This hotel really redefines what high quality service at luxury hotels should be - personable, friendly, attentive, and professional. The staff are eager to be helpful, are extremely communicative and responsive via WeChat, and cater to your every needs. My impression before I arrived was already a positive one because they helped me arrange two packages to be sent in advance to the hotel. They even let me use their contact details as the contact number to make the order as I did not have a local phone number. Upon arrival, the packages were waiting for us and housekeeping took away the leftover packaging. They also offer a free laundry service and I cannot emphasise how soft and nice smelling our clothes were when we received our freshly laundered clothes. The bathroom amenities are the luxury brand Le Labo and the water provided is the mineral water brand Evian. Of course they also have Dyson hair dryers. The daily breakfasts are truly decadent with abalone on our first morning and Angus sirloin on our second morning. We can order seconds of any of the dishes we liked. Fruit juices are freshly made. The barista even made takeaway drinks for us to enjoy on our outings. Afternoon tea and evening soups are also provided and guests can choose what time they would like it to be served and where (for example, hotel room or hotel lounge). They even prepared cold milk for us to soothe us after we returned from dinner eating some local spicy Changsha chicken. Truly outstanding service! One of the things that sets this hotel apart from any other we have stayed at are the afternoon activities they offer to their guests. On our second day we enjoyed a Cloisonné enamel class in the hotel and we will certainly be displaying the fruits of our hard work in our home when we return home. All the materials were provided to us and one of the lovely staff provided instructions and was extremely patient with us despite the language barrier. Such unique experiences on offer each day really make the stay so enjoyable for guests. I can understand why this hotel was won so many accolades. The staff really have earnt this award. It is thanks to their dedication that this hotel has earnt such a prestigious reputation. It is genuinely worth every penny! I am not sure when we will return to Changsha but it is exciting to know that the hotel does have another branch in Chengdu which we will be keen to visit, perhaps next year. All I can say is that I will always have fond memories of this hotel and particularly its staff and this hotel has certainly set the bar high for outstanding service.

My recent two-night stay at The Jewel Hidden Valley was nothing short of wonderful. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this serene and culturally rich retreat provided the perfect escape. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel right at home. A special mention goes to ”Julie” and ”Zhang Kai Yi” (if I remember correctly), who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Despite the rain, they selflessly helped us with our luggage all the way to our villa—a gesture that truly touched us. Zhang even took the time to personally walk us to the Tong Guan Kiln, which was about 8 minutes away, sharing interesting insights along the way. Their kindness and attentiveness were truly impressive. The hotel’s design and layout are stunning, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings while maintaining a luxurious feel. Our villa was spacious, well-appointed, and immaculately clean, with high-quality amenities and toiletries that added to the comfort. Breakfast was another highlight—the spread was extensive, offering a variety of delicious options that catered to different tastes. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, making it a great start to our days. Overall, The Jewel Hidden Valley exceeded my expectations in every way. The peaceful ambiance, outstanding service, and attention to detail make it a hidden gem worth revisiting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a quiet, culturally immersive getaway!

Hotel de gran escala con una atmósfera china fuerte. Lindas, espaciosas y funcionales habitaciones con buenas camas y comodidades. El desayuno muy bueno y variado se ha entregado en el cuarto. La ubicación es buena, cerca del metro, si necesitas estar alrededor de Meixihu. No podía ver el spa ni el gimnasio.

I ordered food late at night and there was no robot to deliver it to the room, so I called the front desk if they could bring it to the room. They refused and told me to get it myself. After going to the lobby I see the receptionist talking to the assistant, both of them are clearly not busy. Sure, I can get the food myself but when I'm paying the price for an Intercontinental hotel I would expect top tier service. And I've had hotel assitants bring the food to my room in chinese hotels that costs less than half the price of this one. Besides that, the hotel looked nice, and the room was good. The location is not really great if you plan to walk anywhere, but with a taxi it's acceptable. The view is pretty good if your room is facing south. Facing north (even with river view) it's not that spectacular.

We just had a fantastic family vacation celebrating my wife’s birthday in Changsha, and staying at the Oryard Hotel Changsha Juzhou was a wonderful decision. We checked in on May 22, 2026, and checked out on May 25, 2026. I can easily provide 5+ star comments without hesitation. The hotel is very new and has a grand and clean overall impression. The river view from the hotel is magnificent. All the facilities are advanced. The room is spacious, and I love the modern Chinese style design. What really impressed me was the service? Both the front desk and the restaurant staff can provide proactive services. For example, I had a little cough during my breakfast, and the restaurant manager provided me with some food and drink that could comfort my coughing. All the restaurant staff were well-trained and offered excellent service during our breakfast time. The butler service was amazing too, which made my wife’s birthday celebration memorable. My wife and daughter were extremely impressed. Also, the gym and swimming pool were clean and comfortable. Finally, this is the first time I’ve enjoyed writing comments after my hotel stay. I was extremely happy to recognize the team at the Oryard Hotel Changsha Juzhou. I believe the leadership and management of the hotel have spent tremendous efforts in training, as this level of service is difficult to achieve. We are also thinking of visiting Zhangjiajie during the winter holidays. We will obviously stay at the Oryard Hotel Changsha and are looking forward to coming back.

La habitación era espaciosa, ordenada y limpia. La ropa de cama muy cómoda. Desde la habitación con vistas al río se puede contemplar un hermoso paisaje nocturno. La recepción me dio un ascenso de categoría gratuito a una habitación con vistas al río cuando estuvo disponible. Por las noches, era excepcionalmente tranquilo. Todos los botones eran muy amables y el personal de recepción tenía una excelente actitud de servicio. La próxima vez que viaje, volveré a elegir este lugar.

I want to dedicate this review exclusively to Dora, one of the staff members who served us during our nine-night stay at Kempinski Changsha. Overall, the staff at Kempinski Changsha were very friendly and helpful. However, Dora's service stood out in a special way. Her friendliness, initiative, and warm smile made a lasting impression on us. She consistently paid attention to our needs and requests, always striving to ensure our comfort. Dora went above and beyond to fulfill what we needed during our stay. When we were in the executive lounge, Dora also took the initiative to make me a cocktail, but I wanted a mocktail, and she said that she could arrange it for me, and the taste of Dora's mocktail was very delicious, one named it Sweet Strawberry and the other one is Orange! When we stay at hotels, we usually spend little time in the executive lounge and prefer relaxing in our room. However, thanks to Dora's exceptional service, we felt completely comfortable and ended up staying in the executive lounge for a longer time! Every 5-star hotel offers a distinct room atmosphere, but the quality of service from the staff, like Dora, ultimately influences our decision to return to this hotel. As for now, we don’t know when we will go back to Changsha City, but the next time we go back to Changsha, we will definitely choose to stay at Kempinski Changsha again!
