First, the good: the aesthetic of the hotel is exceptional, especially the lobby and the bar. You receive a personalised welcome including a history of the hotel. The rooms are super quiet and dark at night and you'll for sure get a good sleep. The bad: the rooms are very small and the one we got (Rose) was a disappointment compared to the photos. The room lacked basic amenities like tea and coffee which you get in even the most low budget hotels, and when the front desk was called to ask about this, we were offered tea brought to the room, but then charged 20 euros (we got this removed from the bill of course, but this should not have happened to begin with). The service was very slow during our stay, both the check-in but also the breakfast. It felt like it was understaffed, even though at breakfast it was only around half full at the time. In general, the service level attempts to be more personal to justify its 5 star rating, but clearly more staff are needed to pull this off properly. The spa was too cold to enjoy. I would not stay again, but would consider visiting the bar to enjoy the unique atmosphere.

Esta fue mi segunda estancia en Drawing House. Lo que nos gusta: Ubicación: está bien ubicado, cerca del metro, a 2 minutos a pie y muy cerca de la estación de tren Montparnasse. Está en una calle muy tranquila y limpia. A pocos minutos a pie de las tiendas de comestibles y la panadería. La heladería está a unos 10 minutos. Servicio: nos encantó el personal de recepción. Fueron muy amables y serviciales. Servicio: proporciona pantuflas, champú, gel de ducha y ubicación. Estacionamiento: estacionamiento privado muy seguro. No nos gusta: lo único que no nos gusta es el lavabo. Es demasiado pequeño para hacer una limpieza facial matutina y un lavado de dientes. En general, nos lo pasamos bien. I stayed here for a couple of nights from the 7th to the 9th of August. During my first night stay, I had a very unpleasant experience with the night receptionist. I returned to the hotel after watching an Olympic table tennis match that finished at around midnight. After showering and washing my hair I found out that the hair dryer didn't work so I phoned the reception to ask for help. The receptionist told me that there was nothing he could do as housekeeping was closed. I told him that I couldn't go to bed with wet hair but he repeatedly refused to help. After a long argument with him on the phone he eventually came up to my room. On entering my room, his manner was aggressive and he was more interested in scolding me than trying to fix the hair dryer. It wasn't until I told him that I would demand a full refund of my room rates before he fixed the problem. The lengthy and frustrating process of dealing with this guy kept me up until 2am. The following day, I filed a complaint with the manager who promised he would investigate the matter. The way I was treated by this night time receptionist makes me feel that there was an element of race and gender discrimination as I am an Asian woman. I'd like to think this was a bad showing by one individual staff rather than the general service level of the hotel. The other staff of the hotel seemed friendly and helpful.

It is a pleasant property with helpful and courteous staff, and the breakfast is excellent. However, the stay was less comfortable than expected. The mattresses are of poor quality and caused a sinking feeling in the bed, making sleep uncomfortable. Street traffic can also be clearly heard and even felt in the rooms due to constant rumbling. In addition, although the television is advertised as a smart TV, it does not allow connection to a phone or laptop. The spa treatment itself was rather average. On the positive side, the pool and steam room area is very nice and especially pleasant during winter. The fitness area, however, feels dull and poorly equipped, with basic, low quality treadmill. Overall, the property has potential, but several aspects fall short of what one would expect at this level and noticeably affected comfort.

While the hotel itself is physically nice, the service was very subpar. Upon early arrival, staff told us a room was almost ready, but we were left waiting for over two hours. To make matters worse, we were placed on the first floor where street noise was a major issue. Despite requesting a room change to a higher floor for our second night, we were flatly denied the next day. It felt like our concerns weren't taken seriously. I expected much better service for a hotel of this caliber.
