The front desk service was impeccable. The staff were friendly and attended to our request appropriately. The hotel is clean and spacious. There is aa laundry area and small gym as well. It is also located about 12 mins walk away from Kunming old street. We enjoyed our stay here

Our stay at Dali Xingmai Mountain and Sea View Homestay was pleasant overall and a good value for its price, especially if you're seeking a peaceful retreat in the quieter part of Dali. Traveling as a family, we were looking for a place that offered serene sea views, and this homestay mostly delivered on that. While there is some ongoing construction in front of the building that slightly affects the view, the surrounding scenery is still beautiful and calming. The cleanliness of the homestay was satisfactory, and it offers a good range of amenities. The kitchen, in particular, is well-equipped, making it a great option for families or groups of friends planning to cook and enjoy meals together. However, if you're simply traveling for leisure and don't plan to spend much time at the homestay, you may find the kitchen unnecessary. One thing to note is that there is no central air conditioning or heating system. The homestay provides a bed warmer (which works well) and a small air-conditioning unit in the living room, but the bedrooms can get quite chilly at night, especially during winter. It's something to consider if you're visiting during colder months. In terms of location, this homestay is ideal if you're looking to unwind in a quiet and restful environment. However, for those planning a busy schedule with visits to Dali's main attractions, the distance might be a drawback. The homestay is located in a residential area, and getting to most tourist spots can take 45-60 minutes by car, whether you're heading to the west or east side of Erhai Lake. There are also no nearby F&B stores except one small restaurant in the building next door so make sure you eat in the city areas before coming back to the inn. It's also worth mentioning that this homestay feels more like an Airbnb than a traditional inn. It's situated in a residential building, with the entrance being a carpark and access through an elevator to a residential unit. There’s no lobby, service counter, or common areas. Instead, check-in and assistance are handled through WeChat. Despite some of the drawbacks, the service here truly stood out. The staff member assisting us was incredibly kind, prompt, and accommodating. Whenever we had questions or faced minor issues, she responded quickly and made every effort to resolve them, which helped make our trip smoother. Her attentiveness and helpfulness were a highlight of our stay and left a positive impression. We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

這間客棧是我們此次雲南遊裏面最最最喜歡的一家 大大超出了我們的預期 老闆人非常的nice，客棧雖在古城裡麪，但離停車場就兩分鐘的步行距離，老闆還會專門出來幫我們搬行李，離店的時候也是幫我們搬出古城 房間乾淨整潔，非常温馨，還有一籃備用包，幾乎把我們想不到的小東西全部都包含了，細節滿滿 房間還包含了一個大陽台實在太舒服，到的當天和隊友坐在陽台的椅子上看着樓下古城人來人往，別是一番滋味，就像住在這裏久一點不想離開 我們到達的時候老闆準備了下午茶點，早餐米線非常好吃，晚上還有睡前銀耳羹，因為和隊友晚上去酒吧回來很晚，老闆非常貼心的用保温桶裝着銀耳羹，睡前來一碗暖暖的 總體來説這真的是一家非常棒的客棧，絕對強推，我們下次打算來這裏住久一點好好享受享受

¡Un tesoro que se encuentra en cualquier momento! El jefe es muy bueno, ayudará a arrastrar el equipaje, el alojamiento le enviará flores y comidas, vamos a ser blancos* 😋❗️ Nos hemos actualizado una habitación mejor cuando nos quedamos! aire acondicionado, agua caliente, inteligencia 🏠, la experiencia es mejor que no 🥹 ¡Me gusta el entorno tranquilo y limpio y hermoso familias que viven 🤤 Lo más importante es que este huésped tiene un superadorable perro y gato, cualquier rua, los perros que aman a los gatos se enamorán de ellos 😍 Hasta que los busquen. Pekdong 🐶 Super se “sacar comida” 🥰 Los huéspeds se acercan al mercado de la mentira, es decir, salir, ¡Hay muchos frutos de mesa muy cómodos para cocinar!

Excellent hotel. Located inside the airport. I have early flight to catch so the location is perfect for us so we can sleep abit later and not need to rush to airport since we are already in the airport. The receipt is extremely customer oriented, there are two reception and located at both end and she assign the rooms near to her side so we don't need to walk to the other end. As we are taking early flight and could not take breakfast, she is so nice to pack some milk and pastries for us. The room are in good size, clean, and high tech using voice control! If I go back kunming again I will definitely stay here.

The location and design of the hotel are perfect for those wanting to experience Lijiang Ancient Town. There’s a lovely courtyard where you can relax enjoying a view of the ancient town — I was lucky to be there during New Year’s and got to see fireworks from there! I contacted the owner a day before my arrival for baggage pickup, and he help carry my bags to the hotel. Didi rides are easy to book, but be prepared for a bit of walking — it’s recommended for those with good knees, as you’ll need to hike a little to comeback to the hotel when heading down to the town center. The owner welcomed us with tea while we waited to check in, provided a steam iron when we needed one, and the guesthouse also offers washing machines (though there’s no dryer). He was very responsive to every inquiry and made an effort to chat with us, even though we used a translator app to communicate. On our last day, he even gave us free tea and helped carry our luggage to the Didi waiting point. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lijiang!

Booked the family room at courtyard level as I had elderly and wanted an accommodation which is easy to access. I also did not want to be hoisting luggages up and down and over cobbled streets in the old town and somewhere along the city wall so it is easy to start our tour of the sights around Dali in the morning. Room: Simple efficient clean layout with open concept. Rooms are relatively new. Sink area is located outside the bathroom which is good. The beds are hard in my opinion but elder felt the bed was comfortable. Bottled water was provided everyday (left outside our door). Room Temperature control was ok and the hot water for the shower heated up quick and could maintain at a stable level which is a plus unlike some other hotels in Yunnan. There is flight of 3-4 steps to room which is manageable for our elder as the room is slightly raised above the courtyard. We had an early check-in as the room was ready. The staff helped us move the luggages to our room. You could also book the entire courtyard for larger groups. The owner is building additional new rooms in the annex but the construction happens during the day and it is not noisy as most guests would be out. Location: It is near the South Gate (there is a local market nearby check the maps or ask the owner) and our local driver could stop right outside our accommodation. We didn’t get breakfast from the bnb as there were food shops offering noodles, congee and fried dumplings around that open early at 7am. You can also make your way to the local market near the gate. You could also go up the South Gate for free to catch the sunrise or sunset view. Touring around Dali If you can comms in Chinese, you could message the owner ahead to assist to arrange for a car transfer from Dali Fengyi Airport or the Dali Railway station to the BnB. It cost RMB50 for us from the Railway station to the BnB. You could also arrange with him for a day driver to take you around the sight seeing places around Dali /Erhai Lake, Mt Cang or a driver to send you to Lijiang. We felt was more efficient and relaxing with an elder. It took ~3h drive instead of travelling south to the Dali train station to ride the train to Lijiang and finding a cab from Lijiang railway to the old Lijiang ancient city. You could also easily catch a Didi or a cab which could be cheaper. A cab/car ride to the 3 Chong Sen Temple pagodas was about 10rmb for 3-4pax which is comparable to waiting for Bus 4 which cost 3rmb per pax.

La casa es muy nueva y es realmente amigable para las personas obsesionadas con la limpieza. La ubicación de la tienda es muy buena, está a un paso de la ciudad antigua, no te cansarás mucho de caminar. Además, el dueño de la tienda es muy amable y el restaurante en la puerta también es de su propiedad. Es conveniente para comer y el precio es justo. Las fotografías de viajes en su puerta son más baratas que las de la ciudad antigua. lo cual es un buen negocio. Me quedé 3 días en total, fue realmente bueno y me hizo sentir mejor con la experiencia Shangri-La.

Two of my girlfriends and I had a most memorable stay at Zheyuan from Sept 18-21. Of our week's trip in Yunnan, this homestay was hands-down the best experience, compelling me to leave a review. Room: Our three-person room was large, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. There were two beds, a spacious bathroom (with a Dyson hairdryer I might add!), a work desk, and even a balcony. There was light housekeeping daily so our room was always clean. Since our room was on the second floor and there are no elevators, we were thankful for the owner's help in moving our luggage. Amenities: The owners take great pride in the living space and it shows. From the perfectly manicured zen garden and water features that invite you to relax at any time of day, to the practical appliances - hot/cold water dispenser, laundry machine, fresh fruit and snacks replenished daily... Everything is in immaculate working condition and carefully curated. The tea garden outside is a perfect place for sipping tea with friends (or the owners!) as you're peacefully surrounded by an assortment of colourful flora and greenery. If you're in the mood for a movie, there's a TV room and projector as well. Location: The homestay is a short 7 minute walk from the Shuhe Ancient town entrance which makes it convenient without being overwhelming. Bonus tip: It is just a 5 min walk away from several breakfast spots that open around 6am - this was useful as we had tours starting at 630am. It is also easy to Didi/ taxi from this location to Lijiang Ancient town (about 17 mins by car). Host: This is the icing on the cake. The lovely brother-sister owner duo managing the homestay are the very embodiment of hospitality. From our first day, they went the extra mile to make sure we felt at home - helping us arrange our transport, giving us a warm welcome, providing us solid recommendations for food and tours... The owner took great care of us and was super responsive to all our queries via WeChat and in person. The owner and his sister elevate an already excellent homestay to an especially memorable one. And for that, we are truly grateful. Don't hesitate to give this place a try!
