This old dog picked this place as a first-timer to Changbaishan because on paper it reads like a dream:
✔️ 5-minute walk to the Changbai Mountain VIP entrance
✔️ Hot springs inside the compound
✔️ “Eco-exchange” — which I later learned refers to exchanging comfort for character development
Location? Prime marrow bone. 🦴
Reality, however, is a scenic winter obstacle course.
The hotel is thoughtfully scattered across three separate buildings — one for check-in and breakfast, another for hot springs, and because suspense is important in life, the Food Plaza lives in yet another building.
In winter.
On ice.
With wind that slaps.
Not exactly age-old-dog friendly. I waddled. I shuffled. I negotiated with my knees. At one point I believe my soul lagged behind and had to catch up.
To offset this Arctic triathlon, the staff are available 24/7 on WeChat, responding faster than I can type “why did I choose this hotel?” Efficiency deserves a respectful tail wag. 🐾
Now let’s talk Food Plaza, the hotel’s redemption arc.
The food is genuinely scrumptious, warming, and emotionally supportive after being bullied by Changbai winds. Takeaway is allowed — which means you carry it yourself. Eco-exchange again. This dog fetches his own dinner. 🥸
Then there’s the hot spring schedule.

When the mountain is closed
and the hot spring is closed
what exactly is an old dog meant to do?
Stare into the snow?
Question life decisions?
Age visibly?
Ah yes — write this review. ✔️
⚠️ Now, the bone that refuses to go down smoothly.
Despite having a relaxed stay, I felt continuously pressed for a 5-star review — on departure day from the first meeting in the lobby to gentle reminders all the way up the bus.
At that point, it stopped feeling like hospitality and started feeling like an exam I didn’t sign up for.
It made me sad, actually — because it suggests staff performance may be chained to guest reviews like sled dogs pulling corporate KPIs.
Trip.com, if you’re listening:
no guest should ever be pressured to review.
The moment reviews are pushed, ratings stop being honest and start being decorative.
This old dog is an independent reviewer.
I don’t bark on command.
I don’t roll over for stars.
And the harder the push, the more my paw hovers over the lowest rating out of pure principle.
Still — despite the ice, the walking, the soul-searching — the location alone makes this a smart base for Changbaishan first-timers.
Just come prepared with:
• good boots
• strong knees
• emotional resilience
• and the confidence to say, “I will rate when I’m ready.”

22Yann3I had an amazing stay at Floral Baihe. The entire place is exceptionally clean, and the location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk to plenty of restaurants. The surroundings are peaceful and serene, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff ( especially 韩丹) were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful, which made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

LlilsheepNewly built, and nice hotel. Has great self-service laundry and nice gym. Located in Erdaobaihe Town, the hotel is a bit further outskirts so not within walking distance to the Cloud Market but everything is only a 10 min taxi/didi ride away. Also provides free pickup from the high-speed railway station (Changbaishan Station), which is also only 10 mins away.
We got the big family room which was great for 2 adults and 2 small kids.
Breakfast is a decent mix of local and western staples, even some local honey and yogurt. just don't eat the cereal.

MMind KatechooThe room is so so cute. It was a really nice and comfortable stay. The room has all that one needs and it’s practical and functional. The beddings are clean and comfortable. The design is well thought out. I enjoy spending time there. Tianchi was not open the whole time I was there so I spent a bit more time in the room and it’s nice! The owner and family are very friendly and helpful as well. They help as much as they can even though I asked so many questions. They’re quite attentive to their guests. I was a bit down because of Tianchi but they made it a good time nonethelss! I bought breakfast separately for the days I want to eat and they have nice sets of breakfast. There is a washing machine and a dryer and they’re quite busy. Still, it’s very convenient. The location is in walking distance to the Reindeer park, duck park, and distribution center too. So that’s a plus. It’s about 1-1.5 km away from the busy streets and the food. If you can’t hail a ride, it’s still possible to walk (though it’s very cold). It was a lovely stay and I loved the place!

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to Zhongyang Street, near a famous ice cream shop and a tasty mala sausage stall. The area at the end of Zhongyang Street is beautiful and less crowded. I would stay here again.

- ในส่วนของการบริการอาหารที่นี่มีแม่ครัวที่ทำอาหารอร่อยมาก ถ้ามาสามารถลองสั่งเมนูไก่ตุ๋นเห็ดมาลองทานกันได้ มีรสชาติหวาน มัน มีกลิ่นสมุนไพร แต่ไม่เลี่ยน รวมไปถึงที่พักมีคาเฟ่ชานมสำหรับคนที่อยากดื่มด้วยเช่นกัน
- ในด้านของการบริการ ที่นี่บริการดีมากกกก เราสามารถปล่อยสมองมาแล้วให้เจ้าของโรงแรมช่วยเลือกให้ได้เลยว่าจะไปกิจกรรมไหนดี จะมีรถไปรับไปส่ง โดยส่วนมากใช้เวลาไม่นาน(ถ้าไม่ได้ไปเทียนฉี เพราะโรงแรมค่อนข้างอยู่ใกล้พื้นที่กิจกรรมเลย)

1) ชมกวาง - เดินไปจากรรเลย ใกล้ๆมีน้องกวางอยู่สองตัวน่ารักมากกก
2) ล่องแก่ง - วิวสวยยย แถมตอนถึงปลายน้ำมาลงตรงบริเวณโรงแรมพอดีเล่นเสร็จขึ้นโรงแรมได้เลย
3) เล่นสกี - ทางโรงแรมมีอุปกรณ์พื้นฐานให้ทำให้ไม่ต้องเช่าเพิ่มเยอะ(เช่นเสื้อ กางเกงกันลม ตุ๊กตาเต่าที่ใช้เป็นเซฟตี้น่ารักมากกก)
4) ตกปลา - ที่ลานกิจกรรมมีคุณลุงมาคอยสอนวิธี
ตกปลา ตกมาได้เกิน10ตัวเลย หลังจากตกเสร็จสามารถนำมาย่างกิน เค้าจะโรยผงอะไรไม่รู้แต่อร่อยมาก อร่อยจนแสงออกปาก ต้องลอง ที่ลานกิจกรรมจะมีพวกหม้อชาบู หม้อกะทะร้อนขายอยู่ด้วย
5) คาเฟ่ร้านชา - ร้านชามีขนมเป็นเซต ส่วนชามีทั้งแบบชานม และชาจีนร้อน อันนี้ก็อร่อยมากเหมือนกันอยากให้ลองมาทาน
พนักงานที่นี่ดูแลดีมากๆๆ มาเที่ยวกันเยอะๆนะ ใครมาแถวฮาบินลองแวะมาฉางไป๋ซานดูได้ ราคาไม่แพงเลย กิจกรรมแน่น

SSH.1The first visit to this hotel was full of warmth and overwhelming hospitality. I still can't forget how they welcomed us the moment we arrived at the hotel.
Firstly, we were overwhelmed by the staff
during our arrival. They all came out to greet us and help with our luggages and belongings all the way in to the hotel.
Secondly, with the seamless check in to our rooms and fruit platter, every gesture was well thought by the hosts.
Thirdly, they prepared a sumptuous dinner for us. Simple local delicacies yet tasted really good. The number of ginsengs in the appetiser surprised us! From the portion to the presentation of food, we can taste the difference and feel they put in their heart to make everything better. Lady boss was generous to treat us a bottle of local rice wine during our mealtime. Tasted really good and special! We like that drink!!
Additionally, we were asked for timing to eat breakfast and they would prepare that before our specific timing. They even asked us for our preference and customise breakfast for us. Breakfast was served and tasted as good as dinner! Freshly prepared and done meticulously by the kitchen.
Lastly, lady boss gave us an impromptu complimentary tea session after dinner. A unique and interesting experience indeed. Never seen and tried it before. It's a heating device with net on it, put the heating pot for stirring and cooking our own tea from scratch. Meanwhile, we have the finger snacks and nuts to roast on the heating rack (as shown in the pictures) while waiting for our tea.
In between, they would guide us how to prepare the tea. It was a chill and relaxing session. We enjoyed chit chatting while roasting our tea in the cafe. It felt so warmth especially when it was snowing heavily outside. The vibes were superb!
I had many enquiries and the lady at the counter helped me out a lot without hesitation. She tried all her means to help us. The lady at the hot spring was very friendly and provide good services too!
The staff from the hot spring, restaurant, concierge, driver and even lady boss all were very attentive, friendly and nice at any point of time during our stay. Pretty impressive indeed. Giving all credits to every single staff. Amazing team!
They gave us more than we could ever imagined from services to food to hospitality. Thank you for giving us an amazing and memorable stay! Overall it was a great and enjoyable stay at this hotel. Definitely recommend everyone to visit them and feel their positive energy. Certainly can't wait for our next visit to Chang Bai Shan again!!!

We booked the Gyegok trekking through Trip.com, but as foreigners, we had trouble communicating with the trekking company. The manager helped us, and we had a wonderful time that will remain a pleasant memory.
If we have the chance to come to Changbai Mountain again, we would definitely choose this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. We are truly grateful for the warm hearts of all the staff.
Also, grilling skewers and enjoying a glass of soju in the hotel parking lot was an unforgettable delight.

The location is perfect for travelers who need easy access to Changbaishan Railway Station, and the park right across the street provides a lovely place for a relaxing stroll. However, the most memorable part of my stay was the outstanding service I received from the moment I checked in. Chen Yuanyuan (陈园园), the hotel staff, was an absolute delight. She is always smiling, polite, and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. From the beginning, she warmly escorted us to our room and took the time to explain all the hotel amenities in detail. Her thoughtfulness did not stop there. She proactively connected with me on WeChat to ensure quick responses to any requests we had. The next morning, she personally reminded us about breakfast and even offered to come to our room to guide us to the restaurant. Her dedication was evident as she stayed until we were seated comfortably in the buffet area. Even after checkout, her exceptional service continued. She presented us with lovely hotel gifts and waited with us until our taxi arrived, ensuring a smooth departure. Chen Yuanyuan’s service attitude is truly commendable. Her attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism set a high standard for hospitality. She is undoubtedly a role model for her peers and a huge asset to the hotel. This experience reinforced my belief that service in China is truly excellent, and it’s because of staff like her that I will definitely return to this hotel on my next trip to Changbaishan in a different season. SSunflower917Here’This resort hotel was the most satisfying stay of our entire 8-day China trip across Harbin, Changbaishan, Xuexiang, and Yabuli. We stayed in a family residence unit, which allowed all of us to live together comfortably under one household.
The resort is extremely clean and well-maintained. Our unit even included a mahjong table and a private hot spring, which made the stay very enjoyable. Although the price is not cheap, it is definitely worth the money.
The butler service was excellent — the staff were attentive and always did their best to accommodate our requests.
Highly recommended. I’m confident you will have a pleasant and memorable stay here.
