My husband and I really enjoyed our 2-night stay in the Ziling Mountain View Suite. The entire villa is beautifully decorated but in a way that feels lived in rather than pretentious. It's like being invited to a friend's home in the mountains. If you are a book-lover like me, you will enjoy the villa and rooms even more because there are shelves full of books everywhere you look. When you are not seeing books, you are seeing the stunning gardens or views of the surrounding mountains. We loved the daybed in our suite, covered in colourful pillows with a window that perfectly frames the mountain view and we spent evenings curled up there with books. During the day we were in search of hikes and our host, who loves to travel and hike himself, had lots of thoughtful recommendations. There is a very steep (and beautiful) trail just steps away from the house that leads you up the mountain through bamboo forest, past a local temple, and up to a field with sweeping views. We had both breakfast and dinner at the villa and the food was incredible, including very fresh fruit and vegetables, simple and delicious noodles, and beautifully cooked pork, chicken, and seafood dishes. We were also treated to homemade Tiramisu (made by the owner). It feels like the owner genuinely enjoys sharing this beautiful property with guests and finding ways to help make your experience unique and memorable. This was my first time in China and warm and generous hosts like this, combined with the beauty of the area, make me eager to return.

Nos recibieron y acompañaron como buenos amigos. El propietario de Arcadia Ernest es una persona hospitalaria, amable e interesante con un inglés excelente. Nuestra estancia en Naked Castle Resort fue verdaderamente inolvidable. A Comfortable, Pet-Friendly Stay with a Few Areas for Improvement The hotel can be difficult to identify when you first arrive because there is no sign directly on the building. Instead, the sign is attached to a gate that usually remains open, so it becomes partially folded and easy to miss. The hotel also does not have on-site parking. Guests park across the street at the restaurant where breakfast is served each morning. Breakfast was traditional Chinese and included steamed buns, sweet potato, a hard-boiled egg, watermelon, tea, and milk. Everything was very tasty. Coffee was also available, but it cost extra. The people looking after the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived, they were filling the swimming pool after cleaning it and told us it would be ready later that day. Although the pool was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel, it did not quite meet our cleanliness standards because the deeper areas still appeared slightly cloudy. However, many other guests were comfortable using it, and we saw people enjoying the pool every day. The library area was absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately, there was a strong smell of mildew that made it difficult to spend much time there. These were the main drawbacks of our stay. Our room, however, was lovely. It smelled fresh, the bed was firm and very comfortable, and the sheets were clean. The staff emptied the rubbish and replenished our drinking water every day. The bathroom products were high quality, and toothbrushes were provided upon arrival. The room would have been even better if there had been enough towels for everyone staying in it and if the water had been slightly hotter. The hotel is located directly beside the river, with access to a peaceful riverside walk through beautiful gardens. There is also an elevated walkway farther down the road that looked interesting, although we did not have the opportunity to explore it. The river area was especially relaxing, and if I return, I would bring folding chairs and a small folding table so we could sit in the shallow water, relax, and play games. Most attractions and restaurants are approximately a 20-minute drive from the hotel. The receptionist tried to help us with maps and itineraries. Unfortunately, even after attempting to find the same hike on three different days, we were unable to locate the trailhead. It seemed that even local residents were not very familiar with the exact route. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is that it is pet-friendly and does not charge an additional pet fee, which was an important reason we chose it. The gentleman at reception also helped us secure a dinner reservation at Naked Ranch, where we had a wonderful evening. Moganshan is a beautiful destination, and overall, this hotel provided a comfortable stay. There is certainly some room for improvement, but I would return because I slept incredibly well and appreciated the warm, helpful service. Thank you again to the staff for all their assistance.

Xiao Li en la recepción fue educado y atento, y me dio pequeños obsequios durante el período del Año Nuevo chino. La cabaña familiar en la que nos hospedamos esta vez tiene una cama grande en el dormitorio principal en el primer piso y una azotea en el segundo piso con dos camas individuales separadas, muy adecuada para traer dos niños. Ya sabes, finalmente no es necesario que 4 personas se amontonen en 2 camas. Tanto los dormitorios como el salón están equipados con aires acondicionados, y el baño tiene calefactor, por lo que no sentirás frío aunque la temperatura esté bajo cero. Como nos mudamos antes del Festival de Primavera, había muy poca gente y contratamos el patio de recreo. Hay pavos reales y ovejas en el lindo paraíso de mascotas del hotel, pero no se vio ningún otro animal. Lo más valioso es que al anochecer se pueden ver muchas estrellas que no son visibles en las grandes ciudades. El hotel es muy grande. Debe tomar un autobús de enlace hacia y desde el centro de recepción. Es inconveniente pedir comida para llevar. También puede comprar comida con anticipación. vaya a los restaurantes occidentales y chinos del hotel. Si quieres alejarte del bullicio de la ciudad, puedes intentar quedarte aquí.

Clean and good hotel. Kind of difficult to find food so make sure you plan your trip out. I think a short trip is fine for a few days but anything longer and you may run out of activities.

Very nice place, isolated and peaceful. Very big rooms with comfortable bed for excellent rest. I also appreciated the design of the common areas. All the staff, and in particular the guy ”Mark” (who spoke a good English for the standards), was very kind and professional, I felt like I was at home. I loved also the Chinese breakfasts!
