The sound proofing of the rooms are not that good though, so a word of caution for light sleepers.
During our stay, 小李 took really good care of us, never failed to ask what we intended to do on each day, provided help and suggestionsto us on what to do. We started and ended each day chatting with him. 😊
On our check out day, we had to leave at 6.30am to Shangri-La and 小李 woke up to help us with our luggages and waited with us till our driver came! We could not thank him enough and appreciate him going all the way to help us.
We had a wonderful 5-day stay and Lijiang made an impression on us. We definitely recommend anyone to stay there..

RRenee C.I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay.
Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out.
YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful.
First impressions were great.
As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing.
I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable.
Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup.
There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby.
Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin.
The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing.
The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay.
I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

Navigating an ancient, car-free city with luggage can be daunting, but the hotel made it effortless. They provided a free car pickup from the train station, and upon arrival at the city gates, they arranged a human rickshaw to whisk our luggage through the stone streets directly to our door.
A special shoutout to 阿龙 (A-Long), 李琳 (Li Lin), and the entire team. They truly go out of their way to make you feel like family rather than just a guest. Their attentive, friendly, and proactive service is the heart of this boutique stay.

Our room was a dream—clean, incredibly spacious, and centered around a large window that framed the mountain views perfectly. While the aesthetic is traditional, the amenities are high-tech, ensuring a stay that is as convenient as it is comfortable.

We happened to stay during Christmas Eve, and the staff surprised us with two beautifully wrapped Lijiang Apples (平安夜苹果) for good luck and peace. It was such a thoughtful, culturally resonant gesture that made our holiday feel so personal.
✨ All-Inclusive Ease
The value here is exceptional. We loved that breakfast, afternoon tea, and even laundry services were included. It took all the stress out of our travel, allowing us to simply sink into the relaxing atmosphere of the inn.

客栈坐落在丽江古城内一条静谧的石板路旁，完美避开了喧嚣。建筑是极具韵味的传统中式木质结构，古朴雅致。最惊艳的是房间的大落地窗，足不出户就能将远处的山景尽收眼底，每一帧都像画一样。
🤝 无微不至的管家式服务
古城内车辆无法进入，但完全不用担心行李问题。客栈贴心地安排了火车站免费接送，到达古城口后还有人力神同步拉车帮我们把行李一路护送到客栈，服务非常周到。
特别要感谢 阿龙、李琳 以及每一位工作人员。他们不仅仅是员工，更像是在丽江的老朋友，那种发自内心的热情和细致，让整个旅程充满了温情。

在这里完全可以开启“懒人模式”。客栈提供的早餐、下午茶以及洗衣服务全部包含在内，品质都很高。每天下午在院子里喝喝茶，看云卷云舒，这才是向往的生活。

Let us talk about the good things first.
1. Snow Mountain View rooms can see 日照金山from bed.
2. Location is good for going to snow mountain. It takes around 20min to reach visitor centre of snow mountain.
3. Service is very good. U can ask for anything and they will provide for example bubble wrap to pack our fragile shopping. There’s also free laundry service.
4. Good for those who like the activities included in the room package. We did the Naxi home visit, horse riding and art and craft diy and enjoyed them very much. We like the afternoon tea provided too. And we can have coffee and fruits as much as we want.
Now some points to note.
1. Room is a bit small for 3 of us. The toilet is like a shower cubicle that opens into the room. We only discovered the ventilation switch im the middle of the stay and was wondering why the cubicle is so stuffy, not to mention the smell. With the ventilation on, the problems are solved. The shower cubicle is opposite with the sink in between them. All open into the room with no partition around the bathroom area. The walls of the toilet and shower cubicles are frosted glass and is acceptable for me and my daughters, all ladies.
2. The village is very small. Not much to see. We went to a cafe popular on internet that can take photo on the roof with the snow mountain in the background. The drinks are ok but the pasta is not nice. Maybe that’s why this restaurant is not in the recommended list of the hotel. We did not explore the village much but from what I see, it’s just 1 short street.
3. Ask for a 3rd floor room. It has a sky roof over the bed and we can see stars when we turn off all the lights in the room.
Overall, we did not regret our decision to stay here in the Stone Lodge. If the activities were not included in the package, we would not have experienced them at all.

SSheryl 宜芬Cleanliness: room was slightly dusty. Spiders and insects in the room, but expected because it has many oriental decorations that require constant cleaning to prevent dust accummulation.
Location: convenient, it’s of walking distance to the north gate, easy to stroll around to different parts of the ancient town.
Service: I have never given a bad review for the service attitude of any accomodations which I’ve stayed at in China, but I honestly think that the service here is mediocre and more reactive than proactive. They fulfil the basics of bringing your luggage up to your room, giving directions to the laundry and breakfast areas and arranging for pick up from the station to the hotel for a stay of at least three consecutive nights. I cannot speak for all the service staff, but the service staff that mainly tended to me during the stay definitely needs to be improved. He was helpful when I needed help for the laundry setting. However, when I needed help with booking tickets to snow mountain (I’m a foreigner and do not have a local number), it was a rather frustrating experience. He shared that the booking of tickets to Yulong Snow Mountain can be done 3-4 days in advance, and he could help me when I arrive at the accommodations. When I arrived, it was 4 days in advance but he was rather nonchalent and did not manage to help me secure tickets for my intended date of visit and had to eventually rely on the tour group to help change dates. The night before the tour visit, I had to reach out on wechat to ask about when and where the meeting point is for the tour. Even after the tour, I even had to ask several times to pay for the tour tickets as he had helped me to secure the ticket to the glacier park cablecar eventually. I had already shared that I could not transfer money on wechat and could only do via scanning his wechat/alipay qr code or vice versa. I feel that given that you guys are located in Lijiang and located near to Jade Snow Mountain, you should have encountered other customers who need help with the booking and this shouldn’t have been such a stressful tour booking experience.
Amenities: they have two all-in-1 washing machine and drying amenities which was rather helpful. In the original room which i had booked, the air con leaked at around 10pm+. I texted the service staff on wechat and another staff came 5-10minutes later to check. This staff said it’s normal for the air con to leak at times especially if it’s blocked. After checking, he offered to change rooms for me. He helped me to move my luggage to the new room. There was no form of apology by any of the staff on the day itself when the incident happened. It was only on the next day when I requested for check-out transportation services to the railway station for the following day, where the staff who mainly tended to be apologised for the aircon leakage and offered complimentary transport services to the railway station.
I’ve stayed in many accomodations in Yunnan but this was the most disappointing stay thus far and I will definitely not be back again.

DDonn Tan PSEl hotel de la ciudad de Banyan Tree, con su estilo y su estilo, está situado en el centro de la ciudad. Tengo suerte de conseguir una actualización gratuita en una villa con piscinas y Jade Dragon Mountain View justo frente a la habitación con un Jardín (muchas gracias a su personal de oficina frontal).
Lo que me impresionó el más es que todos sus personal están tan bien entrenados en todos los detalles Focusing en darles los mejores servicios que cualquiera desearía. 5 Estrellas a su Dirección de Administración, Aplicación de Gestión, Dedicación de todos los agentes de la Tierra a proporcionar servicios de clase mundial.
El restaurante de la calidad de los alimentos es también muy bueno y a muy razonable precio para un restaurante de 5 estrellas.
Recomiendo este hotel a cualquiera que esté visitando Lijiang ya que incluso su ubicación es perfecta en el Medio de las 3 antiguas ciudades, así que viajar alrededor está dentro de 10-25mins y lejos de las ruidosas antiguas ciudades ocupadas.
Es mi primera vez que paso tanto tiempo y esfuerzos para dar esta revisión honesta porque creo que todo el equipo de árboles Banyan lo merece. UUsuario invitadoEn el casco antiguo de Lijiang encontré una excelente opción de alojamiento: este B&B. Tiene una ubicación estratégica, un diseño único y lleno de ingenio. Al entrar en la habitación, es espaciosa y luminosa, sencilla pero elegante, y el ambiente general es limpio y elegante. Las instalaciones de apoyo son completas y se tienen en cuenta en cada detalle las diversas necesidades. Lo que vale la pena mencionar es que la pequeña terraza adjunta al B&B ofrece una vista panorámica de las montañas cubiertas de nieve. Cuando la brisa de la mañana sopla en tus mejillas, te sientes renovado y cómodo. Tomamos té y charlamos aquí, con el magnífico paisaje de las montañas nevadas a la vista. Desde la bienvenida hasta el servicio diario, ya sea un saludo por la mañana o un servicio tranquilo por la noche, podrá sentir su atención y sinceridad hacia cada huésped. Este lugar no solo me permitió experimentar el entusiasmo y la vitalidad de Lijiang, sino que también me hizo sentir la calidez y la comodidad de un B&B. Fue una experiencia de alojamiento excelente y muy rentable.

CChitrlada HarnCuando mi madre me dio la oportunidad de visitar Lijiang, navegué a muchos hoteles en Trip.com y ordené este hotel de muchos hoteles con buenas opiniones sin saber previamente que esto cumplirá mi satisfacción por el más. Antes de llegar a la ciudad, me encontré con el hotel si mi madre tiene 88 años de edad y necesitaba usar sillas de ruedas. El personal que nos cuidó, xiao Juan , nos ayudó con el plan de viaje, nos escoltaron a la antigua ciudad de Dayan y Shuhe , nos dirigieron a entender la ciudad de Baisha y nos ayudó con todo lo que necesitamos. El hotel está situado en el centro de Baisha, donde se encuentra el centro de Baisha, donde se encuentra el centro de Baisha. La vista de la montaña de nieve se puede ver desde el jardín interior y más claramente desde el tercer piso del hotel. El desayuno es adecuado con un conjunto de platos chinos pequeños, junto con una selección de arroz cocido o de nodos.
