«I have stayed at Flamingo Villa before (In the Garden Room), but this time I decided to stay in the loft room, which apparently is called the Family Room. Flamingo Villa is somewhat strange, since the ”Hotel” is basically three rooms within the Samed Your House hotel. Our neighbors actually knocked on our door to try and check in ~ You need to call the phone number for Flamingo Villa in order to check in, as someone will come out to meet you. So, bottom line up front: Flamingo Villa is awesome, but get ready to kill a lot of mosquitos! The owners do a good job of lighting incense sticks to try and keep the them away, but there are fountains around the area and the mosquitos are no joke. I would say I killed at least 10 in our room, so it is super important to make sure you close the sliding doors behind you every time you go in and out of the room.
The Family Room was awesome. The lower floor is basically a living room with a large day bed and a big TV with great speakers. The toilet room is separate from the shower. The stairs to the loft are pretty steep, but once you get up there it is really nice. There are two queen beds in the loft, and the glass wall and sliding door separate the bedroom from the main room, which is great because the bedroom has its own AC unit, and the glass keeps out the mosquitoes. The beds were comfortable, but be careful because the ceiling is very low above the beds. The view from up in the loft is very peaceful, and the owners obviously spent a lot of time decorating the place (The Christmas tree was still up while we were there).
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Sai Kaew Beach, and the pier for the ferry is only a 10 minute walk ~ but you can take a mini bus if you would like. The hotel is close to restaurants and stores, and there are two 7-11s close to the beach. We rented a motor bike the last time we were in Koh Samed, but Sai Kaew Beach seems to be the nicest on the island, so we just hung out there.
I love Flamingo Villa, and I am sure I will stay there again in the future.»

UUsuario invitadoОтличный отель ,расположен можно сказать прямо на пляже .можно босиком дойти от пляжа до домика .Превосходные завтраки ,начиная от фруктов .заканчивая супом .,была в разных бухтах ,эта понравилась больше всех ,очень мало народу,домашняя обстановка .Вечером если захочешь покушать можно пойти рядом в бухту ,там очень много кафе,штук 7,готовят на мангале рыбу ,мясо ,морепродукты .Есть одно замечание,очень громко гудит кондиционер ,и дул прямо в голову,приходилось вешать на него полотенце ,чтоб дуло вниз .,так спасались .Если поеду ,обязательно в этот отель ,может руководство предпримет какие нибудь действия по кондиционеру.

MMcShaneHermosa ubicación. Personal agradable. La comida estaba bien, pero nada especial. Definitivamente regresaría. Vale la pena, excepto que tenga en cuenta el horario del barco hacia la isla. Llamamos al hotel dos veces antes de ir y acordamos con el personal que llegaríamos al muelle de Ban Phe después de las 5 de la tarde, pero cuando llegamos allí nos dijeron que era demasiado tarde para un barco y que tendríamos que organizar otro transporte. ¿Por qué exactamente llamamos para arreglarlo, y por qué diablos aceptarías y luego básicamente nos arruinarías en el último minuto? No es un buen comienzo.

UUsuario invitado¡Este es el hotel más satisfactorio de Tailandia! No quiero irme. La habitación es muy cómoda, hay que desmontar la casa, la habitación es muy limpia, no hay una plancha de pie, la playa privada no es adecuada para nadar, pero puede subir, veo varios guayes de lujo especiales para llevar a la gente a subir aquí, el guay es nadar un diamante para llegar al submarino, recomenda a personas con experiencia, para evitar la herida.
Tres minutos a pie de la playa de diamantes. No es muy conveniente.
Algunos comentarios antes de venir dicen que nadie se apresura, en realidad se puede entender, porque es un solo apresurador, se siente más privado. Los servicios estiman que lamentan venir directamente a la puerta, así que esperan fuera por la mañana, si necesitas apresurarte a abrir la puerta y decirles. Te darán agua para cambiar de cosas, pero no te preocupes por la tarde.
A las seis de la mañana, también se puede ver el sol.

CChris 王墨迪Overall the hotel has certainly fallen over the past 3 years and it’s pretty sad to see this happen, if you’re a single traveler or a couple I would recommend but I couldn’t recommend the hotel to families in its current state.
Management: Great management they listen to complaints, they are responsible and try to solve all issues. Sadly the management don’t have so much to work with these days.
General staff: A large percentage of the staff are Cambodian and living in limbo with the current issues between both countries. With the exception of one or two Cambodian staff most are either depressed and miserable or damn right rude, unhelpful and disrespectful. (The floor manager explained this himself)
Rooms: Nice and simple rooms the do the job but aging fast. The rooms look good but are not high quality materials and it shows the labor and material quality is low and cheap. Showers have virtually no pressure when the hotel is busy and the water won’t reach higher than luke-warm.
Location: I have to say it’s one of the best locations on the island when considering location and facilities and I guess this is their main selling point. They have shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shop and more.
Patrons: Most of the year the majority of visitors are going to be Tha and Asian, they are respectful, they have manners and they will be great to holiday alongside. During Christmas to New Year there were too many rude Europeans especially Swedish tourists, these tourists camped and took over large areas of the bar and restaurants, they moved around furniture, they were rude and disrespectful to other tourists leaving trash noise and mess wherever they visited. (Staff and management ignored)
Note: This used to be a great hotel and I have continuously visited over the past several years. Unfortunately I have begun to see a degradation of the hotel, the attitude towards western tourists (due to poor behavior of westerners) as well as issues related to the diplomatic issues between Cambodia and Thailand. I due hope this improves in the future.
With new staff or new immigration laws as well as new investment into the hotel it could easily thrive once more.

UUsuario invitadoA nice hotel with very helpful staff. Choosing a seaside room on Trip was not clear, we ended up with a room further off the beach than I prefer. Staff moved us to a preferred room, without hassle. The breakfast is suitable for farang if you cannot do spicy. The beach is very clean, as is the water and with a morning tide you can see fish and crabs moving about. The resort is next to a roped off swim area shared by several hotels. A close-by dock serves those who want go on a snorkle trip but I dont know where to sign up for this. You will need a taxi or rent motorcy to get to town but there are two small stores about 5 minute walk if you need snacks, water, etc. There is no ATM nearby and only one on the whole island so have plenty of baht since many places on the island do not accept credit card.
Our only issue was that the pool's PH level was way off and caused a bit of irritation for the boys and I could not, at all, open my eyes underwater. Hopefully this is a one-off event. Otherwise, the staff was exceptional, helped us rent 2 motorcy and had them delivered. The room was cleaned each day, bed was not too hard, and AC worked great. You get a fridge, water, and coffee in room.

The pool was a nice spot to relax with a sea view, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Location is a bit away from the main beach, but easy to reach with a motorbike or taxi. Perfect for couples who want both relaxation and access to the island’s activities.”

La habitación es muy agradable y está muy bien equipada. El pueblo también es un paseo corto (en el camino a la playa; en la misma dirección/la misma carretera), así que hay muchos restaurantes / tiendas / lugares para masajes etc ... También, puede alquilar una moto del resort fácilmente si quieres conducir la isla y ver otras playas. Buen desayuno y buenas piscinas.
