Saga holiday which I found was great value staying in this delightful small hotel in an ideal location. I chose this resort for the peace and tranquillity that I desired and because I hadn’t really experienced the North coast on my travels to Madeira in the past. The hotel has good facilities for swimming and low impact sport. Dining was better than I expected and the menus were varied and adequate. The staff were exceptional and couldn’t be more friendly. If you are a photographer you will not be disappointed with the location and accessibility of locations that are fantastic to just wander about in, admiring the views. The scenery is quite outstanding. Travel to local locations is fairly simple by public transport or the shuttle bus which the hotel provides for visits to Sao Vicente. Reception can provide details on travel requirements and trips throughout the island. Whilst at the hotel I travelled to local locations, to Funchal and to Nuns Valley. There was always something to do at the resort and I was lucky during my stay to have great weather. The clientele were from all over Europe and the Saga group which I was part of were extremely friendly and a pleasure to be in the company of. I didn’t encounter any downside during my visit. Yes, the hotel could do with a slight makeover but this shouldn’t distract anyone for visiting. If you are requiring a break simply to recharge yourself then this is an ideal location.

Un hermoso hotel de playa que es perfecto para las caminatas románticas y una alternativa más barata, aunque aún de lujo, a los hoteles estándar de 5 estrellas. El hotel está muy lejos del centro de la estripa/ciudad y los precios de los taxis no son muy baratos en Madeira. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y impresionantes, muy bien valer con una gran selección de desayuno buffet y un montón de restaurantes/opciones para cenar. En general, un estupendo estancia con un personal muy amigable, sin embargo, si usted está buscando hacer una gran visita en Madeira, este hotel no es la mejor opción a menos que se deja una cantidad significativa para viajar.

This place was amazing. The location of Camara de Lobos was perfect. A lovely fishing village bay. The hotel was split into 2 buildings, the reception building and the main room stay and restaurant building. The reception building has a bar and various relaxing areas and a few stay room above. The other building, the main stay, has 2 floors for rooms and the 3rd floor has the restaurant, pool and sun beds area. The 2nd floor is the best because of the views down into the bay. When we first saw this place on Jet2 we thought it would be higher up the hillside, but this wasn’t the case, it is at street level. Food in the restaurant was good and they couldn’t do enough to satisfy your needs, from requesting ice and drinks to take to your room but going the whole 9 yards. Carolina was our waitress of our stay, whether she served us in the restaurant or at the dock bar by reception. Always smiling and couldn’t do enough for you. We was celebrating our 50 anniversary and the hotel left us a gift, drink and cakes etc, after the first week and wine and cakes on our actual anniversary. Thee receptionist gave good information regarding places to visit from either local buses to taxes etc. They organised a trip by mini bus for a tour of the east of the island.

He visitado este hotel antes de la reciente renovación y me gustaría saber sobre estos cambios. ¡Estoy muy sorprendido! Me gusta mucho el concepto abierto de recepción, bar, restaurante y su decoración. Destaqué los cambios realizados en la habitación: decoración, confort y facilidades extra (té, café, champagne y minibar). Me gusta la piscina construida en la terraza y sus alrededores. El desayuno es genial y me gusta la idea del menú de la cena. El personal es muy amable y atento. ¡Felicidades! ! ! 💖

Just back from a week at Calheta Beach. Absolutely fabulous hotel. The beds are just so comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. I became unwell and the receptionist had a taxi ordered for me in seconds and within an hour I was sorted. The staff are amazing. It’s so beautiful with stunning views . Breakfast and lunch were very good unfortunately I can’t say the same for dinner I’m not a fish eater and found the meat options limited and the steak skewers were really tough. The chefs own choice night was lovely. Also found the snacks very limited especially if you have children . In saying that I will most definitely return it’s one of the most beautiful places we have visited . Thank you all 😀👍🏻

Hoteles en Boca de Encumeada (480 mt). El autobús también se detiene en las proximidades, pero el personal da un paseo si es necesario. Muy amable Las habitaciones son grandes, espaciosas, limpias y calientes. Desayuno excelente, en nuestro caso sólo estaban en 5 en el hotel así que para cada extra se podía pedir. Ex huevos rasgados, panqueques. Puedes pedir pan para llevar (almuerzo packed), ten cuidado con el pan. Escriban SANDWICH y es con nuestro pan de bolsillo. Diga que quieres el pan en la caja hecho en casa. Eso es excelente. Buena cena con varias opciones. Hay un pequeño bar con cervezas artesanales de Madeira para el aperitivo. ¡Consejo con toda fuerza este hotel!
