UUsuario invitadoThe BEST hostel I’ve been in my 7 countries Asian trip. The location, the services, the cleaniliness, the attention, all were great.
The hotel is on a renovated old building with exquisite details and curated decoration elements.
Everything is clean. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are big enough to have your small backpack in it. There’s a curtain for privacy and it wasn’t crowded. The other guest were very mindful of others. This hotel is relatively new, they opened in Nov 2025 so, it’s still getting known in the travel world.
You can use the kitchen that has all the implements to cook, store items in the fridge and prepare a breakfast with ingredients that the hotel provides… free, great breakfast!
If you need a towel they give you one at no charge… for now.
The location is great. You can walk to the old town of the city and Concubine ln. It’s a really nice walk. That part of the city saw a past splendor and the buildings show it. There are several restaurants around, even some fast food.
Two things I would review if I was the owner… I waited for an hr before getting my room while other people got settled immediately. My dorm only had 2 ppl in it, the room was ready when I got there. If you have a bed available, just give away even when there’s no the time. It means a lot to the guest that in general has been traveling long hrs, especially if it’s a small place with not many people.
The other thing is to teach us (ignorant westerners), how to use the electric shower heater. I couldn’t make it work because I couldn’t find the on/off button. A small sign could have solved my and others’ frustrations.
The owners are doing an excellent job at the hotel. I’m planning to come back so I’ll be a guest again at the Brownstone.

Overall, my experience exceeded expectations. The combination of great service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made my stay truly enjoyable. I would definitely return in the future.

Llocal travellersBooked family Premier room. Very huge king sized bed which can fit 2 teens and an adult with enough space to spare plus a single bed. So our family of 4 fitted comfortably in the room. Shower power is great and comes with a separate bathtub, still new. Iron hairdryer minifridge provided. Swimming pool available till 6pm, inhouse cinema till 9pm. Free Parking available. Within walking distance from most restaurants. Shares same management with Ritz garden hotel. Will book again.

Llu_with_a_view¡Estancia fantástica! Limpio, almohadas y colchón cómodos (sin somier, no fue un problema para nosotros, pero para que lo sepas). Habitación de buen tamaño con zona para colgar ropa y estante. Buen aire acondicionado. Cantidad suficiente de baños y duchas, y la ducha tiene agua caliente. La ubicación es excelente, cerca de la estación de tren y de muchos restaurantes. Nota: la recepción está dentro del complejo, no en la calle. El registro de entrada fue sencillo y el servicio fue amable (aunque un caballero en la recepción no pudo ayudarnos con ninguna información sobre los autobuses a Cameron Highlands). La zona de la piscina se limpiaba a diario. Me alojaría aquí de nuevo.

Cuando me ingresé, la recepción dijo que mi reserva para el gemelo deluxe ya había terminado, me pidió que me trasladara a su otro hotel, tiempos de autopista en hotel Inn, el estándar podría ser inferior al ipoh Inn ... Mala experiencia ...el cojinete parece viejo ...

UUsuario invitadoFor the price of this hotel. Its really nothing to be expected. A night stay is all it can take. 2 nights will be too much. The next door pub is crazily noisy. The sheets is so old that you can clearly see holes on it. Toilet cleanliness is above average, water pressure and heat is good. Drainage is good, water doesn't clog. The receptionist and workers are polite and kind.

NNajwaI felt that this is the worst hotel i’ve ever been. I paid RM100 for such a small room.
Not functioning aircond. The aircond keep on off after 30 mins or so. And I need to turn it on everytime. I was already so tired travelling from Selangor to Perak. Too tired to wake up from the bed and need to face such problem. The hotel services crew should have check every room air-conditioning function before sell it out to customer. I would have go to cheaper hotel with better environment and space. Just the receiptionist has been treat us well.
Price wise, it doesn’t worth every penny. Uncomfortable room. And hear knocking on the wall from different room. And i can hear people outside talking.
The location of the hotel is okay. Nearby to some tourist attraction spot.
I hope the owner can compensate us for such uncomfortable stay. We sleep in sweat! Keep on waking up. The only reason we people want to stay hotel is to sleep comfortably and rest peacefully. And I couldn’t get both from this hotel. 😭😭😭😭😭😭
