A hostel style accommodation. But we booked a room with En-suite toilet. Check in was easy. Rooms were clean. Found the beds way too soft but was okay for 1 night. A good place to stay if you have an early morning cave activities the next day.

La cocina es una habitación con un coche, un coche individual con muebles, un parking, un alojamiento extra agradable. ¡Muy limpio! ¡Qué bonito decoración y cerca de la calle de comida. ¡Qué buenas vistas. Recomendación 100%

We stayed one night en route to Hobbiton and liked it so much that we stayed another 2 later in our trip. Great location, and Cambridge is a relatively easy base to get to other places from. Beautiful decor throughout, nice finishings and really peaceful. It was very busy during our stay (around Christmas/NY) so a little wait for food/drinks but that’s to be expected. We had positive interactions with all hotel and restaurant staff. My only feedback is that the switches in the rooms have blue lights on them, which, for people that like a black-out room, can disrupt sleep. Hopefully an easy fix!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 — Comfortable, Clean, and Great for a Short Stay This isn’t a fancy or high-end hotel, but it’s definitely a great place to spend a couple of nights—especially if you’re visiting Rotorua and Taupō. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which is really all you need for a short stay when you’re out exploring most of the day. Don’t expect 5-star facilities or luxury features, but the overall experience is solid and very safe too. The stay was pleasant, the environment was tidy, and it offered good value for money. A reliable and convenient option for travellers passing through or wanting a simple base to explore the area.

What a great place. This is NZ history and I would rather stay here than go to any museum. Thank you We will return

Beautiful bed and breakfast located in a quiet area of Waitomo. The rooms are well appointed, shared spaces are kept clean by responsible and respectful guests. Overall a welcoming and pleasant stay.

Inicialmente nos asignaron la habitación 101 pero era demasiado ruidosa por los aparatos externos del aire acondicionado que dan a un patio interior del edificio. Finalmente Chris nos cambió a la habitación 412 que, a pesar de estar al lado de la lavandería, no se escuchaba tanto ruido y pudimos descansar. La habitación es muy amplia, igual que las camas son muy grandes y cómodas. La presión de la ducha era fantástica. Tuvimos una estancia agradable. Gracias Chris!

We loved the room which came with a balcony overlooking the beautiful lake Taupo. The grotto and the heated pool were amazing and provided us with a very relaxing stay.

Very convenient location. Good activities for kids. The only thing is that we had a bed with wheels that kinds of tilted but we were quite busy with hije and tired so didn't complaint. But rest were all good. Overall good experience
