It was absolutely amazing experience. We came from Japan & came to highland area to escape the city busyness. We are astonished about this hidden gem. As we came in we were welcomed with fantastic passion fruit juice. We came after dark & only requested simple white rice & fried vegetable but the chef and her staff made an amazing dinner with simple vegetable & rice. I realized how food prepared with heart can heal our soul. I was kept thinking if people in the world could eat this kind of food with real soul in it, could heal the whole world!! It is so amazing to be surrounded by beautiful trees &sounds of animals. I will definitely come back again. O

一開始辦理入住的那個前台小屋子讓人有點失落，不過實際入住的房間真的很驚喜，設計很有特色，室內很乾凈，空調電扇應有盡有，最主要是房間空間非常大，很適合帶孩子或者長者住，不會覺得壓抑。住的二樓，入住退房都有小哥幫忙抬行李，不過這也是斯里蘭卡酒店標配吧。總得來説是我們一家人喜歡的風格。也是這一趟斯里蘭卡之旅住的最舒服的一次。

Me alojé en la habitación 234. Empecemos por lo malo. La alcachofa de la ducha no funcionaba. Hay que tener mucho cuidado al usarla, ya que el agua podría causar quemaduras de tercer grado y el suelo estaba muy resbaladizo. Ahora lo regular. Personalmente, me pareció que el menú de la cena era un poco limitado y la calidad de la comida dejaba mucho que desear. Ahora lo bueno. Habitación y baño muy espaciosos. Sábanas y toallas de buena calidad. Cama cómoda y buen aire acondicionado. El personal muy amable, atento y servicial. Volvería a alojarme aquí, pero deberían arreglar la ducha, ya que es peligrosa.

Этот отель выбирали прям по месту! Приехали, посмотрели и забронировали 3 номера. Причем через сайт бронировать было дешевле чем в отеле. Когда нам показывали номера в нос ударил очень резкий, специфический запах, я спросила что это такое, мне ответили что это их ароматизаторы и их можно смыть. Я сказала что я с таким запахом жить не смогу и нужно убрать, сказали ок и мы пошли оформляться. Дальше я закинула вещи и ушли плавать, кушать. Вечером вернулась в номер запах был и тут меня осенило что это средство от тараканов!!!!!! Жертвы лежали уже по всему номеру, причем очень большие. На ресепшен меня молча переселили, даже не извинившись. Этот момент конечно очень испортил впечатление. Ведь я сразу озвучила что запах очень резкий. Очень интересно сделан сан узел, он будто бы на улице, в душе сетка и уличный закуток. Выходя из прохладного номера сильный контраст, но это не портит отдых. Мне понравилось оформление одноразовых наборов, они выглядели очень стильно. Вечерами в ресторане играли музыканты (первый день были мантры под музыку, на второй день пел очень шикарно парень. В ресторане можно кушать по меню или ужин/обед шведский стол. Пробовали оба варианта, все очень не плохо. Очень внимательный персонал в кафе, администратор завидя нас уже бежал готовить нам стол. Обслуживали и у бассейна. Территория не большая, но располагает к отдыху. Обезьяны даже прибегали. Подруги ходили в спа, сказали хороший массаж был. Из отеля ездили в Сигирию (минут 20 на машине) и на сафари в парк.

El hotel es un buen hotel con una habitación espacial y hermosa, con un sabor refrescante y una piscina en el suelo, con un jacuzzi con agua caliente.  Minús del hotel: El taxi del centro de la ciudad es tan barato como para recogerme x2. El taxi del hotel es 3 veces más caro. No hay tiendas ni restaurantes cerca del hotel, así que dentro de los precios del hotel para comida x3, También después de las 6:00 es peligroso estar fuera porque los elefantes están caminando por ahí. En 7 años de viaje, este es el primer hotel que no tenía un baño, pantalones de baño, toallas y pasta dental en la habitación. En el hotel, el hotel está en una zona de la ciudad, donde se encuentra el centro de la ciudad. El hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado. No fue debido a la llegada de nuevos clientes, ya que el gerente ofreció ampliar nuestra estancia a un precio. En general, el hotel no es malo, pero el servicio y la flexibilidad del personal, así como el enfoque individual a los clientes, no corresponden al nivel de premio y requiere mejoras.

Abbiamo pernottato qui due notti per poter godere delle due attrazioni principali della zona. I ragazzi sono molto disponibili ed il responsabile è un giovane simpatico che ci sa fare! La posizione è molto tranquilla anche se non molto lontano dai locali. Camera buona e anche la colazione servita all'ultimo sulla terrazza che guarda sulla rocca. Di notte la strada sterrata è completamente buia e vi sconsiglio di andarci a piedi meglio se con una macchina o un tuktuk.

Set in a lovely, peaceful location beside the Kandalama Reservoir, Amaya Lake Dambulla offers a relaxing retreat within a large property with plenty of mature trees, giving the resort a natural and spacious feel. The property features a good range of amenities, with the swimming pools being especially refreshing after a long day exploring the surrounding area. The buffet breakfast offered a comprehensive selection, catering to a variety of tastes. The chalets were clean and reasonably well maintained, and the staff throughout the resort were warm and friendly.

Kalundewa Retreat has an amazing concept and a beautiful, secluded location that really stands out. The surroundings are peaceful and unique, making it a lovely place to disconnect. That said, there are visible signs of wear and tear in certain areas, and some aspects of property maintenance could be improved. However, what truly made up for this was the hotel team — their service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent and clearly prepared with care, which added greatly to the overall experience. With better upkeep, this place has the potential to be exceptional.

Firstly, as a solo traveller the prices are quite steep per room per night!! But hence everything else is far after visiting the Lion try I gave it a try. The place is beutiful but seemed the cleaning staff doesn’t refill bathroom soaps, towels and tissue quite often. Everyone including myself kept on asking the receptionist guy for stuff. My plug sockets didn’t work, I slept thinking my power bank and phone would be fully charged by the morning. The people are polite. Lots of noise at night and turns out it’s elephant 🐘 noise and dogs barking. So I missed a 2 good hours of sleep. They do try to fix the problems when you tell them about them.
