El hotel de la ciudad de Zhao es un hotel de 4 estrellas con una habitación con un baño privado y una terraza con un baño privado. El Sr. Zhao nos ayudó a planear dónde visitar y hacer un hermoso desayuno de novillo junto con picles de casa que eran deliciosos. La cama era muy cómoda. Es como un padre amable, nos dijo que nos quedamos a salvo y nos mostraba alrededor. Sólo consideración es que es bastante un largo taxi desde un pequeño delfin a la antigua ciudad de Dali al otro lado del lago erhai, pero Didi es fácil de usar y poco costoso por las normas británicas (aproximadamente 8 libras por hora de viaje) ☺️

At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. He estado en Dali varias veces, pero esta vez mi alojamiento fue una grata sorpresa. El hotel está situado en la montaña Erhai Tianyu, junto a la avenida Dali Binhai, a solo unos minutos a pie de la orilla del lago Erhai. Al abrir la ventana, se abre una vista panorámica de la resplandeciente montaña Cangshan y el lago Erhai, ¡cumpliendo así mi sueño de dormir junto al mar! El entorno es tranquilo, alejado del bullicio, pero con una ubicación ideal para ir al centro de la ciudad o al aeropuerto. El aparcamiento es amplio y gratuito, así que los conductores no tienen que preocuparse por aparcar, ¡un detalle muy considerado! Este hotel de diseño hace honor a su nombre: los ventanales de 270° de las habitaciones ofrecen impresionantes vistas de la montaña Cangshan y el lago Erhai. Los cálidos tonos blancos con toques de azul océano crean un ambiente moderno y zen. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y están equipadas con funciones de hogar inteligente, secador de pelo Dyson y altavoz Marshall. El ingenio del diseñador, la atención del mayordomo y la riqueza del lago Erhai se combinan a la perfección. Ya sea una luna de miel en pareja o un viaje familiar, encontrarán su propio refugio poético. ¡Muy recomendable! ¡Sin duda volveré!

Dos habitaciones perfectas en pleno centro del casco antiguo. Excelente ubicación, una bañera de hidromasaje increíble y un baño muy bien equipado. Cama muy cómoda y mucho espacio en todas partes. Tranquilo, ideal para descansar después de largos días de turismo. Terraza muy agradable para relajarse y tomar el sol. Y justo al otro lado del callejón hay una cafetería con el mejor americano que probamos en Dali. Por último, el personal fue muy amable y atento, especialmente Liu. Posibles mejoras: una televisión en la habitación principal sería ideal, y un poco más de variedad en el desayuno (comer lo mismo durante 7 días fue un poco aburrido). Espero volver a alojarme aquí algún día. ¡Gracias!

The highlight of this hotel is the breathtaking view from the room. The hotel ambience feels homey and comfortable. I rarely write reviews for my trips, but this hotel truly won my heart with its welcoming service and friendly receptionists. What surprised me the most was the hotel driver, Mr. Mars, who offered to take us to Dali Railway Station free of charge. As we needed to catch our train, he did his very best to get us there as quickly as possible. What an amazing and unforgettable service! Thank you, Mr. Mars..you truly made our day with your warm and thoughtful service.

Our stay at the hotel was a mix of positive experiences and significant disappointments. Let me start with the highlights, which were undoubtedly the service and the food. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and prompt to respond to any requests we made. Their welcoming attitude was commendable. We also enjoyed the meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was nice. However, we faced several critical issues with our room that severely impacted our comfort and rest. Firstly, the room description was misleading. It explicitly mentioned access to a private hot spring, which was a key factor in our booking decision. To our disappointment, there was no hot spring facility available. The most significant problem was the air conditioning. The hotel uses a centralized A/C system. On the night of our stay, as the room was warm, we needed cooling. However, we were informed that because most of the guest had switched to heating mode, the A/C could not be turned on for our room. To make matters worse, no fan was provided as an alternative. We returned to the hotel quite late, and only realized the A/C issue around 1:30 AM. With the room being uncomfortably warm and stuffy, our only recourse was to leave the room door open for quite some time to cool it down. This was a major downside as it disrupted our much-needed rest time, especially since we had to wake up at 8:00 the next morning. This situation was highly inconvenient and frankly, unacceptable. In summary, while the service team and dining experience are great, the inaccuracies in the room description and the critical lack of climate control in the room make it difficult to recommend without reservation. We hope the management addresses these issues.

Durante el Festival de Primavera, los taxis escaseaban en Dali, pero Yiyun nos ofreció servicio de recogida y traslado, incluso consiguiendo una furgoneta de siete plazas para llevarnos al aeropuerto, lo que nos tranquilizó. Yiyun también está cerca de varios lugares de interés turístico, y el hotel ofrece autobuses lanzadera gratuitos a estas zonas. El conserje del hotel fue increíblemente amable, ayudándonos inmediatamente con el equipaje a nuestra llegada y llevándolo a nuestra habitación después del registro de entrada: una auténtica experiencia de servicio al estilo de la selva tropical del sudeste asiático. La ubicación del hotel es excelente, tranquila y con vistas panorámicas, y es más fácil encontrar taxis que en el casco antiguo de Dali. Sus servicios de fotografía de viajes son excepcionalmente profesionales; mi familia quedó encantada y sin duda volveremos a alojarnos aquí.
