UUsuario anónimoI've stayed at Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Grand Batam twice this year, in February and May 2026, and once again, the experience exceeded expectations.
This time, I booked an Executive Twin room for my mother-in-law and her friend for a short getaway from 30 May to 1 June 2026.
The location is excellent—directly opposite Grand Batam Mall, making shopping, dining, and entertainment incredibly convenient. The hotel is also right next to Eska Wellness Spa, where guests can enjoy massages, hair treatments, manicures, and pedicures, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Even before arrival, the service was impressive. I contacted the hotel via WhatsApp regarding a few special requests, and the staff were professional, responsive, and genuinely accommodating throughout the process.
Some highlights of the stay included:
• Spacious and spotlessly clean room
• Comfortable beds that provided a good night's rest
• Hot and cold water dispensers available at every lift lobby
• Smart TV with access to Netflix, YouTube, and other entertainment options
• Excellent breakfast spread with a wide variety of local and international selections
• Complimentary hi-tea, which was a delightful surprise and made the afternoons even more enjoyable
What truly sets this hotel apart is its people. Every staff member—from the front desk and housekeeping team to the chefs, waiters, and bellboys—provided exceptional service with warmth, professionalism, and genuine friendliness throughout the stay.
My mother-in-law and her friend did not have the opportunity to use the hotel facilities such as the swimming pool and gym during this stay, so we are unable to comment on those. However, based on their overall experience, they truly enjoyed every moment here and appreciated the comfort, convenience, and hospitality provided.
We will definitely be returning again and would highly recommend Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Grand Batam to families, couples, and anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming stay in Batam.

UUsuario invitadoRequested for a higher floor away from the bar but got a room on the 6th floor, just right above the bar on the 3rd floor. Rooms are not sound proof so we could hear the bar playing music till midnight plus we can hear sounds from the other room when walking in the corridor. On our last day we decided to have the hotel breakfast and the live meat grilling station started producing a lot of smoke, making the entire hotel lobby choked up with smoke due to poor ventilation. Had to shift outdoors to continue our meal. Location is also far from most attractions but it was not much of a problem since grab rides are easily available an affordable.

AAzy AbdullahSaw this and it's amenities and felt it was the best for me and my 3 kids. Decided to try this out didn't realize it was further than I'm usually used to.
We arrived in the evening but was greeted by a cheerful receptionist.
Please note there is a 1 mil rupiah deposit. I wasn't prepared for this so I thought to give this a heads up for future booking awareness.
The place was alittle hard to spot from the main road ( there was no signage) but it's landmarks are Cubezone and Ria.
Note, there is a laundry service across the road please expect 1-2 days. Express service is 1 day
The entrance is a dainty little walkway like a secret hideout into a cactus garden that somehow transports you to what looks like Bali crossed with New Mexico feels.
A small but clean pool, well maintained. They have dining table and benches outside for a chill out vibe. There's also a BBQ space where you can engage in their BBQ rental (provides charcoal n pit) with a ceiling fan n sink for your convenience and comfort.
Area is nice and spacious. Once again I just emphasize, they keep it very clean.
The place it seems is 6 container villas surrounding the garden n pool. Which is perfect if you plan to have a big group in.
Inside there's a basic kitchenette with a fridge, pot, kettle.
There were 2 rooms. Both equipped with bathrooms and tvs. Ac was perfection.you don't have to worry about the heat. It's so nice and cold. Makes you wanna just not get out of bed.
The wifi was laggy alittle, didn't bother us as we had local data but it wasn't so nice to be watching a movie and gettin disrupted.
TV is equipped with YOUTUBE and Netflix. Pretty awesome to keep the kids occupied.
Be warned they have live bands that play music till 1-2 am in the morning. Definately didn't expect that but it didn't bother us so much. Once again, another heads up.
Pool is open from 7am to 9pm.
Its also a 15-20mins drive to Nagoya. We normally do Grab roughly about 60-70k.
The host has their number in the welcome print and responds pretty fast if you need to enquire on anything.
Overall, the place is pretty charming and despite it being alittle far from massages n karaoke, I think I found a new go to place. Certainly looking forward to be back.

KKenny Noel LimHotel crew service and amenities were great! Not much around the hotel, but nothing a Grab can’t fix. Breakfast spread was amazing. Room and pool has great views. There’s also a supermarket right across the hotel lobby where the prices are marked up a fair bit, but convenient if you need anything quickly.
The rooftop bar had a great ambience, however, it can get a little noisy from the traffic - probably due to the hotel’s proximity to the road and also infrastructure.
But overall great stay!

DDean StantonAsialink Hotel by Prasanthi is my favourite hotel in Batam. By a considerable margin.
Best described as ”luxury boutique”, the management team and staff have perfected the art of hospitality here.
I and my partner can find nothing to fault, from the quality of the welcome to the beautiful pool to the plentiful, varied and high quality breakfast buffet.

Para nuestra sorpresa, el resort nos dio una renovación complimentaria a una hermosa villa de tres pisos, completa con dos dormitorios, un espacioso espacio en el piso y acceso al techo en el nivel superior. El buen gesto que hizo que mi cumpleaños se sintiera aún más especial.
El personal, que era constantemente amable, profesional y bienvenido durante toda nuestra estancia, recibió una atención y una hospitalidad muy calurosas que contribuyeron a la experiencia global.
El hotel es un lugar ideal para encontrar una zona relajada donde puede pasar la mayor parte de su tiempo en la propiedad.

Imagino que la espera puede ser aún más larga durante los períodos de pico, de modo que aumentar la frecuencia de los bugs mejoraría sin duda la experiencia de los huéspedes.
El hotel está situado a unos 30 minutos del centro de la ciudad de Batam, donde están los centros comerciales y restaurantes.
En general, tuvimos una estancia maravillosa y apreciamos las sorpresas de cumpleaños que nos han dado un gran placer.

VVyethEl lugar es tranquilo y tranquilo, no mucha gente y nos disfrutamos de la piscina. Hay muchas cosas que hacer para que no te aburres. Intentamos el kayaking y su muy divertido. Mi hija ama nadar para que nademos todo el tiempo.
La tarifa de la habitación es muy buena, no comimos mucho, así que estamos bien con lo que está en el bufete.

The main reason I continue choosing this hotel is because of the exceptional customer service provided by the staff. A special appreciation to Joices, Wani, Alin, Yani, and Salsa for their warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness throughout my stay. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and well taken care of.
The hotel facilities and environment perfectly suited all my needs, making the stay both relaxing and enjoyable. Beyond the names mentioned, every member of the team — from room service, housekeeping, welcoming staff, to the drivers — shared one common objective: putting the customer first. Their teamwork, dedication, and genuine hospitality are truly commendable.
