This lovely art deco inspired hotel is a small, boutique hotel set in a fabulous location to enjoy Sydney. While centrally located, it is a nice and quiet for a good night’s sleep. It is walking distance to almost everything - short walk to nearby bars and restaurants and Central station and a bit further walk to Oxford St or the CBD, or just 40 minutes to the Opera House. The hotel is beautifully designed and finished. The bed and bathroom were very comfortable and the complimentary coffee/pastries/ fruit breakfast is very enjoyable. There is a lovely roof top terrace and an honour snack and drinks bar to enjoy too. Every room is different with clever design to make the most of their size. We stayed in a cosy room (107) and, as the website says, it is snug for a couple! We managed fine and really enjoyed our stay but personally I would have preferred a luggage rack to the sitting chair (which is overly large for a small room). The staff were all welcoming and professional. This is our second stay in a Crystalbrook hotel and both have been excellent.

Lovely new boutique hotel in an area that felt a bit similar to Soho, close to Central train station. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are compact but have everything you need and was sufficient space for 2 people, and very comfortable.

I stayed at the ACE for 2 weeks during a recent business trip and I was very impressed. (And when it comes to hotels. I'm not easy to please to please.) Most importantly, the rooms were super clean. As a bonus, the bed was comfortable too. The restaurant had good food and the staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. For a hotel, the gym was pretty good with treadmills, a rowing machine, dumbbells' up to 50lbs and Kettlebells. My only complaint is that the bar area gets very loud. I could actually hear the bass coming from the music on the 4th floor at night. I asked to be moved to a higher floor and after that I had no issues. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 4 nights in May 2022 and what a calamity of an experience. It even begun before we landed in Sydney with them cancelling our booking due to a water leak in the room they allocated to us. After trying to find alternative accommodation at the last minute we were then advised all was OK. The greeting when we arrived was good and we were shown our room located directly behind the communal kitchen (room 1). Apparently they supplied a continental breakfast each morning with bakery items, cereals, orange juice, coffee but you wouldn't know it because only on one morning of the four we were there we were greeted with leftover crumbs or one lonely croissant. On one morning there was even no milk, coffee or orange juice at all. This place does not have a manned reception which I have no issue with but each time we went downstairs to the bar to ask a question we were treated with distain from the girls working there. The room was spacey but just really poor hygiene and basic....very basic. Then to top it off on our final night the vanity in the bathroom fell off the wall and onto me throwing out all our toiletries and leaving me with a heavy bang on the head. They couldn't fix the problem and instead arranged alternate accommodation at another hotel so we had to pack up our bags and relocate unexpectedly. By the time we got to the other hotel it was 11:15pm and we had to leave the following morning. They didn't even offer us any compensation or at the very least a breakfast voucher considering we had only managed to get something to eat on 1 of the 4 mornings we were there. Just really poor service with little regard to how it impacted us. NEVER AGAIN.

La mejor parte fue cuando el hombre de mantenimiento de los tanques de pescado tuvo un chat decente sobre el proceso de limpiar el tanque de pescado que está bajo el suelo en el hogar y enseñó a nuestros hijos sobre el pescado. El desayuno buffet fue un golpe con todos y luchamos para sacar a los niños de la piscina.

En el lado de la atmósfera, el decor y el arte moderno estaban alzando y divertido. La habitación era muy limpia. Pero nos sorprendió encontrar la habitación tan pequeña. Para que 2 personas entraran en la cama, uno tenía que abrazar sobre el otro. La pequeña caja de ventanas se convirtió en el establo de noche. No había espacio para equipaje, no había rastros de equipaje - nos dijeron que no tenían suficiente. Esto significaba una bolsa en el piso y una en la mesa de plástico muy pequeña. El hotel está muy bien situado, pero el hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado. ¿Has visto alguna vez una microonda? La ducha y las paredes de la baño tenían el mismo patrón de matriz de puntos que una puerta de microondas. Mi compañera estaba sorprendido de ver mientras duchas que podía verme relajarse en la cama, y cuando gritó “¿Puedes verme? ¡Yo respondí que sí! Mi compañero tiene ahora la TV-PTSD. No sólo se ve el ducha, se sentó en el trono con una vista completa, tratando de hacer su negocio. Entonces la percepción puede estar viendo alguien. La solución era utilizar el baño público de abajo para actividades importantes.

El hotel es un hotel muy agradable, y el hotel es muy agradable. La habitación es muy agradable, pero no es muy agradable. Las habitaciones estaban limpias. Y este hotel está a 100 metros de la estación central, por lo que el transporte nunca fue un problema. Definitivamente nos quedaríamos aquí otra vez.

Stayed there for 9 nights, only saw the unisex bathrooms get cleaned once and housekeeping came twice. The blankets they give is for the beds are disgusting, there is literally a note saying don’t use the blanket without the flat sheet as ‘do you really want the blanket on your skin from the last person…ew’ so they clearly never wash them which is so gross!! Didn’t even want to touch it and left it on the floor the whole stay!! Kitchen too small for the whole hostel and not well equipped, bathrooms were so unhygienic and always stunk, do not agree with having unisex bathrooms in a hostel, especially for girls as I couldn’t change in the room as had no privacy and so the only option was to change in dirty shower cubicles Only good thing about this hostel is the common area which has a tv you can use Wouldn’t stay again in a hurry
