Oriental aesthetics in every corner The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. Este viaje fue con mi novio y nos alojamos aquí un total de 3 noches. Como el mismo tipo de habitación estaba completo, tuvimos que cambiarnos de habitación en la planta superior al día siguiente. El dueño fue increíblemente amable y siempre se ofreció a ayudarnos a llevar nuestras maletas grandes. ¡Era una persona muy amable! Una noche, mi novio se sentía mal por el mal de altura y le escribió al dueño. Este respondió al instante, nos trajo cilindros de oxígeno y mostró una preocupación constante. ¡Nos conmovió profundamente! Todas las mañanas, el desayuno consistía en fideos de arroz calientes recién hechos, ¡que estaban deliciosos! La habitación también era espaciosa y limpia. Está convenientemente ubicado cerca del mercado de March Street, perfecto para ir de compras, y también cerca del casco antiguo. ¡Puedes alquilar patinetes eléctricos al dueño! ¡Incluso hay una mesa de billar abajo para entretenerte! Quiero repetir que el dueño es realmente maravilloso. No tomé fotos del hotel en sí, ¡pero el entorno es precioso!

La característica del hotel es que la terraza de la azotea es perfecta para tomar fotografías del atardecer y la vista al mar es muy hermosa. El ambiente vacacional está pleno y las fotos son realmente buenas. Hermanas, no se lo pierdan~

A 10 star experience From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the two Mo sisters and their adorable feline companions, Pirate (the black cat) and Sweet Tooth (the brown one). Everything about this stay—from the location and decor to the impeccable cleanliness and service—deserves 10 stars. The Mo sisters are incredibly friendly, chatty, and helpful, making the entire place feel like a beautifully maintained, quaint home. A few highlights: Thoughtful Details: The beds come equipped with heating pads for colder nights, which was such a nice touch. Amenities: I absolutely loved the peaceful courtyard and the rooftop area. Service: They are very attentive; for instance, if you need brighter reading lights, you just have to ask. The Atmosphere: The garden is lovingly cared for and adds so much to the vibe. Even as a dedicated dog lover, I have to admit that Pirate and Sweet Tooth completely won me over. If you are looking for a stay with character and heart, this is it!

Excelente hotel. El servicio fue sorprendente desde el momento en que llegamos. Me gustaría recomendar 100% a cualquiera que esté considerando una visita a Dali, que se quede en este hotel. La experiencia en AnYu fue perfecta. El hotel está ubicado en la ciudad antigua. Los taxis y Uber pueden aparcar justo delante de la entrada, a diferencia de otros hoteles de la ciudad antigua donde hay que caminar desde la calle principal, lo cual es increíblemente práctico. La decoración de estilo Nanyang es retro y exquisita. Cada mueble y elemento decorativo está elegido con mucho gusto, ¡incluso la caja del extintor! El ambiente es excelente y el sistema de música BOSE está presente en todo el edificio. Lamentablemente, teníamos la agenda apretada y no regresamos del casco antiguo de Dali hasta después de las 23:00, perdiéndonos el evento. Las dos recepcionistas nos esperaron para registrarnos e incluso nos ayudaron a subir el equipaje a nuestra habitación en la tercera planta. ¡Un servicio excelente! This hotel is honestly so photogenic, perfect for Instagram :)) There are flowers everywhere and the whole place has a very calm, chill vibe. Their service was really impressive. They contacted us one day before our stay and even arranged a driver to pick us up from Dali train station, which made everything super easy. The butlers were also very helpful, always quick to respond and attentive to anything we needed. They even gave us a free ride to our next hotel, which was such a nice extra touch. On top of that, they gifted me a cute elephant keychain for good fortune, so thoughtful and memorable. The location is great too, very convenient to get around.
