We stayed for one night at the Garden Panorama Suite with Soaking Tub at Dali Yunying Chunxiao Shuiyuan Scenic Hotel. This is a small boutique hotel, and while there are some things worth improving, the views and overall atmosphere were truly memorable. The first thing that struck us when we arrived was the view of Erhai Lake. It was absolutely exquisite and looked almost exactly like the photos online. Every corner of the hotel was incredibly photogenic, and the whole place had a very calm, peaceful and almost surreal atmosphere. The hotel itself is quite small, with a compact lobby that also serves as the breakfast area, but the incredible lake view more than made up for the limited space. The hotel is located along a cobbled street with no direct car access. The hotel contacted us beforehand to ask about our arrival time, which was appreciated, and their staff met us to collect our luggage and transported it to the hotel by motorbike. However, we initially thought someone would escort or pick us up, but instead we were given a location to follow on foot. The route was a little confusing and we got slightly lost, particularly because the final stretch goes through a very quiet back street that doesn’t really look like it leads to a hotel. It was also raining when we arrived and when we left, so we really appreciated that the hotel lent us umbrellas. The location itself is convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. However, one important point for future guests is that the streets leading back to the hotel are completely dark at night, with no street lights at all. We found this quite scary and felt it could be unsafe, especially for families with young children or anyone returning after dark. Our room had a beautiful view of Erhai Lake, but unfortunately the upkeep and cleanliness did not quite match what we expected for the price. There were quite a few dead fish and pieces of rubbish visible around the water when looking over the ledge, both from our room and from the lobby area. The balcony also had a hammock, but it did not look particularly safe to use, and there were plants growing out from the lake and into the hammock area. The room itself was also relatively small for the price, and the cleanliness could have been better. That said, there were some really lovely inclusions with our room, including afternoon tea, a photoshoot, goodnight dessert and breakfast. Breakfast was not buffet-style, but we were given a choice of mains along with some sides and a drink. The portions were on the smaller side, but everything we had was good. The photoshoot was a particularly nice touch and something we really appreciated. Three photos were included with our stay, and we actually enjoyed the experience enough to purchase additional photos beyond the included three. It was a lovely way to capture our time in Dali. We were also celebrating our child’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel went above and beyond by preparing a very cute birthday cake for him. It was such a thoughtful gesture and genuinely made the stay more special❤️ Overall, this hotel has an incredibly beautiful setting and a very unique atmosphere. The views are genuinely stunning and the photography opportunities are fantastic. The thoughtful extras, especially the photoshoot and birthday cake, were also highlights of our stay. However, for the price, we felt the room upkeep, cleanliness and accessibility could be improved, and the completely unlit walk back to the hotel at night is something future guests should be aware of. If the hotel were to improve the maintenance and cleanliness while addressing the nighttime access issue, it could be an exceptional boutique stay because the location and views are truly special.

The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. Este viaje fue con mi novio y nos alojamos aquí un total de 3 noches. Como el mismo tipo de habitación estaba completo, tuvimos que cambiarnos de habitación en la planta superior al día siguiente. El dueño fue increíblemente amable y siempre se ofreció a ayudarnos a llevar nuestras maletas grandes. ¡Era una persona muy amable! Una noche, mi novio se sentía mal por el mal de altura y le escribió al dueño. Este respondió al instante, nos trajo cilindros de oxígeno y mostró una preocupación constante. ¡Nos conmovió profundamente! Todas las mañanas, el desayuno consistía en fideos de arroz calientes recién hechos, ¡que estaban deliciosos! La habitación también era espaciosa y limpia. Está convenientemente ubicado cerca del mercado de March Street, perfecto para ir de compras, y también cerca del casco antiguo. ¡Puedes alquilar patinetes eléctricos al dueño! ¡Incluso hay una mesa de billar abajo para entretenerte! Quiero repetir que el dueño es realmente maravilloso. No tomé fotos del hotel en sí, ¡pero el entorno es precioso!

The room was incredibly spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The sea view was right in front of us, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the housekeeper was warm and chatty.

Very quiet, clean cut design which I loved it. young men and women running this place, they are sweet . But the first day was annoyed by the water tanks at the roof top, very noisy due to the room was just right below. But after telling the person in charge, the problem was solved immediately. You have to walk a distance to Dali old town, motel little shuttle service will send you to & fro at designated point. It's actually quite convenient.

The highlight of this hotel is the breathtaking view from the room. The hotel ambience feels homey and comfortable. I rarely write reviews for my trips, but this hotel truly won my heart with its welcoming service and friendly receptionists. What surprised me the most was the hotel driver, Mr. Mars, who offered to take us to Dali Railway Station free of charge. As we needed to catch our train, he did his very best to get us there as quickly as possible. What an amazing and unforgettable service! Thank you, Mr. Mars..you truly made our day with your warm and thoughtful service.

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was spacious, modern, and comfortable, providing plenty of space to relax after a day of sightseeing. The room service was prompt, efficient, and attentive, with the staff always happy to help. One feature we particularly appreciated was the pillow menu, which offered different types of pillows to suit individual sleeping preferences and made our stay even more comfortable. The fitness centre was also well equipped, with a good variety of machines and equipment, making it easy to keep up with our workout routine while travelling. Overall, this is a comfortable and well-managed hotel with excellent service and facilities. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Dali.

Cumplió totalmente nuestras expectativas. El patio es precioso y los alrededores son animados, lo que facilita el acceso a taxis y restaurantes. Además, está cerca de la calle peatonal, pero el hotel es muy tranquilo. El dueño es muy amable y es un placer tratar con él. El hotel tiene lavadora, pero no secadora. Si necesitan lavar ropa, recomiendo traer prendas de secado rápido, ya que se secan en una noche. Cuando fuimos, llovió todos los días, así que la ropa de algodón podría tardar dos días en secarse. Nos alojamos dos adultos y un niño durante 5 noches, y el niño nunca se aburrió, paseando por el patio o jugando con los gatos. Si volvemos a Dali, definitivamente nos alojaremos aquí de nuevo.
