«Very compact rooms but very functional and clean. Give ample water and nice cold brew in the lobby too along with tea. The best part about the hotel was the breakfast - the ladies who run and clean up at breakfast are so kind and accommodating (our child has allergies). Loved the customizable noodle soups and rather large spread that changed daily. Definitely add the breakfast! The free laundry room was very helpful in our travels, though only 2 washers and 2 dryers so there may be a wait depending on volume. The tiny gym is also nice while you wait for your laundry. While the front desk was friendly and efficient, they didn’t really have any recommendations or insight into nearby attractions. The location was also not as convenient as I thought. Still a 15-20 min walk (or longer if you have a toddler) to Nanping Pedestrian St or Kunming Old Town. It’s not right next to anything except big banks. The subway was also not as helpful as I thought, though it easily got us to the train station for a tour to Stone Forest. Overall, still great value for money and would recommend for cleanliness and amenities. But you do need to walk like 5 min or so to anything to do. If you have kids, Xinhua Bookstore is around the corner (5min walk) which is nice for some kid downtime. Malls with famous Yunnan cuisine also 8-10 min walk away.»

«住了這麼多酒店，這家我覺得是性價比極高的酒店王者。聽出租車師傅講，前身應是雲南大酒店，地理位置相當優越，步行10min就可以到「昆明站」。
2025年新裝修開業。設施新，衞生極佳，藝術品味好，直接國際化。早餐區和意大利的早餐廳可以一比，環境有格調非常好，並且十分明亮。
房間裏送歡迎水果，我們這次住在靠近街邊這邊，臨街也不吵，非常安靜，休息的很好。有機器人送餐，點夜宵外賣都很方便。
最可圈可點的就真的是人了。這家酒店老闆就該發財，太會請人。我們從入住遇到的小美女小陶，幫我們升房，貼心給我們發周邊攻略，讓我們一住進來就一緩疲憊，倍感舒心親切。到退房的男孩，到打掃房間的阿姨。這裏的每個服務人員都高素質，談吐不凡，待人體貼，專業親切。真的這家酒店讓我覺得最厲害的就是這些人們了。

MM20r3eo3h****It had been 20 years since I last visited Kunming — I was just 7 years old back then. This time, I came back for something truly special: to propose to my girlfriend on Qixi Festival, China’s Valentine’s Day. Given how much this moment meant to me, I wanted everything to be perfect. That’s why I chose the Grand Hyatt Kunming, a brand I’ve always trusted, and booked a Deluxe King Room with Club Access for August 28–30.
The first night started well. We stayed on the 26th floor — even though the room was near the elevator, it was surprisingly quiet, and the layout and lighting made it feel warm and comfortable. Everything was off to a good start.
But things took a turn the next day — the actual day of the proposal, August 29 — a day I had been planning for a long time.
We were given a room on the 24th floor, and from the moment we walked in, I could tell something was off. The layout felt awkward, and the room was noticeably warmer than the night before. I turned on the air conditioning, but it didn’t seem strong enough. I even checked with the hotel staff that afternoon and was told the room was “standard size.”
After the proposal (which thankfully went beautifully!), my fiancée and I left the room around 9:00 PM for dinner. Before leaving, we set the AC to 16°C, hoping we’d come back to a cool and comfortable space.
But when we returned around 11:30 PM, the room temperature hadn’t improved at all. It was still stuffy, and the bathroom was even worse — no proper ventilation, just heat and humidity. We called the front desk, and two technicians came up. After checking everything, they told us the room was “normal.” I asked if we could switch rooms, but the request was brushed off. They just told us to wait — that it would eventually cool down.
By then it was already 2:00 AM. Both of us were completely exhausted and had no energy left to argue. We tried to sleep. But at 8:30 AM, I woke up drenched in sweat — the room still hadn’t cooled down.
Honestly, I’m heartbroken by this experience. This day was supposed to be one of the most memorable and romantic nights of our lives. And now, while we will remember it, it’s for the wrong reasons. I never imagined that a stay at a Grand Hyatt, in a room I paid extra for (with Club Access and “Deluxe” in the name), would turn out to be so disappointing.
I didn’t come here expecting perfection. But I did expect basic comfort, and at the very least, a response from staff that showed they understood how important this stay was for us. Sadly, that didn’t happen.

I want to especially thank Sam who went above and beyond for us making sure we had everything we needed and helping us book everything from meals to tours in the area. I was there with my wife and kids and the family facilities were superb. A great pool with a kids area (slide and all) , jacuzzis on the side as well. There was also a kids club so the little ones always had something to do. The hotel really had a view on a lake and forest island, highly recommend for a weekend getaway from the cities.

BBlack LibertineEl hotel está situado a medio camino de la montaña y desde su habitación podrá contemplar el lago Dianchi. En realidad, la habitación no es muy grande, pero el patio privado es grande, donde puedes sumergirte en las aguas termales y disfrutar del paisaje. El ambiente es cómodo y agradable y el personal de servicio es sencillo y amigable. Vale la pena la experiencia de estadía. Si hablamos de las deficiencias, sólo hay algunos problemas con la ubicación del hervidor, lo que resulta incómodo de usar. Además, parece que no hay actividades ni instalaciones de ocio y entretenimiento en el hotel, lo que hace que la estancia sea un poco menos interesante. .

LliathanongA relatively new hotel. Perfect for a overnight stay for people rushing to the high speed the next morning. Room was big and comfortable.
We booked for the non smoking level but there is an ashtray on the living room table and u can smell cigarette smoke along corridor. Really wished this country makes more effort in advocating for non smoking despite signs beinf put up.
We managed to search for a little night market, Shilin night market about 10 mins taxi ride away from the hotel. Maybe hotel can provide more information about places around for tourists.
It is also a short walking distance to the metro which is linked to high speed as well.
Managed to book the free pick up from high speed to hotel however the next day's hotel to high speed is already fully booked. We also didn't managed to have breakfast due to timing of our high speed.

I've been staying at this hotel every year since many years ago and unfortunately I've see the quality of the service getting worse and worse. This time it was the worst.
Let me explain. First of all at the check-in counter the staff couldn't really speak English. Maybe I was unlucky, I don't know, but not a great start for an expensive international 5* hotel that it's not cheap.
This hotel was very famous for having one if not THE best breakfast buffet in all Kunming. Now it was just a sad shadow of what it used to be. There's a small room called ”cheese room” where it used to be filled with cheese and cold cuts. Now the room is empty, just filled with decorations and two lonely plates with salami. The rest of the breakfast used to have international dishes and I'm not exaggerating when I say that it was a feast. The morning I stayed it was pretty much all Chinese food, and the quality was bad too. Clearly not fresh and reheated for I don't know how many times. The staff didn't even come to ask which coffee I wanted when I arrived, something that has never happened in my previous stays.
The Afternoon Tea and Apero Chic snacks available at the millesime club also has gotten worse. They don't replenish the dishes after they are finished and there aren't really that many dishes. Used to be much better a few years ago.
Unfortunately I've seen this trend also in the previous years but this years is the worse.
I'm used to staying in cheap Chinese hostels and I can easily adjust to any kind of accomodations but if you pay for a 5* hotel then you expect 5* service.
Sad because everything else is really good.

The hotel itself was beautifully maintained, with spacious and comfortable rooms, excellent facilities, and a calm atmosphere that made it easy to relax after exploring the city. The service across the board was attentive and professional, but Jeanee’s personal touch really made our stay feel extra special.
The hot springs are an incredible feature! There were several to choose from with ranging temperatures!
We would highly recommend HUALUXE Kunming to anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning on our next trip

La arquitectura del hotel desprende un fuerte encanto del sudeste asiático. Nada más entrar, te sientes como si estuvieras de vacaciones en Tailandia. La vegetación tropical y la exquisita decoración crean un ambiente relajante y acogedor.
¡Las aguas termales y el spa del hotel son realmente un punto culminante! La piscina cubierta climatizada con atrio, de 1130 metros cuadrados, cuenta con aguas cristalinas, ideales para un refrescante baño. También hay una zona de juegos infantiles donde los niños no querrán irse. En el exterior, hay 18 piscinas termales, cada una con un hermoso diseño y privacidad. El baño de vapor de sal también merece una visita; te deja con una sensación de relajación total. También disfruté de un masaje de aromaterapia herbal. La técnica experta del masajista y su suave presión fueron perfectas, dejándome completamente renovado. Las opciones gastronómicas también son excelentes. El restaurante de mariscos Xilehui y el restaurante Yiduo Yuntai ofrecen un menú rico y variado, con cocina de Yunnan, Sichuan, cantonesa y tailandesa, para todos los gustos. Cada plato se prepara con ingredientes frescos y es increíblemente delicioso.
El servicio es excepcionalmente atento, desde el personal de recepción al momento del check-in hasta el personal de las aguas termales.
