We stayed at Kunming PAPMAN Hotel Wanda for our first night in Kunming, and honestly, it was by far the best hotel of our entire stay. We only stayed for one night and didn’t have a chance to explore the surrounding area, but the hotel itself was exceptional. The hotel occupies two floors within a larger building, so there isn’t direct access to the hotel lobby from the ground floor. However, the hotel contacted us in advance with clear instructions on where to meet them at the car park. The staff came down to meet us, helped with all our luggage and brought us up to the lobby. This could have been an inconvenience, but the level of service completely made up for it. The staff were incredibly attentive, warm and genuinely went above and beyond from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is beautifully designed. Every corner was thoughtfully decorated and incredibly photogenic, and the overall aesthetic was stylish without compromising on comfort. Even our room was beautifully designed, comfortable and very well equipped, with lots of thoughtful amenities included. The views from the hotel were also lovely. Unfortunately, it was raining during our stay, so we didn’t get to properly enjoy or photograph the rooftop pool, which was a little disappointing — but it gives us another reason to come back! One of our favourite additions was the photoshoot. The hotel was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to arrange a much earlier photoshoot slot because we were short on time. The experience was so good that we ended up purchasing additional photos beyond the three included with our room. It was such a fun and memorable experience. Our room rate also included afternoon tea, although we arrived at night and unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to try it. However, supper was included and was honestly one of the highlights. It was a combination of semi-buffet and made-to-order dishes, with a surprisingly good variety. Everything we tried was delicious, and there was more than enough food. It was such a nice and unexpected inclusion, especially after travelling all day. We were also celebrating our child’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel had thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake and a little present for him in advance. It was such a sweet and thoughtful touch, and really made us feel welcomed and looked after❤️ Overall, we were genuinely impressed by this hotel. From the beautiful design and comfortable rooms to the incredible service, thoughtful inclusions, photoshoot and birthday surprise, everything felt very well thought out. The service in particular really stood out — the staff were attentive, friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our short stay. We only stayed one night and didn’t leave the hotel during our stay, so unfortunately we can’t comment much on the surrounding area or its convenience for exploring Kunming. But based purely on our experience at the hotel, we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Ofrecen desayuno, merienda y refrigerio nocturno, y el sabor de todo era bastante aceptable. En general, a excepción de que la ubicación es un poco remota. Por la mañana, al hacer el check-out y bajar en el ascensor a la planta baja, vi que habían fregado el suelo. Sin embargo, a juzgar por el penetrante olor a pescado que me invadió nada más salir del ascensor, diría que lo hicieron con agua de muy mala calidad.

Excelente hotel de aeropuerto. Habitaciones impresionantes, con un diseño precioso y con todo lo necesario ¡y más! Agradezco el servicio de transporte gratuito al aeropuerto, que opera cada media hora de 4:00 a 14:00. Es necesario avisar en recepción con antelación, ya que las plazas del coche son limitadas. Este servicio es muy práctico, sobre todo cuando viajo con mis padres mayores. Un agradecimiento especial al conductor, que fue muy amable y educado con el equipaje. En recepción nos prepararon un desayuno para llevar, lo cual fue un detalle muy atento: huevos, pan y leche. Sin embargo, nos confiscaron la leche en la aduana del aeropuerto porque olvidamos que no podíamos llevar líquidos. Es algo que los huéspedes deben tener en cuenta, y quizás el hotel pueda recordárselo. Sin embargo, debo destacar algunas peculiaridades de este lugar que espero que mejoren la experiencia. Hay un tramo de escaleras empinado entre la calle principal y el edificio del hotel; en mi opinión, es un diseño urbano peculiar, pero esto parece estar fuera del control del hotel. Eso significa que si llevas equipaje pesado y tienes que manejar a personas mayores con problemas para despertarse, esto es problemático. Recepción nos indicó una pendiente en el empinado tramo de escaleras, pero es tan empinada que bien podría no existir. Preguntamos si en recepción había alguien que pudiera ayudar, quizás un maletero o un joven, pero no había nadie. Tampoco fueron muy útiles a la hora de sugerir alternativas para entrar al hotel. Mucho después nos dimos cuenta de que hay una puerta trasera en la planta baja, aunque podría significar una caminata más larga para llegar. Pero es mejor que no dar sugerencias. Aunque no espero que las recepcionistas ayuden con el equipaje pesado, pensé que la gerencia podría tener algunos protocolos para ayudar a los huéspedes que tienen problemas con el empinado tramo de escaleras. En el siglo XXI, es importante considerar un diseño inclusivo de la oferta de servicios para alcanzar estándares más internacionales. Solo una sugerencia para la gerencia. En general, es un buen hotel con un equipo excelente, pero la capacitación del personal de servicio podría ser mejor. La recepción es excelente en cuanto a las funciones básicas, pero podría mejorar un poco y ser un poco más comprensiva con los huéspedes que buscan apoyo y ayuda. Creo que este hotel tiene un gran potencial para competir con otras grandes marcas internacionales con mejoras en el servicio. Ibis está justo al lado, pero espero que las marcas chinas prosperen aún más en el futuro próximo. ¡Estaré atento a esta cadena china cuando visite China! :)

Me tomé un tiempo libre específicamente para relajarme en este hotel de bienestar. Al entrar, el relajante aroma a hierbas y madera disipó instantáneamente mi irritación. La decoración general es minimalista y zen, las áreas comunes son tranquilas y elegantes. El hotel ofrece clases de yoga, meditación y terapias capilares, entre otros programas de bienestar. Los servicios incluidos en el paquete se pueden disfrutar libremente sin ventas agresivas. La insonorización de la habitación es excelente, la ropa de cama es suave y por la noche no hay ningún ruido. El personal habla en voz baja y amable, siendo atento y meticuloso en todo momento. Aquí no hay que seguir un itinerario, solo hay que desconectar y toda la presión de una semana de trabajo se desvanece. Es perfecto para relajarse y sanar.

We booked a Deep Sleep Pro Pillow Room after heading my friend stayed in Atour hotels in China 🇨🇳 + our great stay at Atour hotel in Dali. One of the main reasons we chose this room type was the pillow, which was incredibly comfortable and supportive in Dali. However, the pillows here were completely different :( When we asked the reception about it, this lady first response wasn’t very helpful but another gentleman staff offered to put a “Pro 3” pillows for us to try - which wasn’t the same one :( Thankfully, a third staff we spoke to was very kind (she worked night shift on 15th July) and took the time to contact the Dali hotel for us. We then learned that the pillow we liked was actually customized for that hotel and not a standard pillow across all Atour properties. We really appreciated her effort and excellent service 👍🏻 The room and bathroom were a decent size, but the hotel felt a little older and less modern than the Atour hotel we stayed at the night before. 16 July at 1am, pleasant surprise was the robot delivery service for food orders. The robot brought deliveries to our room remarkably quickly, and we were genuinely impressed by the speed + efficiency! The location was average. The hotel is about an 8-minute taxi ride from Wuyi Road (五一路) and around a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro station. It is located on a neighborhood street, a temple next to hotel will hear some music instrument/prayers however it didn’t disturb our sleep in particularly. Overall, the stay was just okay, but the experience didn’t quite match the expectations set by our previous stay at Atour Dali. The excellent service from the helpful receptionist and the fast robot delivery service were highlights, but the inconsistent pillow experience and less convenient location were disappointing tho!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. I wanted to be in a hotel near the airport. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was included. It was Chinese style buffet breakfast. If you like noodles, you could get it done to order. The hotel organized a shuttle to drop me at the airport. I enjoyed the Pu'er Tea and the tea set found in the room. Thumbs Up for quality tea! If you are looking for a hotel close to the airport in Kunming, then this hotel is good value for money. It can be a little tricky to find the entrance of the hotel as it is small street behind other buildings. Be careful if you get a taxi/didi to make sure you get dropped off in front of the hotel.

We had a great one-night stay. The room was clean and spacious, located in a quiet gated community. We arrived around noon and were warmly welcomed by the owner. At the gate, we showed our booking details to security, then walked a short distance to the unit with our luggage. We enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by the in-house chef, and the owner also made us excellent, good quality coffee. The house is very close to Dianchi Lake, just a few steps from the gate. We were able to walk around the lake and even took a cableway across to the Western Hills (Must do). The lake area was also lovely for a nighttime walk. Overall, our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. We wish we had stayed longer. The owner and staff were very friendly and made our stay even more pleasant.😊

The location of Ruibo was so convenient to get to our early morning train at Kunmingnan Station in under 10 minutes. It is also situated right across from a lovely suburban lake with a beautiful path around it. Our family so enjoyed walking around this lake in the afternoon. The air was fresh, there were not so many people that you might encounter in Downtown Kunming, and my daughter found so many dandelions to blow! There are also many lovely and fairly priced restaurants down below the hotel to choose from offering a variety of Yunnan fare. Check in was flawless, and the check in agent was so kind and calm in the lobby. Now let's get to the room!!!! It had a stunning view of the lake, the train stAtion, trains and surrounding mountains. Everything in this brand new room is so well designed. There many nooks and crannies with well situated seats and cupboards. Space is so well thought out. My daughter's favourite seat was the couch incorporated into the windowsill. She could sit there and draw while looking out the window. The loft was awesome for our larger group of 4 people. The upstairs loft has its own bathroom and shower and sink!!! This was so appreciated after weeks of waiting our turns for the single toilet and shower that we found with other loft hotels! Best of all...both bathrooms had smart toilets!!! This was the first of 6 rooms we have stayed in around Yunnan to feature smart toilets. The price of this room was such value for the amenities and facilities we got! I would definitely stay here again, especially if arriving or departing on the southern trains!

La habitación es muy grande y muy decente. La mejor cosa para mí, al margen de la hermosa vista, la habitación grande y la cama grande es el baño inteligente (verifique en particular los lugares con bidet para mis estancias, y este lugar tiene una de alta tecnología). Aprecio que el baño, la bañera y el ducha están separados. El personal es muy amable y útil. El personal me ayudó a encontrarme en el WeChat, que me ayudó mucho durante mi estancia en China. El único con que puedo decir (si usted es específico con ubicación) es que no está tan cerca de los lugares turísticos habituales como la calle Kunming Old, pero está cerca de la estación de tren del Sur (Kunmingnan). No es un gran cono para mí, ya que me disfruté de las tiendas y calles cercanas. Esta es una de las cosas buenas aquí también. Es en la parte superior de una tienda, y justo por el lugar también es un lugar para ir a comprar (para ropa, comida, restaurantes). También hay un gran supermercado/departamento en el centro comercial de la puerta siguiente. En general, personalmente, encuentro este lugar ideal para permanecer en Kunming.
