Oriental aesthetics in every corner The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. En Dali, ¡por fin me instalé en la casa de mis sueños! ¡Una recomendación perfecta de 10/10 para esta casa de huéspedes! Esta es sin duda la casa de huéspedes más acogedora en la que me he alojado; ¡es un destino perfecto en sí misma! Desde la llegada hasta la salida, cada día transcurrió con una cálida atención. La casa de huéspedes, dirigida por un veterano, me transmitió una enorme sensación de seguridad. Lo que más valoro de esta casa de huéspedes es su ritmo de vida relajado. Por las tardes, podía disfrutar de un té y leer en el soleado patio, o contemplar las montañas Cangshan y el lago Erhai desde la terraza de la azotea, sin hacer nada más que soñar despierto. El cuidado diseño de las zonas comunes se hace patente en todas partes; cada rincón es perfecto para tomar fotos. Si buscas algo más que una cama, un espacio cálido para relajarte, disfrutar de hermosos paisajes y conectar con amigos, ¡este es tu lugar!

This was my second stay at the hotel, and once again I had a very good experience. The staff were polite, friendly, and attentive throughout my stay. Check-in was fast and efficient, making the arrival process smooth and hassle-free. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a good selection of local dishes. Overall, the service and hospitality were excellent, and I would be happy to stay here again in the future.

La experiencia en AnYu fue perfecta. El hotel está ubicado en la ciudad antigua. Los taxis y Uber pueden aparcar justo delante de la entrada, a diferencia de otros hoteles de la ciudad antigua donde hay que caminar desde la calle principal, lo cual es increíblemente práctico. La decoración de estilo Nanyang es retro y exquisita. Cada mueble y elemento decorativo está elegido con mucho gusto, ¡incluso la caja del extintor! El ambiente es excelente y el sistema de música BOSE está presente en todo el edificio. Secador de pelo Dyson, diferentes tipos de cables de carga en la mesita auxiliar... cada detalle refleja la atención al detalle. Desde el exquisito té de la tarde y el tentempié nocturno (caldo de setas blancas o leche caliente) hasta el desayuno de alta cocina, cada detalle está cuidado a la perfección y todo es gratuito. Muchas gracias al personal, que cumple con los estándares de un hotel internacional de 5 estrellas o más. Su hermosa sonrisa te hace sentir como en casa, ¡y sin duda preparan el mejor café de Dali!

El lugar más satisfactorio para alojarse cuando viaja a Yunnan. La casera es una persona muy agradable. Básicamente ella puede resolver cualquier problema que tengas, así que no tendrás que preocuparte por ser estafado. La habitación estaba muy limpia y afuera, a través de la ventana que iba del suelo al techo, se veía el lago Erhai, como si fuera una pintura. Cada mañana, cuando miraba hacia afuera, mi estado de ánimo mejoraba durante todo el día. Aquí está la imagen original. Soy demasiado perezoso para editarlo. Será más impactante cuando lo veas con tus propios ojos.

El hotel está situado en un pequeño callejón no muy lejos del casco antiguo de Dali, se puede llegar directamente en taxi, lo cual es muy conveniente. El ambiente es perfecto para los viajeros que disfrutan de la naturaleza y buscan relajarse. El patio tiene muchas plantas y un estanque, ideal para tomar fotos. El día que llegamos llovió y nos proporcionaron una secadora para deshumidificar. Nuestra habitación estaba en la parte trasera, así que no tuvimos que preocuparnos por el ruido de la calle por la noche. La habitación también tenía un pequeño balcón donde podíamos sentarnos y disfrutar de un tiempo de ocio, y una zona tipo tatami para tomar té, aunque no tuvimos tiempo de usarla debido a nuestro itinerario 🤭. El desayuno que ofrecía el hotel me encantó, nutritivo y saludable, y el té de pomelo estaba delicioso. El personal del hotel, tanto los chicos como las chicas, era muy amable y cordial. En general, ¡quedé muy satisfecho! 👍

A 10 star experience From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the two Mo sisters and their adorable feline companions, Pirate (the black cat) and Sweet Tooth (the brown one). Everything about this stay—from the location and decor to the impeccable cleanliness and service—deserves 10 stars. The Mo sisters are incredibly friendly, chatty, and helpful, making the entire place feel like a beautifully maintained, quaint home. A few highlights: Thoughtful Details: The beds come equipped with heating pads for colder nights, which was such a nice touch. Amenities: I absolutely loved the peaceful courtyard and the rooftop area. Service: They are very attentive; for instance, if you need brighter reading lights, you just have to ask. The Atmosphere: The garden is lovingly cared for and adds so much to the vibe. Even as a dedicated dog lover, I have to admit that Pirate and Sweet Tooth completely won me over. If you are looking for a stay with character and heart, this is it!

La pequeña ventana da al acuario, y tuvimos la suerte de estar en el tercer piso, donde veíamos con frecuencia bancos de peces y tortugas marinas. ¡Los niños estaban súper emocionados! Como nos alojamos durante el Festival del Medio Otoño, el mayordomo nos informó con antelación sobre un evento del Festival del Medio Otoño en el vestíbulo con regalos. Lamentablemente, teníamos la agenda apretada y no regresamos del casco antiguo de Dali hasta después de las 23:00, perdiéndonos el evento. Las dos recepcionistas nos esperaron para registrarnos e incluso nos ayudaron a subir el equipaje a nuestra habitación en la tercera planta. ¡Un servicio excelente! Lo que es aún más sorprendente es la amplia variedad de bebidas del minibar, que incluyen café, leche Want Want, cola, Sprite y té helado, todo gratis. This hotel is honestly so photogenic, perfect for Instagram :)) There are flowers everywhere and the whole place has a very calm, chill vibe. Their service was really impressive. They contacted us one day before our stay and even arranged a driver to pick us up from Dali train station, which made everything super easy. The butlers were also very helpful, always quick to respond and attentive to anything we needed. They even gave us a free ride to our next hotel, which was such a nice extra touch. On top of that, they gifted me a cute elephant keychain for good fortune, so thoughtful and memorable. The location is great too, very convenient to get around.
