El lugar es simplemente impresionante: tan tranquilo, elegante y, en serio, ¡es el sueño de cualquier fotógrafo! No bromeo, ¡no pararás de sacar fotos! ¡Cada rincón es digno de Instagram! ¿He mencionado que es perfecto para sacar fotos? 😂 Y, por cierto, el dueño tiene un montón de vinos excelentes, el servicio es excelente, ¿y su café? ¡Madre mía, es alucinante! With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. We had a wonderful two-night stay at Dali Twelve Clouds Villa Seaview Hotel (Erhai Branch).😊 The view of the lake from our room was stunning, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the breakfast was very, very good — plenty of variety and really fresh. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and great value for money. A special mention goes to Zhang Feng, who truly made our stay outstanding. Even though we arrived late at night, he checked us in smoothly and went above and beyond to help us. We didn’t have access to the local food apps, but he kindly used his own to order food for us when we were hungry, making sure everything was taken care of. Throughout our stay, he was attentive, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed. His hospitality really stood out. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful scenery, comfortable rooms, and genuine hospitality. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and if you meet Zhang Feng, you’ll be in very good hands!😊

¡No tengo ninguna queja sobre este hotel! La ubicación es excelente, a poca distancia a pie de las Tres Pagodas (a 10 minutos a la izquierda) y también de la Puerta Norte del casco antiguo, girando a la derecha a 5-10 minutos en línea recta. Los jardines del hotel y el restaurante tienen vistas a las pagodas. Nuestra habitación era enorme, tranquila y tenía todo lo necesario. Además, contaba con detalles muy bonitos: tazas, vasos, cubiertos, todo muy elegante; servicio de preparación de la cama con leche. El desayuno era muy bueno, no muy abundante, pero tenía muchas especialidades locales y platos occidentales estándar. Sin embargo, probablemente uno de los mayores atractivos del hotel sea Kadi, el gerente general francés (especialmente si eres extranjero). Fue muy atento, nos dio mucha información y conocía muy bien la zona. Nos dio consejos estupendos para visitar los lugares de interés locales, la mejor manera de visitar las pagodas, dónde ir exactamente en el lago Erhai (no los sitios habituales) y nos sugirió lugares realmente buenos para comer; solo hay que seguir sus recomendaciones. Incluso consiguió que el chef nos preparara ensalada de pétalos de rosa para el desayuno, ya que los días que estuvimos allí no la ofrecían. El resto del personal también fue genial; aunque no hablaban inglés (excepto Kadi), todos respondieron rápidamente en WeChat. ¡Ojalá nos hubiéramos quedado más de dos días, Dali tiene mucho que ofrecer!

This is one of the best of the hotels I had in my 5 weeks here in China. The room & bathroom are spacious & very clean. My room overlooks the fish pond with a pavilion next to it. You can have your breakfast there in the morning. A simple & delicious breakfast given each morning. The inn is a 5 mins walk into the ancient city. The very best is the personal service that was given. Any requests are given with a smile. Will definitely recommend to friends and those looking for a good stay in Dali. Get the Inn to get you a driver for pick up at the train station. Cost ¥$60 one way which is about 40mins drive.

I had an absolutely satisfying stay at Hilton Dali Resort & Spa and highly recommend this property. Perched halfway up Cangshan Mountain, the hotel is conveniently situated near Jizhao Nunnery for Cangshan hiking trips, and Dali Ancient Town is a short affordable Didi ride away with abundant available cars, making transportation effortless. Our high-floor room offered stunning panoramic views of Erhai Lake from the private balcony. The room is exceptionally spacious with complete amenities; the bathroom is neatly designed with wet-dry separation. The daily breakfast buffet features an extensive selection of dishes covering diverse tastes. Special praise goes to lobby manager Herman. We encountered a small friction during pre-arrival communication, which was properly resolved thanks to Herman’s coordination. He also helped secure a complimentary room upgrade for us in advance. Throughout our stay, Herman and Beata consistently provided attentive help: collecting our takeout, answering all travel questions patiently, and he even took the initiative to apply for a late check-out for us. His thoughtful and efficient service greatly improved our whole trip. With superb location, wonderful facilities and warm personalised service, it was a flawless hotel experience, and I will definitely book here again on my next visit to Dali.
