We recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation. For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel. But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. We really loved our stay at See Faraway. It felt like staying at a friend’s home. The setting has a dream like feeling. It’s a cozy place on the side of the mountain and surrounded by gardens. 王先生 was very kind and made us feel comfortable. He was always happy to offer assistance and he even made tiramisu one afternoon which was a nice surprise. The food was yummy and fresh homestyle. We decided to go out into town one night for dinner and really regretted it. It was nice coming back at the end of the day to a home cooked meal. The coffee is good too! The room was super super clean and cozy. All the towels and sheets smelt fresh. My wife really liked the soap brand they use so I guess it’s the good stuff. The view is stunning too and when it rained we chilled with the windows open inside reading and drawing. Also it’s easy to get a didi where ever you want and most things are 5-15 minute drive away but the hiking trails directly behind the hotel are amazing! There’s a lot to discover on your walk but I won’t spoil what you can find! I don’t often write reviews but I’m on the way back home and already missing the small mountain village. This place is really cool and I hope to visit again soon 🤗

Nos quedamos solo una noche pero muy impresionados con la hospitalidad del personal y el gerente que nos saludó y atendió durante nuestra estancia, muy amable y servicial. la cena es excepcional muy deliciosa. Muy recomendable este pequeño hotel hogareño, muy tranquilo por la noche, ambiente tranquilo y limpio. Incluso conseguimos un agradable viaje en vehículo eléctrico a un precio razonable desde Shanghai y de regreso a Shanghai, un conductor muy amable, un tipo muy interesante. Los caminos a lo largo del camino son increíbles, hermosos paisajes, limpios y verdes.

Absolutely a must visit place. The cabins are really cozy and modern but still in the forest. There is nothing what you could miss. The restaurants are really good as well especially the Kikaboni, if your are looking for something fancy. The hiking trails through the bamboo forest and teafields are relaxing as well.

Xiao Li en la recepción fue educado y atento, y me dio pequeños obsequios durante el período del Año Nuevo chino. La cabaña familiar en la que nos hospedamos esta vez tiene una cama grande en el dormitorio principal en el primer piso y una azotea en el segundo piso con dos camas individuales separadas, muy adecuada para traer dos niños. Ya sabes, finalmente no es necesario que 4 personas se amontonen en 2 camas. Tanto los dormitorios como el salón están equipados con aires acondicionados, y el baño tiene calefactor, por lo que no sentirás frío aunque la temperatura esté bajo cero. Como nos mudamos antes del Festival de Primavera, había muy poca gente y contratamos el patio de recreo. Hay pavos reales y ovejas en el lindo paraíso de mascotas del hotel, pero no se vio ningún otro animal. Lo más valioso es que al anochecer se pueden ver muchas estrellas que no son visibles en las grandes ciudades. El hotel es muy grande. Debe tomar un autobús de enlace hacia y desde el centro de recepción. Es inconveniente pedir comida para llevar. We recently stayed at Moganshan Mountain Villa for one night and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The hotel is located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by stunning scenery that really allows you to appreciate the natural beauty of Moganshan. The interior of the hotel is also very pleasant, with comfortable and well-maintained facilities that make for a relaxing stay. The staff were helpful throughout our visit and were always willing to assist when needed. At times, however, some staff members came across as a little blunt. A warmer, friendlier approach and a few more smiles would help create an even more welcoming atmosphere for guests. There are also a couple of areas where the hotel could be improved. An outdoor table tennis table would be a great addition and would provide another enjoyable activity for guests. Additionally, my girlfriend got a splinter in her foot around the pool area, so it may be worth checking the surfaces there to ensure they are safe and well maintained. Despite these minor points, we had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. The location is fantastic, the surroundings are beautiful, and we would definitely stay here again in the future.

The room was excellent, very cozy and well-maintained, with a beautiful mountain view that makes the whole experience even more special. One of the highlights is the tea room, which is thoughtfully designed for tea preparation and relaxation. The decoration combines traditional and modern elements in a very tasteful way, with beautiful details, instruments, and carefully selected design pieces. The entire space feels artistic and calming. The property is surrounded by abundant greenery and plants everywhere, especially outdoors, which makes the environment feel fresh and natural. Sitting there and looking out toward the bamboo forests is incredibly peaceful and contemplative. Whether the weather is sunny or cloudy, the atmosphere remains equally pleasant and charming. Another lovely detail is the nearby stream—you can hear the gentle sound of flowing water, which adds even more tranquility to the stay. The staff are very kind, welcoming, and attentive, making guests feel comfortable, almost as if they are in their own natural home environment. The guests staying there are also respectful and pleasant, contributing to the calm atmosphere. Transportation is also very convenient, with taxis arriving quickly and reliably. There is a nearby village called Yucun that is lovely to visit, and many scenic areas around the hotel are easily accessible as well. Overall, this is an ideal place for anyone looking for peace, beautiful design, nature, and a truly relaxing experience in Moganshan.
