LLiimm11I’ve been to many holidays and I rarely leave reviews, but this is the best accommodation I’ve stayed in so far. The service was impeccable and cannot be compared to other accommodations. There was 6 of us and 4 of us stayed in a family room, while the other 2 stayed in a couple room. There was enough space for all our big luggages.
Both rooms were clean, neat and great. The views were amazing as well. We stayed in the winter, but the room heater was strong and the bed had a heating function too. The cleaner cleans the room everyday and tops up all the water, toothbrush etc.
The surrounding area near the homestay is good, with a tourist attraction just 5 minutes away on foot. It’s very easy to call a DiDi near the homestay, and it is located in a very convenient district.
The owners were very nice, they gave us fruits upon arrival and even topped up our rooms with water as the air was very dry. The owner even brought us to a nearby restaurant and the food was so good, my family and I went back twice.
Although there was no elevator, but the service was extremely good at the homestay and the owners helped us with all our baggages. As we are foreigners, the staff recommended food and visiting places in Dali, and went above and beyond by helping us to book a car for our day trip around Erhai Lake at a reasonable cost. Even after our stay, they helped us to charter a car to Lijiang as well.
I highly recommend this homestay. The experience I had during my time here has left a very positive experience on our trip to Yunnan. The owners are very friendly and are willing to help you with any queries you have. I will make sure to recommend this homestay to my acquaintances and if I ever visit Dali in the future I would definitely book this homestay again!

UUsuario invitadoWe highly recommend this hotel. When we first arrived we were greeted by whom I presume to be the owner of the hotel. He helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room personally. Understanding that we know limited Chinese, he took the time to slowly show us the features of the room - including an automated voice command tool and a projector for watching movies. He also learned we have an early check out and spent time using WeChat to share places where we can find breakfast early in the morning. As for the hotel room itself, it's specious, modern, and well equipped. The facilities are modern and very well-kept. The location is perfect for us - it's a short 5 minute walk from the main tourist area of Dali Old Town - this means the area had more locals, quieter, and more authentic. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again next time we visit Dali.

UUsuario invitadoDespués de viajar por China durante más de un mes y alojarme en dormitorios y habitaciones privadas repartidas por las ciudades, este lugar fue increíble para instalarse y relajarse. No tengo coche, pero un taxi/Didi al casco antiguo de Dali fue bastante barato. Este alojamiento está justo al lado del lago y hay un agradable paseo hasta Xizhouzhen. También fueron muy amables al cocinarme comida para el desayuno y la cena, lo cual fue una grata sorpresa. Los dos propietarios son marido y mujer y son muy complacientes con cualquier necesidad o pregunta. Me sirvieron té en varias ocasiones e incluso me llevaron a Xizhouzhen en una ocasión. Los parques junto al lago también son divertidos. La habitación era espaciosa y cómoda. Incluso extendí mi tiempo aquí una noche más. Mi siguiente parada es Shaxizhen y también me ayudaron a conseguir transporte allí por un precio razonable.

YYuki Serene AngI had an extremely enjoyable stay at Mr Ma’s accommodation. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with genuine warmth and sincere hospitality. Throughout our stay, he assisted us with every need and often went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. We loved our time here so much that we extended our stay to a total of six nights!
We were deeply touched by his generosity and the thoughtfulness he showed every single day. Each morning, he checked in on us, asked if we had slept well, and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a family-run accommodation, and every member of the Ma family was friendly, warm, and welcoming. Mr Ma even took special care to accommodate my daughter’s cat allergy by keeping their cats away from the common areas — a gesture we truly appreciated.
One of the highlights of our stay was the meaningful conversations we shared with the family. We exchanged stories about our respective countries, shared insights about our cultures, and learned so much from one another. These heartfelt chats made our stay feel even more personal, and we genuinely enjoyed connecting on a deeper level beyond the usual host–guest interactions.
The room facilities were excellent — warm blankets, electric heating pads, newly installed air-conditioners, towels, a hair dryer, and a kettle. And every morning, we were greeted with a comforting bowl of noodles lovingly prepared by Mrs Ma — such a heartwarming way to start the day.
The location is ideal as well: close to the bustling streets and ancient town, with the mountains and lake just nearby. We enjoyed sitting on the top-floor balcony in the cool, crisp morning air, taking in the peaceful mountain views. Mrs Ma also shared wonderful food recommendations, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed.
During our stay, we met international travellers from France, and the Ma family communicated effortlessly using translation apps. It’s clear they have plenty of experience hosting guests from around the world. We also made a short trip to Lijiang, arranged through Mr Ma’s recommendation — a comfortable 9-seater car that picked us up directly from the accommodation and dropped us off at our next destination.
I highly, highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and warmth shown to us throughout our stay — right up until the moment we left, when Mr Ma personally helped us with our luggage.
Before you leave, be sure to take a photo with the family, and don’t miss the chance to chat with Mr Ma’s son, who is very eager to practise English with travellers.

房间的设施也非常优秀——温暖的毯子、电热毯、新安装的空调、毛巾、吹风机和热水壶一应俱全。每天早上，马太太都会为我们准备一碗热腾腾、充满心意的面，让我们在温暖中开始美好的一天。
地理位置也非常方便：靠近苍山,三月街 ,大里古城，耳海，周围就是山景与湖景。我们特别喜欢每天清晨坐在顶楼阳台，吹着清凉的晨风，欣赏宁静的山景。马太太还推荐了几家美食，我们都吃得非常满意。
在这里，我们还遇到了来自法国的旅客，马家人通过翻译软件和他们沟通毫无障碍，可见他们接待国际旅客的经验十分丰富。我们也根据马先生的推荐去了丽江——是宽敞舒适的九座车，从民宿直接接送，非常方便。
我真心、强烈地推荐这家民宿给前来旅行的朋友们。我非常感谢他们在我们整个旅程中给予的善意与温暖，甚至直到离开的那一刻，马先生仍亲自帮我们搬运行李。

UUsuario invitadoWe visited Dali for the first time from New York. Our kids were in a local summer camp for two weeks. We took the large three bedroom suite. It was a very comfortable stay - perfect for adults and children. The owners were very nice and sweet, especially with the kids. They would offer fruit from their garden sometimes.
The hotel had a nice stream and a pond with fish inside. The kids loved it. They would catch fish and eel with their nets over and over again. Also they have a friendly dog that the kids enjoyed playing with.
The hotel is 10 minutes away from Dali village. They had some scooters that we used from time to time to travel around, which made everything more convenient.
If we come to Dali again we would stay in this hotel.

UUsuario invitadoUn pequeño patio muy nuevo y hermoso. Ubicado en la calle Yeyu, la calle con más restaurantes de la ciudad antigua, es tranquilo en medio del bullicio, y es muy tranquilo para dormir por la noche.
El pequeño patio no solo es tranquilo, sino también muy hermoso. Hay una mecedora que encanta a los niños.
La habitación con tatami en la que nos alojamos es ideal para familias con niños. No solo la cama es grande, sino que hay una tabla de madera que las une para que los niños no se caigan al suelo. El baño es muy grande, con separación entre seco y húmedo, y el agua de la bañera es caliente y abundante. Es realmente genial y muy recomendable.
El precio de este hotel es realmente muy bajo. Comprobé los precios de varios B&B de los alrededores. Todos cuestan quinientos o seiscientos yuanes en temporada baja, pero este cuesta menos de cien yuanes. Por este precio, el ambiente no tiene nada que envidiar a los de los alrededores.
Me alojé dos noches. Como salimos temprano y volvimos tarde, no vimos al dueño de la tienda ni a los demás huéspedes, al igual que este pequeño patio que habíamos reservado.
Recomiendo mucho esta casa. Si no lo creen, vengan a verla.

UUsuario invitadoWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages.
However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang.
After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is just 3 km from Dali Railway Station.If you are using the train,this hotel is one of the best options. I booked a room facing the lake. The view is awesome. There is a lift. The room and toilet are clean. There are basic amenities like body shower, toothbrush,hair shampoo,comb, mineral water,kettle and tv provided.
I get free breakfast. They serve plain porridge with condiments, boiled egg,steam corn and sweet potatoes,bread and buns,fresh fruits and warm soy milk.The food is yummy and delicious.
Didi is available all the time and easy to assess from the hotel.You may also be greeted by fresh fruit sellers outside the hotel.We do buy some fresh grapes.
The hotel reception Ms Xiao Yang is very friendly and helpful.She helped to book Didi to Muslim restaurant for us.We also asked her for help to order a packed lunch because it was raining and we couldn't get out. Despite her work shift ending,she still waited for us to make sure we were safely back to the railway station. I hope her boss will recognise the hospitality she showed.
I recommend this hotel to tourists. You will not hear the noise outside the hotel during your stay.
Hopefully the management can put the hotel name signboard in english so it is easier for tourists to book Didi. Overall I was satisfied with the room and the warm hospitality the hotel provides.

YYouranzide3116El jefe era muy amable. Como mi equipaje era pesado, me preguntó por mi ubicación sin decir nada y vino a recogerme con el personal. Uno para el equipaje y otro para los pasajeros, ¡muy cálido y atento! Este servicio básicamente no está disponible en otros albergues juveniles de Dali. Por ejemplo, más tarde conocí a Yici por casualidad.
La habitación estaba limpia y ordenada, y se proporcionaban mantas eléctricas, por lo que no hacía frío para dormir por la noche. El baño también tiene mucha agua, el agua caliente es muy caliente y el dueño de la tienda explicó todo claramente. ¡El jefe es una persona muy amable! ¡Él dice lo que piensa y es muy generoso! La gente del noreste es agradable.
La tienda está decorada en estilo antiguo y dispone de cocina para que puedas cocinar algo de vez en cuando. Pero en Yici dijeron que proporcionaban una cocina, pero si querías usarla tenías que pagar 10 yuanes.

Pero ahora es temporada baja y soy el único en esta habitación para cuatro personas. ¿A la tienda no le importa? Ya sabes, otros lugares están básicamente llenos. Espero que el gran jefe pueda hablar con sus socios y ampliar la escala.
No es necesario decir cosas como esta, los clientes también pueden transferir la tarifa de la habitación directamente en WeChat.
