If I could give an infinity rating, I absolutely would. It was a beautiful and very clean stay. The hotel is quite new, and the environment is extremely peaceful. The garden is also very beautiful and well maintained. The classic design made me feel like I had gone back in time. But what truly stood out was the owner and his family—they were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. Even before I arrived, I asked many questions about Chengdu, and he was willing to call me in Malaysia just to explain everything. He also made sure I had a driver and affordable, safe transportation for my trips. He even personally offered to bring us to the national park, halal restaurants, the mosque, and shopping places in Nanping Town, all at a very reasonable price. I was traveling with a baby who is around the same age as Alan’s child. Alan’s parents and family treated my baby so kindly, and they even prepared baby food for my child. Since we are Muslim, they did their best to provide halal food for us. Alan was truly kind and always willing to help with anything. I am very grateful to the hotel owner.

I am not the type of person who usually leaves a review unless I am really impressed. Also, my mom, who traveled and stayed with me at this hotel, told me to give this place a good review and a 5-star rating because of the great experience we had. Even before we arrived, I contacted the hotel to make sure which type of room would fit all of us, and to ask about the weather and what clothes and items we should prepare. We also asked them to make sure that the taxi driver who picked us up from the station was safe and had a work permit. All of our messages were replied to within seconds or minutes. During our stay, they provided a lot of free mineral water bottles, which was very important for us, so we never ran out of water. They also provided very good and complete amenities. On the first night, the floor heater in our room was not working, so they gave us an additional large heater, which made the room very warm and comfortable. They also provided drop off and pick up service to the Jiuzhaigou entrance, which really helped us, so we didn’t need to walk about 800 meters to 1 km in below-zero temperatures. They even helped us book a taxi when we were going back to the station. Although they missed our request for a bigger car (since there were four of us with big luggage), I understand that it was difficult to find that kind of car at that time. The driver who took us — I’m not sure, who he is, but I think he is the boss (since the staff, asked lots of questions to him)— could speak English quite well and understood us even though we spoke broken Chinese. They also gave us a late check out at 3pm Overall, it was a very pleasant experience staying here. They treated us not just as guests or customers, but really cared about making sure we had the best experience while visiting Jiuzhaigou. The only downside of this hotel is that the bathroom is a bit small and there are no hooks to hang towels or clothes. However, this was not a big issue for us at all. I highly recommend everyone to book this hotel.

El dueño fue muy amable. Cuando llegué en moto sobre las 10 de la noche, me cambiaron la habitación de cama doble por una con cama king size. Tenía la cama king size solo para mí, y la habitación era espaciosa y acogedora; me enamoré al instante. La cama era increíblemente cómoda y el desayuno estaba incluido. Nice little hotel at a very popular area. Like many of the other hotels it is in a building nestled between other buildings. Its a 4 storey hotel side by side with other hotels. Windows open up to give you a view of the alley between buildings with the wall of the next building less than 2 meters away. This is good enough for 1-2 nights stay when visiting the Jiuzhaigou park. You can walk to the park entrance which is less than a kilometer away. Room is well kept, clean and warm. Bathroom has ventilation and hot water all the time. The bed and pillows are harder than my usual bed so I did not sleep well. Others might find it just right. Disposable towels are provided which is basically like wiping with a large piece of absorbent paper. This is fine in Autumn and Winter as the water dries off your body quickly. For better self comfort bring your own small towel. They clean the room daily but do not make the bed so as not to touch personal items. There is no lift but the hotel staff will help you to carry your bags to your room. Value for money. For this price cannot expect too much.

Excellent ratio price/quality! The boss is nice and patiently answered all of my questions. However, he cannot help planning trips to Jiuzhaigou valley. He offers free drop-offs and free pickups, which is very convenient. As for the room, it was nice and clean, the bed seemed more comfortable (softer) than average hostel beds in China. The shower is in the same room as the toilet but because the bathroom is big, the toilet doesn’t get wet. I’m a solo traveller, so I was afraid in terms of transportation, but the boss helped me get to the places I wanted to for a low cost. For example, he helped me book a carpool to go from the railway station to his hotel. One of my highlights of this stay is when the boss informed me that there were two restaurants and one convenient store that were one minute away of walk from the hotel. They open at 6 am and the prices are fair, which is very convenient. The restaurant that is more uphill even has a vegetarian section, which I was very grateful for since I don’t eat meat. Oh and there’s no fridge in the hotel.

Jiuzhaigou is a popular tourist destination, so hotels nearby are understandably expensive—especially during holidays. For that reason, I chose to stay a bit farther away, in a hostel instead of a hotel. This hostel recently reopened in 2025, which was one of the reasons I decided to give it a try. While the amenities are new, I noticed that cleanliness could use some improvement. There was visible dust in several corners and hard-to-reach areas, which gave the place a slightly unkempt feel. The bathroom, although newly fitted, also had minor drainage issues—the shower tended to clog a little, possibly due to accumulated hair. The hostel provides a laundry room, which I initially planned to use, but I didn’t feel entirely comfortable with the environment after entering, so I decided not to. They also offer a simple breakfast for an additional fee (around 15 CNY, if I remember correctly). It’s a nice option for travelers who want to grab a quick bite before heading out for hiking or sightseeing in Jiuzhaigou. I noticed that many reviews mentioned the owner as very welcoming and friendly. However, since I arrived late after visiting the Jiuzhaigou scenic area, I didn’t have much interaction with the owner myself. The next morning, I left early for my next destination in Huanglong, so my stay was quite brief. That said, I didn’t experience any discomfort or issues with the service—overall, everything felt perfectly fine. While I don’t expect hostel standards to match those of a hotel, I do believe that cleanliness is the foundation of a good stay. If this aspect improves, I think this place would definitely be worth booking.

The first glimpse I stepped in at this hotel impressed me, the location is very close to Jiuzhaigou entrance, and there are many restaurants and groceries nearby, absolutely convenient. Also, the room when i saw at first was relatively clean. However, things started to get worse, the bathroom, if looked closer, there were no towels provided for feet nor hands, which means after you finished taking a shower, the floor is gonna get wet all over the places, the amenities were so-so, the flush and the shower were loose, they needed to be fixed properly. Moreover, they hanged the hair dryer bag without any hair dryer in it, what for? The room was okay, not fantastic but not terrible. In the morning, i have to get up so early because of the cars and buses pushing horns to each other, i don’t understand why many people here doing this. To me this is rude and harms others while they are sleeping. The internet here is amazing at the first night, very quick and effective, but on the second day it was a dead lack. Overalls, a budget hotel that surrounded by many convenience stores and restaurants, close to Jiuzhaigou, but also comes with noise-pollution. The interiors were not as good as in the pictures, will find another hotel instead.
