We stayed for one night at the Garden Panorama Suite with Soaking Tub at Dali Yunying Chunxiao Shuiyuan Scenic Hotel. This is a small boutique hotel, and while there are some things worth improving, the views and overall atmosphere were truly memorable. The first thing that struck us when we arrived was the view of Erhai Lake. It was absolutely exquisite and looked almost exactly like the photos online. Every corner of the hotel was incredibly photogenic, and the whole place had a very calm, peaceful and almost surreal atmosphere. The hotel itself is quite small, with a compact lobby that also serves as the breakfast area, but the incredible lake view more than made up for the limited space. The hotel is located along a cobbled street with no direct car access. The hotel contacted us beforehand to ask about our arrival time, which was appreciated, and their staff met us to collect our luggage and transported it to the hotel by motorbike. However, we initially thought someone would escort or pick us up, but instead we were given a location to follow on foot. The route was a little confusing and we got slightly lost, particularly because the final stretch goes through a very quiet back street that doesn’t really look like it leads to a hotel. It was also raining when we arrived and when we left, so we really appreciated that the hotel lent us umbrellas. The location itself is convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. However, one important point for future guests is that the streets leading back to the hotel are completely dark at night, with no street lights at all. We found this quite scary and felt it could be unsafe, especially for families with young children or anyone returning after dark. Our room had a beautiful view of Erhai Lake, but unfortunately the upkeep and cleanliness did not quite match what we expected for the price. There were quite a few dead fish and pieces of rubbish visible around the water when looking over the ledge, both from our room and from the lobby area. The balcony also had a hammock, but it did not look particularly safe to use, and there were plants growing out from the lake and into the hammock area. The room itself was also relatively small for the price, and the cleanliness could have been better. That said, there were some really lovely inclusions with our room, including afternoon tea, a photoshoot, goodnight dessert and breakfast. Breakfast was not buffet-style, but we were given a choice of mains along with some sides and a drink. The portions were on the smaller side, but everything we had was good. The photoshoot was a particularly nice touch and something we really appreciated. Three photos were included with our stay, and we actually enjoyed the experience enough to purchase additional photos beyond the included three. It was a lovely way to capture our time in Dali. We were also celebrating our child’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel went above and beyond by preparing a very cute birthday cake for him. It was such a thoughtful gesture and genuinely made the stay more special❤️ Overall, this hotel has an incredibly beautiful setting and a very unique atmosphere. The views are genuinely stunning and the photography opportunities are fantastic. The thoughtful extras, especially the photoshoot and birthday cake, were also highlights of our stay. However, for the price, we felt the room upkeep, cleanliness and accessibility could be improved, and the completely unlit walk back to the hotel at night is something future guests should be aware of. If the hotel were to improve the maintenance and cleanliness while addressing the nighttime access issue, it could be an exceptional boutique stay because the location and views are truly special.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Dali. Its location is one of its biggest advantages, as it is within walking distance of Dali Ancient Town. We could easily explore the lively streets filled with shops, restaurants, and local attractions, especially in the evenings when the area comes alive with activity. For Muslim travelers, the location is even more convenient. A Muslim street is only about 1.5 km away, making it easy to find halal restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets. What truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding hospitality from the owner and staff. Before our arrival, we shared our train details with the hotel, and they arranged a complimentary pick-up from Dali Railway Station. As soon as we exited the station, someone was already waiting for us and immediately escorted us to the car, making our arrival completely hassle-free. The owner went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay. On one occasion, we were unable to get a Didi ride, and the owner kindly drove us to our destination free of charge. This level of service is rare and greatly appreciated. The hotel itself is beautiful and very photogenic, with stunning views that are perfect for photos. The rooms are spacious, clean, and appear to be newly renovated. There is also a laundry and drying area on the top floor, where guests can enjoy fantastic views while doing their laundry. Our children especially loved the hotel's charming interior, friendly cat, and small fish pond. These little touches made the property feel warm and welcoming. The hotel is only three stories high, so there is no elevator, but this was not a major issue for us. The staff were always ready to assist whenever needed. Another thing we appreciated was how accommodating the hotel was. They provided almost everything we requested, including an iron, transportation arrangements, and even umbrellas when it rained during our first day. They also offer train railway station transfers at a very reasonable price. Overall, while the location, rooms, and facilities were excellent, it was the owner's kindness, generosity, and genuine care for guests that made our stay truly memorable. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dali.

El hotel está muy bien situado, y ofrece una buena variedad de habitaciones. La habitación era agradable, amar el lugar de fuego junto al baño. 20 minutos en coche a la antigua ciudad, pero siempre es fácil conseguir un camión! Recomendamos muy bien este lugar, los huéspedes rly hizo que la estancia fuera mucho más agradable.

My wife and I are Americans and travel full time. This means we are usually in a new place every couple weeks. We spent 10 days at Milin and I cannot speak more highly of it. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and shown to our room. It was spacious, clean, and had many amenities I wouldn't expect for this price point. There were slippers for us, robes for our use, two washing machines and a dryer for our use as well as detergent. The view from the roof was fantastic seeing the beautiful Cangshan mountains with misty clouds rolling over them and a view of the three pagodas in the distance. The location is surpurb. You are close enough to Dali Ancient Town where you can walk to a huge variety of restaurants without the need of a Didi (Uber or Grab here). But you are also within meters of the main road from which you can summon a Didi to take you wherever you want. Each evening we were provided a delicious custom coffee or tea by our homestay host along with cake. The in room controls were surpurb with a 110 inch projector screen, remotes for everything included heated floors. Everything was controlled by a smart device (like an Alexa). The only funny thing is that the smart device only speaks Mandarin and I definitely do not 🤣. The attempt to get Google Gemini to translate merely resulted in my two phones and the device speaking in Chinese and me having no idea what was happening. But even without the smart device, I was able to project my phone and laptop to the screen. Beyond the room quality and other perks like cake, the homestay family was fantastic. It is a husband and wife team with the father helping and an adorable son. During our stay we needed a prescription refilled and as I mentioned, we don't speak Chinese. They helped us navigate the process and within a day the medication was delivered. We also purchased an antique mask at a shop and they helped us navigate shipping back to the states. I cannot think of another place we have stayed with this kind of service and hospitality. As a westerner I felt so at home here for our 10 nights in Dali and would highly recommend Milin Hotel to anyone else looking to stay near Dali Ancient Town!

LOCATION : If you are looking at strictly to relax and chill, this is defnitely a great place. Lake view with the setting sun on crystal water. I DiDi ride to Shuanglang ancient town on the north-eastern or the Dali ancient city on the Southern west is only 40-60min. Or book a red double decker bus that brings you around the lake district. Plenty of eateries and if peppercorns are too much for this trip, check out the Miss Lan - subtle chinese dishes with less peppercorns. I did a lot of walking from the hotel down through the village and along the coastal line to great cafes. It should be divine when Spring or Autumn kicks in. Definitely non over-commercialised, quintessential little Wenbi town FACILITY & CONDITION : The building is so well maintained, pristine and clean. Everything within the room is Smart-led. Towels and linens are cleaned. Housekeepers come in each morning & had the room immaculately cleaned. BUTLER SERVICE : I have to call out Kudos to these young and efficient staffs. I had ”Gary” -an absolutely detail, spontaneous and efficient young gentleman - with all my demands and questions. I was very well-taken care of and they are just as capable and passionate as any hospitality team in big city or Macau. Similarly, the young co-owner ”Steven” was all hands-on to serving Breakfast and of cause my Double shots at 1030am! You didnt have to ask anything on the second day- as they already knew your preference! Now, that's service! WINES & BEVERAGE : Not much selection in Yunnan or Dali, if you only preferred ”fermented grapes” aka white red wines. So do stock up if you drink as much as my ”Sharky” best friend! However, minibar soft drinks and plenty of mineral water are available at all time Will I return to Dali WEIAN ? Its definitely a YES! .....not the greatest looking building but as a hotelier, it has definitely met my expectations - Service, Cleanliness & Condition... & I had rested well!

1. La zona de facturación, es decir, la recepción, estaba bastante deteriorada; el teclado del ordenador estaba prácticamente desgastado. El sofá de al lado era aún peor, con un aspecto muy antihigiénico. 2. Comidas: La zona de desayuno era estrecha, solo cuatro mesas pequeñas en la calle. Si viajan en grupos de más de dos personas, tendrán que sentarse separados o quizás esperar de pie. Sin embargo, el café estaba bueno. Solo desayuné una vez: una ensalada fría de quinoa (ver foto 6), servida con un pan con un sabor a crema. Tenía ganas de comer fideos de arroz al día siguiente, pero era demasiado tarde: ¡no empezaron a servir hasta las 8:30! Tenía mucha hambre. Los madrugadores y quienes prefieren la comida caliente deberían pensarlo bien y buscar otros planes. 3. Habitación en el segundo piso - Problema de ruido: No esperen dormir por la noche. Incluso después de las 23:00, todavía se oía ruido en la calle, además del traqueteo de los camiones de basura (¡un consejo: no cometan la insensatez de quedarse en el casco antiguo!). Al día siguiente, llovió a cántaros antes del amanecer, y el sonido de la lluvia me impidió dormir. 4. Habitación - Problema con las instalaciones: La habitación en la que me alojé era supuestamente la más tranquila de todo el hotel, con una bañera grande y una zona de ducha y aseo separada. Incapaz de aceptar la falta de una ducha separada, planeé ducharme en la bañera, solo para descubrir dos problemas: 1. El cristal era completamente transparente, sin cortinas ni cristal esmerilado; el personal dijo que era parte del ”diseño”; 2. La bañera no salía agua, jaja 😄 5. Habitación - Problema con el olor: Había un olor a humedad nada más entrar. El personal dijo que era por la ”madera sin tratar”, ¡y seguía oliendo después de 8 años! Muy gracioso. 6. Personal: Antes incluso de registrarme, me pidieron que cancelara a través de la plataforma, pagara la habitación por separado y me ofrecieron un precio con descuento. Hay pruebas escritas de ello; es un campo minado, ¿verdad? ¡Se atrevieron a mencionarlo! 7. Personal: Todo el personal era amable, pero no esperaba que el personal de Jixia Mountain fuera tan joven. No llevaban uniforme ni supervisores, y parecían muy descuidados e informales. 8. Servicio de limpieza: Quedé bastante satisfecho. Ver las mantas y las toallas me tranquilizó. Las almohadas también eran bastante buenas. Las instalaciones del hotel son muy antiguas. Incluso después de limpiar los azulejos del baño, seguían luciendo ruinosos, además de la tenue luz del baño. Así que creo que el servicio de limpieza aquí es realmente duro. 9. Estructura del edificio: Por la mañana, llovía a cántaros. Cuando abrí la puerta en el segundo piso, el agua me llegaba prácticamente a los talones. Es bastante sorprendente que no inundara la habitación. Por la noche, no había luz, así que me costó encontrar el camino de vuelta a la habitación en la oscuridad del pasillo. Es bastante difícil para alguien que no recuerda las indicaciones (ver imágenes 1-2). 10. Instalaciones del hotel: Anoche, oí al huésped de al lado volver porque no podía abrir la habitación con la llave. Tuvo que llamar a un miembro del personal para pedir ayuda. Estaban hablando en inglés fuera de la puerta, y el miembro del personal finalmente le dio un truco al huésped: ”La llave tiene que ser xxx, esta cerradura tiene que ser xxx...”. ¡Es demasiado problema! ¡Incluso volver a la habitación requiere un truco! 11. Detalles suaves: Un enorme trozo de cuero colgaba de la llave, sin ninguna consideración hacia los viajeros con poco espacio para el equipaje después de largos viajes. ¿Quién lleva un bulto tan grande? Tenía grandes expectativas sobre la línea de productos Jixiashan. Me enteré de su colaboración con Kolon en la sucursal de Meili en Shangri-La, y pensé que sería bastante elegante. Esta sucursal del casco antiguo de Dali fue la primera, pero resultó tener este nivel de calidad. Dado el precio diario promedio, entiendo por qué. Esta tienda no se encuentra en el miniprograma de Jixiashan; está categorizada como ”Wang Shenme Chuan Qu Qu”.

El personal fue muy atento y respondió a todas nuestras preguntas, lo que nos ayudó a evitar muchos inconvenientes. La posada está muy cerca de la ciudad antigua, a solo 3 o 4 minutos a pie, lo que hace que sea muy conveniente para ir a cualquier parte. La habitación era muy acogedora y limpia. Los artículos de tocador parecían ser de Shiseido, no de esos champús y geles de ducha de mala calidad. En general, nuestra estancia fue muy satisfactoria.

Beautiful area right by the lake. Yes, a disadvantage being remote from the city areas (not walkable), but if you want to enjoy the serenity of waking up right by the lake, this is a great choice! I loved how our first-floor room had a view of the lake - very close by! Also, you can see the sunrise from this side of the lake! Very peaceful in the mornings. We coordinated with the guesthouse via Wechat beforehand, and they even helped arrange a complimentary pickup with a driver from the train station (since we were staying 3 nights). Later, we also arranged a full day with the driver to drive down Haidong (east side) from Shuanglang ancient town and southward, which was worth it, since otherwise it'd be hard to get to those locations. Cars cannot come to the guesthouse area, so the guesthouse drove a little cart to pick us and our luggage up; they also helped us when we departed. Didi from this area (from a spot ~100-200m away) takes a bit of time for the drivers to come in, but not too long. The breakfast was lightly spicy mi xian noodles, served by some aunties, with condiments like pickled vegetables, also corn, hard-boiled eggs, and banana available. I would also recommend taking time to bike along the lake - it seems there's an option to rent one for 20RMB somewhere but I couldn't find the location. A more convenient option (good for shorter bike rides) are the many shared bikes that can be scanned along the lake. If you go northward by foot or bike along the lake, there are many other guesthouses and nice cafes (including some very popular, picture-perfect wang hong cafes), along with some green fields that are nice to check out. Behind the guesthouse is a small village area; we walked here and got a late lunch on one of the days, but there doesn't seem to be as many options. Traveled here with my mom, and we were quite satisfied. I feel that relaxing inside the hotel and nearby is already pretty nice. Great stay with helpful staff!

Una experiencia de 10 estrellas Desde el momento en que llegué, me saludaron calorosamente las dos hermanas de Mo y sus adorables compañeros de felina, Pirate (el gato negro) y Sweet Dent (el marrón). Todo sobre esta estadía, desde la ubicación y decoración hasta la limpieza y servicio impresionantes, merece 10 estrellas. Algunos puntos destacados: Detalles pensables: Las camas están equipadas con pads de calefacción para noches más frías, que fue un buen toque. Amenidades: Me encantaba absolutamente el patio tranquilo y el techo. Servicio: Son muy atentos; por ejemplo, si necesitas luzes de lectura más brillantes, sólo tienes que preguntar. El aire: El jardín se cuida de la vibración y se añade tanto a la vibración. Incluso como amante de perro dedicado, tengo que admitir que Pirate y Sweet Dent me ganó completamente.
