UUsuario invitadoLa ubicación es excelente, justo al lado de Jinmafang, pero a la vez muy tranquila, lejos del bullicio de la ciudad. La habitación era luminosa, estaba bien equipada y muy limpia. Tenía aire acondicionado central y humidificador. El personal también fue muy amable y acogedor, lo que me hizo sentir como en casa. Sin duda, me alojaré aquí de nuevo la próxima vez que esté en Kunming.

TTraveling SamI had an early morning flight scheduled out of Kunming International Airport. I wanted to ensure that I didn’t miss the flight and this hotel is conveniently located on level 2 of the airport with the departures located 1 level above. I was greeted politely by staff that didn’t speak English, but they used a translator app and we were able to communicate the necessary information. The room was around the corner from check-in. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had all the necessities. If you need a reasonably priced hotel near the airport this is a good choice.

VVitamin CWe had a wonderful stay at Atour Hotel Kunming. The location is very central. It’s in the same building with Four Points by Sheraton with easy access to Nanping Pedestrian Street and halal food options nearby. The hotel is modern, clean, and beautifully aesthetic.
We were happy to receive a complimentary room upgrade. The free laundry service, including dryer and delivery back to our room, was extremely convenient. The staff showed warm hospitality and kindly allowed a late check-out till 3.00 p.m., which we truly appreciated.
Highly recommended for families and Muslim travellers visiting Kunming.

DDiana AldereiWe recently stayed at this hotel with my husband and had quite a mixed experience – some parts were truly lovely, while others left us a bit disappointed.
First of all, the villa itself was absolutely beautiful and incredibly spacious. The natural hot spring water was one of the highlights of our stay — such a relaxing and unique experience. The surrounding territory is also well-maintained and very peaceful, perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature.
However, it’s important to note that the location is quite remote — it took us around an hour to get to places where we could eat or enjoy a cup of coffee. This is understandable considering the mountain setting and access to hot springs.
The afternoon tea was decent, and although lunch wasn’t included in our stay, we tried the local mixian noodles and they were absolutely delicious! Must try! Unfortunately, breakfast was disappointing, especially for guests like us who don’t eat pork or pork oil - there were very few options.
A few maintenance and cleanliness issues also affected our stay. The outdoor pool was not super clean, some insects were swimming there. While we really loved the hot spring bathtub in the villa, the facilities could use a bit more upkeep. The toilet setup was quite basic — a minimum upgrade like a bidet spray or shower toilet would make a big difference, especially for international or Muslim guests.
A more distressing part of our stay was that we found dead insects under the blanket in our bed after returning to our room one evening 🥲 I do appreciate the staff’s polite and kind response – they offered tea and explained it may have fallen from the ceiling – but for someone with a strong phobia of insects, this made it difficult to sleep and really affected my comfort. I do believe this is something that should be taken more seriously, especially in a hotel of this level.
Despite these issues, the staff was very polite, cute and extremely helpful & friendly, and I can see the potential for a truly magical experience here with just a few improvements. I really wanted to love everything — and part of me did — but I was also happy to go back home, just to feel more comfortable and relaxed.

Debido a que íbamos a tomar un tren, le pedimos al personal del hotel que nos ayudara a recoger varias cosas y nos proporcionara tarjetas de salida. La actitud de servicio del conserje y. Las señoritas de la recepción fueron muy amables y realmente nos sentimos como en casa. Como somos chicas, la recepción tomó la iniciativa de darnos una habitación para no fumadores. Aunque la decoración de la habitación no era nueva, no había olor y la vista nocturna de Kunming desde el piso 26 era bastante buena.

GGlenysMFairyland Shangpin Hotel in Kunming, is a really nice hotel, in a terrific location….. but as the extra bit in title mentions, is in a pedestrian street, therefore if you have a mountain of luggage, or mobility issues, or toddlers & babies to carry, you might want to think twice about booking here or in any other hotel in the pedestrian streets in the neighbourhood. It’s one of the fabulous features of the area, but you do need to be aware that vehicles are not allowed in this area….. AND …. the only way into the hotel is via a flight of stairs.
My Grab driver from the airport dropped me off where his gps directed him to, but it meant an overly long walk lugging my bag through crowds of tourists on a stinking hot Sunday arv on cobbled streets (obviously not designed when wheeled suitcases were invented!). I discovered the next day that Wuyi Rd subway station is really close to the hotel… less than a 5 minute walk away. Turn left outside the hotel entrance. Turn right at the corner (150m away), and one of the entrances to the subway is just along there on the right. When I looked it up, it turns out it takes half the time to & from the airport as it does by car and costs next to nothing, so I caught it to the airport (just 1 easy transfer along the way), and was really glad I did. It’s a pity the hotel doesn’t include that important info in its listing!
The hotel’s Reception & dining room staff are all super friendly and nice, and my room was really lovely, with a great shower, power points that my Australian hair straightener and phone chargers plugged straight into, and a big window that opens and which overlooks rooftops, alleyways, cafes, high-rises and lots more. There’s also a window beside every lift entrance, so you can all the locals dancing in the public square, which is just fabulous!
There is a laundry for guest use on the same floor as the breakfast room, but every time I checked, both machines were in use, so I wouldn’t count on getting any washing done if you’re only staying for a couple of days.
Loved wandering around the cobbled streets (from right outside the hotel), day & night. Lots to see & do. Lots of colour, lots of people (including all the locals folk dancing together in the square), lots of places to eat, drink and shop nearby. Highly recommend Fairyland Shangpin Hotel to those who are ok with walking (& pulling luggage) over cobblestones, and up & down stairs to and from the hotels entrances (one to the front door, and a second entrance near the lift). It’s worth it! ☺️

Está ubicada en el centro de la calle peatonal, lo cual es muy conveniente para comer y hacer compras. No hay aire acondicionado, pero el hotel es muy atento y proporciona ventiladores, que también calientan mucho. Sin embargo, no hay sitio para aparcar, por lo que deberá aparcar en el aparcamiento de Kunbaida por su cuenta.
