We stayed at Kunming PAPMAN Hotel Wanda for our first night in Kunming, and honestly, it was by far the best hotel of our entire stay. We only stayed for one night and didn’t have a chance to explore the surrounding area, but the hotel itself was exceptional. The hotel occupies two floors within a larger building, so there isn’t direct access to the hotel lobby from the ground floor. However, the hotel contacted us in advance with clear instructions on where to meet them at the car park. The staff came down to meet us, helped with all our luggage and brought us up to the lobby. This could have been an inconvenience, but the level of service completely made up for it. The staff were incredibly attentive, warm and genuinely went above and beyond from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is beautifully designed. Every corner was thoughtfully decorated and incredibly photogenic, and the overall aesthetic was stylish without compromising on comfort. Even our room was beautifully designed, comfortable and very well equipped, with lots of thoughtful amenities included. The views from the hotel were also lovely. Unfortunately, it was raining during our stay, so we didn’t get to properly enjoy or photograph the rooftop pool, which was a little disappointing — but it gives us another reason to come back! One of our favourite additions was the photoshoot. The hotel was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to arrange a much earlier photoshoot slot because we were short on time. The experience was so good that we ended up purchasing additional photos beyond the three included with our room. It was such a fun and memorable experience. Our room rate also included afternoon tea, although we arrived at night and unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to try it. However, supper was included and was honestly one of the highlights. It was a combination of semi-buffet and made-to-order dishes, with a surprisingly good variety. Everything we tried was delicious, and there was more than enough food. It was such a nice and unexpected inclusion, especially after travelling all day. We were also celebrating our child’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel had thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake and a little present for him in advance. It was such a sweet and thoughtful touch, and really made us feel welcomed and looked after❤️ Overall, we were genuinely impressed by this hotel. From the beautiful design and comfortable rooms to the incredible service, thoughtful inclusions, photoshoot and birthday surprise, everything felt very well thought out. The service in particular really stood out — the staff were attentive, friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our short stay. We only stayed one night and didn’t leave the hotel during our stay, so unfortunately we can’t comment much on the surrounding area or its convenience for exploring Kunming. But based purely on our experience at the hotel, we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Recomiendo encarecidamente este Four Points by Sheraton en el centro de la ciudad. Su ubicación es inmejorable, rodeado de numerosas zonas comerciales, lo que lo hace increíblemente conveniente para hacer turismo y disfrutar de la gastronomía. This hotel is located right inside the Kunming Changshui airport. You have to go to Arrivals exit 5, then catch the elevator that runs from Floor 1 Arrivals to Floor 3 Departures. The hotel itself is at a small desk on Floor 2 between these floors. The hotel is a good quality around a 4 star rating as for its room decorations and is the only official sleeping space actually inside the KMG airport. That said, the hotel wins big on convenience and I would recommend it highly if you have a layover of less than 12 hours. It is pretty hard to beat walking out of your room, pressing a button to go up one floor in an elevator, and being smack dab right in the middle of the airport check-in action. No shuttles, no taxis, no messing with drivers or maps. But half of the rooms have no window (you can pay more for a window) and the rooms feel a bit stuffy as there is no fresh air. The hotel is also in a bit of an administrative purgatory floor that definitely lacks character. They have added some tan hotel carpet here but the Floor 2 Ji Hotel area definitely has a bit of “soulless” airport bureaucrat hallway feel. So you are definitely not getting the”wow factor” of a nice expansive hotel lobby. For that you will need to book another airport hotel that is 3-5km away and has a free airport shuttle. So it just depends what you are looking for. If you are big into convenience and expediency in travel - this hotel is for you. If you are looking for a more classic hotel experience with breakfast, room service, a gym, etc. there are many great hotels in the area for $50-$70 USD per night that offer better amenities and fresher air.

El desempeño del hotel en todos los aspectos es excelente y satisfactorio. Instalaciones completas, habitaciones amplias y confortables y ubicación estratégica. El personal de servicio es amable y profesional y puede brindarle ayuda oportuna en cualquier momento. Hay ricas opciones de alimentos para satisfacer su paladar. El precio es razonable y rentable. El entorno que lo rodea es hermoso y el aire es fresco. Los aspectos de seguridad y salud son muy buenos, lo cual es tranquilizador.

Me alojé en una habitación doble y quedé muy satisfecho. El hostal estaba limpio y ordenado, con un diseño elegante que permitía tomar fotos estupendas; cada rincón tenía un ambiente genial. La ropa de cama era cómoda y la habitación lo suficientemente espaciosa, lo que hizo que la estancia fuera muy agradable. La mayor sorpresa fue el desayuno gratuito. Si bien la selección no era muy amplia, la comida estaba deliciosa y tenía una excelente relación calidad-precio: un desayuno muy completo. La ubicación también es muy práctica, con fácil acceso a restaurantes y tiendas cercanas: ¡muchas opciones gastronómicas! Lo más singular es que el ambiente general del hostal me recordó al Hotel Madier en Harbin; tenía un aire retro pero artístico. Encontrar un hostal tan elegante en Kunming superó con creces mis expectativas.

I had a very pleasant stay at Fengyun Pavilion Hotel . The location is excellent, with convenient access to nearby shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any requests. I especially appreciated that they allowed me to extend my check-out time, which made my departure much more convenient. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient location, large rooms, and excellent customer service.

Conveniently located close to Nanping Pedestrian Street and short walk to Kunming Old Town. Breakfast on the rooftop has a pretty good local spread with clean and comfortable setup. A lot of spas nearby for pampering. Staff are helpful

I came to visit Kunming with my mom and my kid. This hotel is fantastic! The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful; location of the hotel is right by Dian Chi and Haigeng Park. Hotel provides rides to the Yunnan Nation Villages which was super cool! The breakfast was great - lots of choices for the whole family. We ate four dinners at the hotel restaurant. They are delicious! Would definitely recommend it to others!
