A Truly Memorable Stay at Changbai Mountain Guanyue Folk Custom Hotel 🏨 I traveled all the way from Thailand, and my experience at Changbai Mountain—specifically at the Changbai Mountain Guanyue Folk Custom Hotel—was absolutely unforgettable. Exceptional Service from the Start From the moment I made my reservation, a staff member named Annie provided incredible hospitality. She was enthusiastic and proactive, offering detailed advice on local attractions and how to navigate Changbai Mountain. The seamless service began the moment I arrived at the train station. The hotel provided a pickup service, and the staff greeted me warmly before escorting me directly to the hotel. Personalized Care and Communication Upon arrival, Annie was there to welcome me. She gave me expert advice on how to visit the national park and remained available to assist me throughout my entire stay. If you are worried about the language barrier, don't be! We communicated easily via WeChat and translation apps. She truly looked after me until the very moment I boarded the shuttle back to the train station. Excellence in Every Detail In terms of cleanliness, service, and food, I give this hotel a perfect score of 1,000,000/1,000,000. Everything was flawless.

Lovely escape from the city! As soon as we got there (only 15 minutes away from the train station) we were greeted warmly and offered an upgrade to a villa. The villa was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious every morning and the hotel staff even drove us wherever we needed to go each day. We were lucky and had a very clear view of the lake up on Changbai mountain. I’m glad we chose to stay at this hotel. My children loved the open space, the cats, and the hot tub. Thanks again for your kindness and attention to detail. We hope to be back in the fall.

Los perros les gusta! Sólo el loft tiene frío arriba y no abajo. Acostumbrarse a dormir en la cama suave es muy cómodo. El desayuno también cambia de plato en dos días. Cardillas, tiroteos, y el poeta también es muy interesante. Ir al centro de la ciudad para comer en unos 15 minutos y Tianzhou en una hora y media. Debería tener cuidado de que la carretera nacional que se acerca al hotel está roto muy bien de ambos lados. Hay más de 300 metros de espacio para cargar.

Hotel is very nice & clean. There are hot springs indoor & outdoor pool. Every staff is very nice and helping us a lot. They can’t speak English but they use WeChat to talk to us and help us everything since we booking like booking the bus or send us how to go to railway or How to find the bus. They also help order the food, booking scenic spots tickets, write the sign to help us to get back to hotel went we go out. If we have a chance, we will absolutely come back here.

The location is too remote, and the road to the hotel can be dangerous if you arrive at night. The breakfast buffet is abysmal. The bread is hard, there are no drinks, no proper coffee, and even when there's not enough food, they don't refill it. The breakfast service needs a lot of improvement.

This hotel have spacious service apartments, rooms are big, clean, hotel staff is always helpful. 10 min car ride from chang bai shan railway station. Issues I faced : there is a huge taxi shortage in the city during the peak tourist season, one days even i had to walk 3.3 kilometres in - 15 degrees temperatures to reach to downtown , DIDI and T3 service works here but taxi waiting is normally 40 min to 1 hour long. As a forigner the Hotel location was little odd for me and lots of precious time wasted in taxi waiting, breakfast location is 300 metres far from room, which was not convenient as me and family didn't want to walk in - 20 degree temperature to eat breakfast, I stayed 5 days, but only 2 days I dare to go for breakfast. For stay this place is so good, so clean, warm. There was a bit of hiccup at check-in, and my guess is language barrier might have contributed to it, but eventually it was sorted out, as the booking was already paid via Trip.com. The hotel is not far from the town of Erdaobaihe and Changbaishan high speed railway station, but it's definitely NOT within a walking distance. Taxi or personal driving would have to be arranged. The hotel is big and the lobby is so vast and spacious, but it may be the timing of my visit that is rather empty and quiet. The room is so spacious. I especially love the bed topper; it's so comfortable. Despite the language barrier, the service is wonderful. Although I was a solo guest, they provided a full Chinese breakfast, and it has the best beef dish in China! They have a service that will take you to Changbaishan Visitor Center, north slope entrance, and you may return by taxi. Overall, despite a minor setback in the beginning, I'm impressed!

Hotel staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. Hotel was empty when we (family of 4) arrived. We were not aware of an on-going fire drill and because of on-going construction, we mistakenly thought the hotel was closed. Hotel staff appeared as we were about to leave to make other arrangements. The hotel manager provided us with a translator and profusely apologized for the miscommunication . Rooms were exceptionally clean and breakfast exceptionally good. Location was ideal...close to the hi-speed railway station and downtown. We give this hotel and staff 5 out of 5 stars.

Hotel hot spring area was fun for both kids and adults. There were Many Chinese tourists buses and groups so in the lobby, breakfast, elevator and hot spring areas it was very noisy. And smelt cigarettes in the nonsmoking areas. It was challenging for non Chinese speakers including reception.
