«This was my second stay at a Banyan Tree property, and once again, it turned out to be a truly memorable and pleasant experience. Frank, our personal concierge, was exceptionally responsive and attentive throughout our stay. He was always quick to assist with our requests and even replied to messages after regular working hours. There was a minor housekeeping incident during our stay, but Frank handled the service recovery professionally and resolved the matter promptly. The thoughtful gesture of providing gifts and a cake was greatly appreciated, and my child absolutely loved the surprise. From start to finish, we felt genuinely well taken care of. Frank’s service was highly commendable, and he is definitely a valuable asset to the Banyan Tree Group. Our dinner experience at Baiyun was also superb. The ambience was wonderful, and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the complimentary photoshoot session, which became one of the most memorable highlights of our trip. Our photographer was incredibly professional and patient, guiding us throughout the session and capturing many beautiful photos. In the end, I decided to purchase a photo package because the photos turned out so well and were truly worth it. The staff there were also warm, friendly, efficient, and highly responsive. There are, however, a few areas that could be improved: 1. The menu and operating schedule for Mingyue were somewhat confusing. We had planned to have dinner there one evening, only to realize that Chinese cuisine was not served on certain days and during certain hours, which required us to make alternative arrangements. 2. The soundproofing in the room could be improved, as we were able to hear our neighboring guests quite clearly even when they were speaking at normal volume. 3. The water temperature in the shower was inconsistent. Although we adjusted it to a comfortable level, the temperature would occasionally drop suddenly and become very cold. 4. Staff could perhaps be slightly more observant and proactive. On our first day, it was raining when we arrived at the room via buggy. There was no sheltered area where we alighted, so we had to stand briefly in the rain while moving our luggage. 5. The fruit platter in the room could be fresher. The apples and oranges did not seem as fresh compared to what we experienced at other hotels in Dali and Kunming. 6. Breakfast options could be expanded further. I was also hoping to find more fresh and exotic detox juices, especially ones prepared on the spot. (Similar to Bintan Banyan Tree) Despite these minor issues, our overall stay was still excellent. The scenery and views within the resort were absolutely stunning, and we especially enjoyed being able to feed the ducks and fishes. It created a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for the family. «I’m penning this review as I sit at the patio, gazing at this magnificent view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain that has held me in rapture from the moment I arrived. This is my first solo trip to China and I had been anxious about the language barrier as my mandarin is not great. I had also chosen this hotel for my first stay of this trip here to decompress and unwind. These past two days, I have been blown away such warm, kind and welcoming hospitality that I wish I’d more time to linger. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The hotel offers a wide array of activities, which are great for acclimating to the high altitude and to just slow down. I greatly enjoyed star gazing session at night and discovering the cafe/bar which offers coffee roasting workshops and locally produced Naxi alcohol. My stay here has been perfect and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking respite from the burdens of modern life.»

«Este hotel ajardinado de estilo Naxi, antiguo y pintoresco 🌿, tiene una gran extensión que permite pasear tranquilamente entre media hora y una hora. Los enormes ventanales del café 🪟 ofrecen vistas a la Montaña Nevada del Dragón de Jade cuando hace buen tiempo. La ubicación es impecable, justo al lado de la Puerta Sur de la antigua ciudad de Lijiang 🚪, lo que facilita mucho la entrada y salida de la misma. Las habitaciones están muy limpias y bien mantenidas ✨. El personal de limpieza es muy atento; colocaron los muñecos 🧸 de los niños ordenadamente sobre las almohadas, un pequeño detalle que realmente te anima. El itinerario de este viaje fue muy apretado. Tuvimos que salir hacia la Montaña Nevada del Dragón de Jade ⛰️ a las 5:30 de la mañana, y me quemé la mano con el vapor al salir corriendo. Después de aplicarme los primeros auxilios básicos, fui a la recepción a recoger nuestro desayuno para llevar. Mencioné de pasada la quemadura, y el recepcionista detuvo inmediatamente lo que estaba haciendo, trajo ungüento para quemaduras y bastoncillos de algodón para tratar la herida 🩹, priorizando la seguridad del huésped. Fue un trato muy humano. Al regresar al hotel después del viaje a la montaña nevada, estaba completamente agotado 😮💨. Al llegar a la entrada del personal, los guardias de seguridad nos vieron agotados y, en lugar de esperar rígidamente el autobús de enlace, nos asignaron directamente un carrito eléctrico del personal 🛺 para llevarnos de vuelta a la habitación. Fue flexible y reconfortante. De vuelta en la habitación, no queríamos molestarnos en ir a la antigua ciudad a buscar la cena 🍜. Claire y Vina del servicio de atención al cliente se pusieron en contacto proactivamente por WeChat, y al saber que estábamos agotados después de la excursión a la montaña nevada, nos recomendaron rápidamente un restaurante local de especialidades a unos 100 metros a pie del hotel, cuya comida era deliciosa. Esto nos ahorró mucho trabajo de investigación. Hablemos del desayuno 🥐: en comparación con otros InterContinental, la variedad de platos es normal y la zona de comedor es un poco pequeña. «Vi algunas fotos en Xiaohongshu donde se veía el pico nevado desde el vestíbulo del hotel, pero quizás debido a la temporada de lluvias, no pudimos verlo. El hotel tiene un estilo arquitectónico antiguo, bien mantenido, y las habitaciones son amplias y limpias. El desayuno buffet ofrecía una buena variedad. Más tarde, también probamos una olla caliente de carne de yak en el hotel, que estaba deliciosa. Lo que más me impresionó fue el servicio, especialmente Kim. El hotel también ofrece muchas actividades en las que participar. Definitivamente volvería si tuviera la oportunidad.»

«Un hotel muy bonito y con muchas posibilidades, gestionado y mantenido de una forma lamentable… Las villas son amplias, el exterior invita a disfrutar de la estancia en la terraza, el interior inicialmente estaría bien cuando lo construyeron pero han dejado que una villa de lujo haya pasado a ser algo vulgar… el mantenimiento es terrible, se nota que hace mucho tiempo que no se preocupan por mantener el hotel adecuadamente, equipamiento obsoleto, mobiliario bueno pero viejo, calefacción de suelo radiante que no funciona, aire acondicionado que calienta poco y pese a no haber pasado frio era totalmente insuficiente… Intenté pedir al servicio de habitaciones y no me atendieron, tuve que ir personalmente al bar a recoger la bebida que había pedido. La piscina cerrada, totalmente inadmisible para un hotel que tiene en su nombre los apellidos Spa y Resort… El desayuno de los más básicos que he visto en un hotel de esta categoría y por el precio que se paga es totalmente inadmisible… Repetitivo, si variedad en absolutamente nada y con un servicio que no está a la altura de la categoría que dicen tener. En resumen, no volvería y no lo recomiendo en absoluto. SI no cambian su planteamiento como cadena hotelera pienso que es cuestión de tiempo que acaben cerrando… Un lastima que tengan tan mala gestión porque el hotel y sobre todo la ciudad de Lijiang tienen muchísimo potencial.»

«We stayed in Stone Lodge for 3 nights in the middle of December. Let us talk about the good things first. 1. Snow Mountain View rooms can see 日照金山from bed. 2. Location is good for going to snow mountain. It takes around 20min to reach visitor centre of snow mountain. 3. Service is very good. U can ask for anything and they will provide for example bubble wrap to pack our fragile shopping. There’s also free laundry service. 4. Good for those who like the activities included in the room package. We did the Naxi home visit, horse riding and art and craft diy and enjoyed them very much. We like the afternoon tea provided too. And we can have coffee and fruits as much as we want. Now some points to note. 1. Room is a bit small for 3 of us. The toilet is like a shower cubicle that opens into the room. We only discovered the ventilation switch im the middle of the stay and was wondering why the cubicle is so stuffy, not to mention the smell. With the ventilation on, the problems are solved. The shower cubicle is opposite with the sink in between them. All open into the room with no partition around the bathroom area. The walls of the toilet and shower cubicles are frosted glass and is acceptable for me and my daughters, all ladies. 2. The village is very small. Not much to see. We went to a cafe popular on internet that can take photo on the roof with the snow mountain in the background. The drinks are ok but the pasta is not nice. Maybe that’s why this restaurant is not in the recommended list of the hotel. We did not explore the village much but from what I see, it’s just 1 short street. 3. Ask for a 3rd floor room. It has a sky roof over the bed and we can see stars when we turn off all the lights in the room. Overall, we did not regret our decision to stay here in the Stone Lodge. If the activities were not included in the package, we would not have experienced them at all.»

«Alojarse en este hotel durante varios días para descansar en mi viaje fue una decisión acertada. La ubicación es muy conveniente y el ambiente en general es tranquilo y confortable. Las habitaciones están bien selladas y, tras la ventilación diaria, se mantienen siempre limpias. El hotel ofrece un amplio margen de tiempo para la salida, teniendo en cuenta los horarios de los viajeros. El personal es amable, flexible y muy atento. El entorno general del complejo es precioso y las instalaciones para cargar dispositivos y la lavandería de autoservicio son muy prácticas. La recepción responde con prontitud y cualquier problema se resuelve rápidamente. Fue muy reconfortante descansar aquí después de un largo viaje, y sin duda volvería a alojarme aquí la próxima vez que esté por la zona. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente a los viajeros que busquen un lugar para descansar. Mi vuelo cambió de hora y, tras hablar con el mayordomo, me ayudaron a extender mi hora de salida, por lo que les estoy muy agradecido. «Ubicación: La ubicación es perfecta, la entrada del hotel da a la calle principal, así que te bajas del coche y ya estás en el hotel. ¡Por fin no tuve que arrastrar mis maletas por calles empedradas! ¡Solo por esto, la ubicación ya es un plus!
