El hotel de la ciudad de Zhao es un hotel de 4 estrellas con una habitación con un baño privado y una terraza con un baño privado. El Sr. Zhao nos ayudó a planear dónde visitar y hacer un hermoso desayuno de novillo junto con picles de casa que eran deliciosos. La cama era muy cómoda. Es como un padre amable, nos dijo que nos quedamos a salvo y nos mostraba alrededor. Sólo consideración es que es bastante un largo taxi desde un pequeño delfin a la antigua ciudad de Dali al otro lado del lago erhai, pero Didi es fácil de usar y poco costoso por las normas británicas (aproximadamente 8 libras por hora de viaje) ☺️

Mutian Time Designer Guesthouse, Dali | A poetic stay in a century-old Bai courtyard We’ve just returned from Dali, and the place we keep thinking about most is this hidden gem at the foot of Cangshan Mountain — Mutian Time Designer Guesthouse. Oriental aesthetics in every corner The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. 寶藏民宿，工作人員服務熱忱周到，特別感謝退房的時候趙萬蝶小姐姐和楊凌志小哥哥兩個人幫我們搬三件超負荷的行李退房，入住的晚上我們臨時要求看篝火，工作人員非常貼心的幫我們準備，親子入住體驗極佳。地理位置優越，來回夏令營很方便，環境衞生乾淨，遇事處理高效，出行住着踏實，強烈推薦。

Reservé este lugar al azar y me llevé una grata sorpresa. Como nos alojábamos en el último piso, el techo tenía un panel que se podía abrir a distancia con un botón en la pared. La cortina también se controlaba a distancia y el baño contaba con un bidé eléctrico. Además de una piscina, el hotel tenía un onsen que no utilicé porque hacía mucho calor los días que estuve allí. También había lavadoras y secadoras de uso gratuito, incluyendo detergente gratis. El hotel estaba muy bien decorado con hermosas flores y se podía contemplar la puesta de sol en dirección a Cangshan. Todo el personal fue muy amable y los de recepción nos ayudaron con las diversas preguntas que teníamos. El hotel está a una calle del casco antiguo de Dali. Hay restaurantes cerca, tanto dentro como fuera del casco antiguo, así como tiendas de conveniencia. La zona también está a poca distancia a pie de la calle Sanyue.

Las instalaciones de la casa de huéspedes son excelentes, ¡con un práctico baño incorporado! El propietario proporcionó mascarillas y hay una ducha y un aseo separados. ¡También dispone de aire acondicionado, mantas eléctricas y abundante agua caliente! La ubicación es fantástica; al abrir la puerta del patio, uno se siente como si se desconectara del mundo exterior al instante. El diseño del patio es ingenioso; ya sea disfrutando de una taza de café en la terraza viendo amanecer por la mañana o preparando té bajo las estrellas por la noche, se percibe el cariño y la dedicación del propietario hacia este lugar.

Our stay at the hotel was a mix of positive experiences and significant disappointments. Let me start with the highlights, which were undoubtedly the service and the food. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and prompt to respond to any requests we made. Their welcoming attitude was commendable. We also enjoyed the meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was nice. However, we faced several critical issues with our room that severely impacted our comfort and rest. Firstly, the room description was misleading. It explicitly mentioned access to a private hot spring, which was a key factor in our booking decision. To our disappointment, there was no hot spring facility available. The most significant problem was the air conditioning. The hotel uses a centralized A/C system. On the night of our stay, as the room was warm, we needed cooling. However, we were informed that because most of the guest had switched to heating mode, the A/C could not be turned on for our room. To make matters worse, no fan was provided as an alternative. We returned to the hotel quite late, and only realized the A/C issue around 1:30 AM. With the room being uncomfortably warm and stuffy, our only recourse was to leave the room door open for quite some time to cool it down. This was a major downside as it disrupted our much-needed rest time, especially since we had to wake up at 8:00 the next morning. This situation was highly inconvenient and frankly, unacceptable. In summary, while the service team and dining experience are great, the inaccuracies in the room description and the critical lack of climate control in the room make it difficult to recommend without reservation. We hope the management addresses these issues.

¡Fue una estancia fantástica! La ubicación es excelente, muy cerca de los lugares más pintorescos, lo que facilita mucho las visitas turísticas. La habitación estaba limpia e higiénica, la ropa de cama era nueva y la ventilación e iluminación eran buenas. El servicio fue excelente; incluso nos dieron consejos de viaje que nos evitaron muchos problemas. ¡Todos lo pasamos genial!

La estancia fue excelente. La atención y el esmero del mayordomo del hotel, He Wenxiang, nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Durante el Festival de Primavera, los taxis escaseaban en Dali, pero Yiyun nos ofreció servicio de recogida y traslado, incluso consiguiendo una furgoneta de siete plazas para llevarnos al aeropuerto, lo que nos tranquilizó. Yiyun también está cerca de varios lugares de interés turístico, y el hotel ofrece autobuses lanzadera gratuitos a estas zonas. El conserje del hotel fue increíblemente amable, ayudándonos inmediatamente con el equipaje a nuestra llegada y llevándolo a nuestra habitación después del registro de entrada: una auténtica experiencia de servicio al estilo de la selva tropical del sudeste asiático. La ubicación del hotel es excelente, tranquila y con vistas panorámicas, y es más fácil encontrar taxis que en el casco antiguo de Dali. Sus servicios de fotografía de viajes son excepcionalmente profesionales; mi familia quedó encantada y sin duda volveremos a alojarnos aquí.
