I rarely write any reviews, but my stay at the Doubletree was extremely worth documenting. Coming out of a 24 hour long trip, this hotel and its staff Yedda, Daisy, Jack and Mr. Wang immediately made me feel home! First of all, arranging airport pick up was extremely smooth. Mr. Wang waited for me patiently at a clearly instructed parking place, so there was no confusion. Next, as soon as I arrive at the hotel, there were staff members helping me with the suitcase and guiding me to check in. Then Yeda and Daisy showed their extreme hospitality by providing an amazing room on a higher floor with a view, helped me charging my phone, providing me with freshly baked welcoming snacks. And Jack walked me through on connecting my phone and laptop to the hotel WIFI. Due to my work schedule, they’ve accommodated me with late checkout. Room is huge and clean with full amenities.. even a scale! And yes! I ate both of the rice noodle dishes!! Thank you for going above and beyond taking care of me on this short trip.. I’ll be back and will looking forward to seeing Mr. Wang, Yedda, Daisy, and Jack again soon!

This hotel is located right inside the Kunming Changshui airport. You have to go to Arrivals exit 5, then catch the elevator that runs from Floor 1 Arrivals to Floor 3 Departures. The hotel itself is at a small desk on Floor 2 between these floors. The hotel is a good quality around a 4 star rating as for its room decorations and is the only official sleeping space actually inside the KMG airport. That said, the hotel wins big on convenience and I would recommend it highly if you have a layover of less than 12 hours. It is pretty hard to beat walking out of your room, pressing a button to go up one floor in an elevator, and being smack dab right in the middle of the airport check-in action. No shuttles, no taxis, no messing with drivers or maps. But half of the rooms have no window (you can pay more for a window) and the rooms feel a bit stuffy as there is no fresh air. The hotel is also in a bit of an administrative purgatory floor that definitely lacks character. They have added some tan hotel carpet here but the Floor 2 Ji Hotel area definitely has a bit of “soulless” airport bureaucrat hallway feel. So you are definitely not getting the”wow factor” of a nice expansive hotel lobby. For that you will need to book another airport hotel that is 3-5km away and has a free airport shuttle. So it just depends what you are looking for. If you are big into convenience and expediency in travel - this hotel is for you. If you are looking for a more classic hotel experience with breakfast, room service, a gym, etc. there are many great hotels in the area for $50-$70 USD per night that offer better amenities and fresher air.

This hotel room was incredible. It was super large and had a desk and a separate seating nook with a mini desk. The shower and toilet were separate and I was on quite a high floor so the view was nice. The laundry room was also very good, and the staff were very kind and helpful.

La ubicación del hotel es excelente, la recepción también es fácil de encontrar, el transporte es conveniente, la habitación es limpia y cómoda, y las instalaciones están completas. Stayed here during my trip from Japan and had a very good experience. The hotel is in a convenient location, and the front desk staff spoke English, which was very helpful for me. Check-in was easy and the staff were polite.Breakfast was better than expected with many international options. I was happy that the food was not too spicy, so it was comfortable for Japanese guests as well.I also tried the craft beer at the hotel bar and really liked it. Overall, a comfortable and relaxing stay. I would stay here again next time in Kunming.

Muy buena experiencia de check-in, muy rentable. Excepto por el aislamiento acústico ligeramente deficiente de la habitación, no hay otros defectos. La habitación está limpia e higiénica, el diseño de la decoración es muy bueno, la cama es muy cómoda para dormir y la señal de la red inalámbrica es muy buena. El jefe vio que éramos personas mayores y nos arregló especialmente una habitación muy tranquila. Cuando salimos a jugar, nos envió especialmente a la estación de metro. Nos conmovió mucho y seguiremos quedándonos la próxima vez.

Reservamos una habitación en el Hotel JEN a última hora y, en general, tuvimos una experiencia bastante agradable. Si bien la ubicación está un poco alejada del centro de la ciudad, sigue siendo muy conveniente gracias a la estación de metro justo al lado del hotel. La habitación estaba limpia y bien mantenida, y el personal fue amable y atento durante toda nuestra estancia. Dicho esto, la distribución del baño no es muy práctica. La puerta de la ducha se abre hacia afuera, lo que dificulta entrar y salir con comodidad. Debido a su ubicación, la alfombrilla del suelo suele moverse o arrugarse, lo que resulta aún más incómodo. También nos decepcionó que en la página web se indicara que había servicio de lavandería para huéspedes, pero al registrarnos nos informaron de lo contrario. Esta inconsistencia debería corregirse para evitar confusiones a futuros huéspedes.

¡El ambiente de la habitación es increíble! La distribución es cálida, la cama es suave y amplia, y el olor es muy agradable para dormir. El baño está limpio y sin olores, y el suministro de agua caliente es estable. El aislamiento acústico es de primera clase, no te molestará en absoluto y podrás dormir plácidamente toda la noche. El servicio es aún mejor. La recepcionista es entusiasta y profesional, y el registro de entrada y salida es rapidísimo. Si tienes alguna necesidad, solo tienes que llamar a recepción y el personal te ayudará a resolverla rápidamente.
