Wife and I Stayed over the Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our recent anniversary. We have stayed at most of the Historic Williamsburg hotels and this one several times in the past. We love the historic area and it is so nice to be close and be able to walk around the area and to Merchant square without having to search for parking on a busy weekend. The Lodge is very nice and the rooms well appointmented and decorated. This weekend we paid over $400 per night. The most consistent and disappointing problem we encounter every time we stay is the mattresses are terrible. This weekend was no different as it was a king bed which sagged deeply in both sleeping sides and gave little to no support. My wife and I both developed back pain after the first night and it only got worse the second. Again we have stayed at most of the properties in the historic area and even the colonial houses and this has more often than not been a problem. I think they just don't switch out the mattresses for new ones often enough and they get very worn and uncomfortable. We love the historic area very much and always enjoy our walks through the area, but this might be the last time we stay at a colonial property. You would think being a Marriott property it would be better now, but it is not.

Great experience. Enjoyed the friendly chats in the morning and the room was so comfortable. My husband and I stayed in the restoration suite which was perfect for us with ample closet and drawer space. Very good sized bathroom. The breakfast consisted of instant oatmeal, yogurts and cookies or muffin tops. Not a bed and breakfast fare but perfect for us as we wanted to head right out the door in the morning. Chips and cookie snacks along with tea and coffee in the dining area. The best part ---- location! We parked the car and didn't need it again till we left. The Colonial area was a 10 minute walk and a 15 minute walk to the art museum. Plenty of restaurants and ice cream parlors all around! Can't wait to go back.

La pequeña zona de cocina tiene una microondas y un pequeño refrigerador, pero no hay platos; el cuidador nos dejó amablemente jabón de plato y esponja, pero sería útil tener la casa almacenada con esos platos y unos pocos platos. La ubicación de la casa era excelente, muy conveniente para todo. Me gustaría saber más sobre la experiencia de personas esclavizadas y de personas libres de color en la República temprana: más visitas, performances, y también demostraciones de cómo y dónde trabajaron ellos y otros servos. ¿Dónde dormiron? ¿Qué comían y usaban? ¿Qué condiciones de vida eran como? Más interactivas y las manos sobre experiencias para niños también serían útiles. Y en todo el diálogo hay que ser describido si no se traduce para ser más audible/accesible y para los hablantes de inglés no nativos.

Great morning breakfast^ from 6am til 9am The staff was very friendly amd very helpful. The rooms had micro frig and clean .since we only had a 2 night stay, we put our towels outside of the room doors and received fresh one from the desk. Will return soon

This is a wonderful property staffed by some of the nicest people you will ever meet. The GM of this Best Western was very kind to my grandson and I. Neal took extra time to go out of his way to let my 7-year old grandson and I know about a recreation area where we were able to play ball. This might seem like a small gesture of kindness, but it meant the world to this grandpa and his grandson. Thanks Neal! The rooms are great, the king bed we had was just right. We look forward to staying at the BW Historic District in Williamsburg again soon.

Estaba en este hotel antes y me decepcionó. Vine aquí otra vez porque estoy con Choice Hotel Rewards y pensé que le daría otra oportunidad. Lo que puedo decir esta vez fue: agua caliente para mi tubo de trabajo constante y constante Wi-Fi. En general desde mi última revisión de este hotel puedo decir que estoy satisfecho. Mi habitación era limpia y espaciosa, agua caliente, servicio de Wi-Fi, así que me alegro. También es una ubicación excelente para el centro de Williamsburg, puedes caminar allí en menos de 30 minutos. El hotel está situado en una zona de la calle, a la que se le ofrece un restaurante de panqueques, un excelente lugar para el desayuno.
