With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. En Dali, ¡por fin me instalé en la casa de mis sueños! ¡Una recomendación perfecta de 10/10 para esta casa de huéspedes! Esta es sin duda la casa de huéspedes más acogedora en la que me he alojado; ¡es un destino perfecto en sí misma! Desde la llegada hasta la salida, cada día transcurrió con una cálida atención. La casa de huéspedes, dirigida por un veterano, me transmitió una enorme sensación de seguridad. Lo que más valoro de esta casa de huéspedes es su ritmo de vida relajado. Por las tardes, podía disfrutar de un té y leer en el soleado patio, o contemplar las montañas Cangshan y el lago Erhai desde la terraza de la azotea, sin hacer nada más que soñar despierto. El cuidado diseño de las zonas comunes se hace patente en todas partes; cada rincón es perfecto para tomar fotos. Si buscas algo más que una cama, un espacio cálido para relajarte, disfrutar de hermosos paisajes y conectar con amigos, ¡este es tu lugar!

We had a great stay at Country Inn by Radisson in Dali and would happily stay here again. It offers excellent value for money, very friendly service, and clean, comfortable rooms in a convenient location. Location: The hotel is around a 10-minute Didi ride from Dali Ancient City, the Three Pagodas, and the Old Tea Horse Trail and 15min ride to Longkan Pier, making it easy to explore the main attractions on the West side. There are also plenty of convenient shared rental scooters available outside each morning, and taxis arrive quickly. Room & Cleanliness: Before arriving, we requested a non-smoking room. Our original room was still undergoing a smoke removal treatment, so the staff kindly upgraded us to one of their ”Pure Stay” rooms on the second floor. It was also much quieter, which was appreciated as I needed to work during our stay. The room was clean, spacious, had no smoke smell at all and even had an air purifying system. The hotel feels very new and is well maintained all lights and curtains in the room can be controlled with smart panels. The bed was soft and comfortable, with thick, good-quality duvets that made for a great night's sleep. The air conditioning was excellent and a welcome relief from the summer heat, keeping the room cool and comfortable throughout our stay. The bathroom was equally clean, with an automatic flushing toilet featuring a built-in UV sanitiser as part of the Pure Stay room. The shower had excellent water pressure, and as someone with very long, thick hair, I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the shampoo and conditioners. Service The service was one of the highlights of our stay. The front desk staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and eager to help. A special thank you to the two gentlemen at reception who went above and beyond to communicate with us, organise the room upgrade, and even print several work documents for me free of charge. We were also welcomed with a small gift at check-in, which was a thoughtful touch. Facilities: The hotel has a lovely garden with several attractive spots for holiday photos. There is a convenient 24-hour tea and coffee station in the lobby, as well as a large power bank rental station before heading out for the day. The only small suggestion would be to also provide coffee sachets in the guest rooms for added convenience. The complimentary WiFi is an open network, which is a bit risky. It was a little slow for heavier work tasks but was perfectly adequate for normal browsing and everyday use. Breakfast: Breakfast was the only area that did not quite match the rest of our experience. There was a reasonable selection, but we found it fairly basic, particularly for international travellers, and chose to have breakfast elsewhere on our second morning. Overall: This hotel offers excellent value, outstanding cleanliness, genuinely helpful staff, and a convenient location for exploring Dali. If you are looking for a comfortable, modern hotel with friendly service, I would happily recommend staying here.

El lugar más satisfactorio para alojarse cuando viaja a Yunnan. La casera es una persona muy agradable. Básicamente ella puede resolver cualquier problema que tengas, así que no tendrás que preocuparte por ser estafado. La habitación estaba muy limpia y afuera, a través de la ventana que iba del suelo al techo, se veía el lago Erhai, como si fuera una pintura. Cada mañana, cuando miraba hacia afuera, mi estado de ánimo mejoraba durante todo el día. Aquí está la imagen original. Soy demasiado perezoso para editarlo. Será más impactante cuando lo veas con tus propios ojos.

The highlight of this hotel is the breathtaking view from the room. The hotel ambience feels homey and comfortable. I rarely write reviews for my trips, but this hotel truly won my heart with its welcoming service and friendly receptionists. What surprised me the most was the hotel driver, Mr. Mars, who offered to take us to Dali Railway Station free of charge. As we needed to catch our train, he did his very best to get us there as quickly as possible. What an amazing and unforgettable service! Thank you, Mr. Mars..you truly made our day with your warm and thoughtful service.

A 10 star experience From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the two Mo sisters and their adorable feline companions, Pirate (the black cat) and Sweet Tooth (the brown one). Everything about this stay—from the location and decor to the impeccable cleanliness and service—deserves 10 stars. The Mo sisters are incredibly friendly, chatty, and helpful, making the entire place feel like a beautifully maintained, quaint home. A few highlights: Thoughtful Details: The beds come equipped with heating pads for colder nights, which was such a nice touch. Amenities: I absolutely loved the peaceful courtyard and the rooftop area. Service: They are very attentive; for instance, if you need brighter reading lights, you just have to ask. The Atmosphere: The garden is lovingly cared for and adds so much to the vibe. Even as a dedicated dog lover, I have to admit that Pirate and Sweet Tooth completely won me over. If you are looking for a stay with character and heart, this is it!

Desde el check-in hasta el check-out, cada detalle hace sentir la atención y la calidad. 1️⃣ La vista al mar es excelente, y el paisaje curativo te permite sentarte en el patio y disfrutar de las nubes flotantes en la montaña Cangshan y el resplandeciente lago. Especialmente al atardecer, el resplandor del atardecer llena la sala, y cada foto que tomas es un éxito rotundo. Es tranquilo y cómodo sin necesidad de ir a otros lugares donde se aglomeran. 2️⃣ El servicio del mayordomo es tan considerado que resulta repugnante. ¡El servicio de los mayordomos Qiufeng y Yangyang merece ser alabado por su nombre! Desde sugerencias de planificación de itinerario antes de llegar a la tienda, hasta recordatorios diarios de los horarios de apertura de las atracciones e incluso ayuda con la fotografía de viajes y las reservas de restaurantes, no tiene que preocuparse por nada. 3️⃣ El desayuno es tan rico que no querrás levantarte. ¡Hay muchísimos tipos de desayuno! Fideos de arroz chinos, huevos fritos y tocino al estilo occidental, frutas frescas y café recién molido están disponibles hasta las 10:30. La fiesta perezosa está extasiado. Recomiendo especialmente los fideos de arroz con puente cruzado al estilo Yunnan, ¡la base de la sopa es tan deliciosa que puedes beber dos tazones seguidos! 4️⃣ Instalaciones de apoyo orientadas a los detalles El té de la tarde y la sopa dulce de buenas noches se entregan a tiempo todos los días, y las bebidas en el refrigerador son gratuitas el día del check-in. 5️⃣ Huevo de Pascua oculto: ¡Las galletas hechas a mano son divinas! Las galletas que me dieron al momento del check-in eran tan cremosas y fragantes que compré una bolsa grande de ellas como recuerdo antes de irme. El mayordomo incluso metió a escondidas un paquete extra en mi maleta, diciendo que era un ”regalo para el viaje”. Este lugar no parece un hotel, sino más bien un mayordomo de vacaciones que te comprende. Ya sea que estés recostado para mirar el mar, tomando fotografías y registrándote, o recorriendo Dali en profundidad, Yanyun puede brindarte una experiencia perfecta. La próxima vez seguro que me quedaré unos días más!

Como nos alojamos durante el Festival del Medio Otoño, el mayordomo nos informó con antelación sobre un evento del Festival del Medio Otoño en el vestíbulo con regalos. Lamentablemente, teníamos la agenda apretada y no regresamos del casco antiguo de Dali hasta después de las 23:00, perdiéndonos el evento. Las dos recepcionistas nos esperaron para registrarnos e incluso nos ayudaron a subir el equipaje a nuestra habitación en la tercera planta. ¡Un servicio excelente! Lo que es aún más sorprendente es la amplia variedad de bebidas del minibar, que incluyen café, leche Want Want, cola, Sprite y té helado, todo gratis.
