus dessert that was both indulgent and surprisingly soothing—such a unique touch that made evenings feel special. Breakfast was a highlight, served with fresh, flavorful local ingredients and Western options that catered to every craving. Everything was excellent, from the fluffy pancakes to the vibrant fruit platters, all enjoyed in a sunlit courtyard that amplified the magic. The rooms themselves were a sanctuary: lovely, plush bedding that promised (and delivered) the deepest sleep, wrapped in an ambiance that’s equal parts elegant and inviting. What truly elevated the stay was the staff—they’re a warm, efficient bunch who went above and beyond. One team member even insisted on carrying my ridiculously heavy bags up the stairs without a second thought, all with a genuine smile. And let’s talk about the hotel’s superstar resident: a massive, fluffy husky dog who’s as photogenic as he is well-behaved. He lounged gracefully by the entrance, offering tail-wags on demand but never intrusive—pure joy! One minor note: the hotel is nestled a bit deeper into the old town, so we walked about 15-20 minutes from the pickup point. But honestly, it was a lovely stroll through lantern-lit alleys, past street vendors and hidden courtyards—part of the adventure that made arriving feel earned. If you’re seeking a boutique escape that’s artistic, attentive, and utterly memorable, Guanxin Art Hotel is it. We had never stayed in a homestay before, but Yintang Museum • Snow Mountain Cliff Forest Oxygen Art Manor was so much more than just a hotel. It became one of the most memorable parts of our trip to Yunnan. From the moment we arrived, the owners and staff treated us like family. As first-time visitors to China who don’t speak Chinese, we were initially nervous, but the team made everything feel effortless and welcoming. They either spoke English with us or used a translation app, and nothing was ever too much trouble. They even set up a WeChat group with us so we could ask for recommendations, organise local excursions, or join activities at the hotel such as the sound bath and tea ceremony. After coming from the fast pace of Shanghai, this place felt incredibly peaceful and grounding. The location was perfect, close enough to walk straight into Shuhe Ancient Town without relying on DiDi, yet still quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by nature. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The design and interiors are elegant, with the owner’s artwork displayed throughout the property, which gives the whole place such a unique and magical atmosphere. It truly feels immersed in nature and has such a calming energy. The breakfast had a great variety, and we also ate at the restaurant in the evenings a few times. Everything was fresh and cooked on-site by the chefs. One day I wasn’t feeling well, and the staff kindly made me a simple plain porridge, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Our room felt incredibly homely. The bed was secretly one of the most comfortable we slept in during our trip, the room stayed cool despite the warm weather, and the shower was powerful with everything kept spotless and clean. A very special thank you to Moony and all of her wonderful staff for making this such an unforgettable trip. Your kindness, warmth, and care made us feel safe and genuinely looked after during our first visit to China, and we will always remember it with gratitude. We honestly wish we had stayed longer. This place gave us not only comfort and relaxation, but also confidence and warmth during our first experience in China. We would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Lijiang.
