UUsuario invitadoWe enjoyed our stay at Doubletree Zhongshan. Location is super convenient. The MTR station is a 5 minute walk and there’s a lot of nice restaurants and shops within a 15-20 minute walking radius. There’s also a park and a fruit stand.

BbabyjobeI love the hotel offer of tub inclusive shower room, giving me the maximum comfort after a long day of touring through taipei! Even further, the hotel offers the bath salt for relaxation that reduces my muscle stress. Moreover, it offers a small baby chair for me to take shower with full convenience! UUsuario invitadoExcellent and very friendly service throughout my entire stay from doorman to concierge to front desk to housekeeping to restaurant to gym. Great location next to Shandao temple MRT and within walking distance to Taipei station, nice restaurants, cafes and the famed Fuhang soy milk. I also enjoyed the excellent lunch buffer at the hotel restaurant Kitchen 12 at incredibly reasonable price. But please note that Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite or higher tier members do not receive the usual executive lounge access or free breakfast if you book via Trip.com (you need to book directly with Marriott to enjoy the benefits).

UUsuario invitadoI recently stayed at Taipei Marriott Hotel and overall had a good experience. The staff were professional, polite, and generally helpful whenever I needed assistance. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a pleasant space to relax. In terms of dining, however, I found that the on-site restaurant options were somewhat limited, especially for longer stays. It would be great to have a wider variety of choices for both local and international cuisine. The hotel’s location is decent, with access to transportation that is acceptable but not exceptionally convenient. It may take a bit of time to reach the main tourist spots or central areas. Facilities such as the lobby and common areas are modern and well-presented. Overall, I would rate this hotel 4 stars and consider staying again, but mainly if I do not rely too much on in-hotel dining.

UUsuario invitado1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Thank you for your attention.

UUsuario invitadoExcelente ubicación, personal amable y comodidades bien pensadas, pero el baño necesita atención. Tuvimos una estancia muy agradable en este hotel y nos encantó. La ubicación es excelente: a un corto paseo de las estaciones de metro y autobús, y a unos 15 minutos a pie de Ximending. Está bastante cerca de la acción, pero aún así es tranquilo por la noche, lo cual fue perfecto para nosotros. También hay varias atracciones para niños cerca, lo que hizo que desplazarse con nuestro hijo fuera fácil y agradable. El hotel ofrece un servicio de transporte gratuito, lo cual es muy práctico, aunque sería aún mejor si comenzara antes y fuera más frecuente. Uno de los momentos más destacados de nuestra estancia fue la visita guiada gratuita. ¡Nuestra guía fue increíble! Hablaba inglés con fluidez, estaba muy bien informada e hizo que la experiencia fuera realmente memorable. Otro detalle encantador es el rincón de aperitivos clásicos, gratuito para los huéspedes. Es un toque nostálgico y divertido. No está disponible las 24 horas (a diferencia de otro hotel en el que nos alojamos en Taiwán), pero como forma parte de la zona de restaurantes, sigue su horario de apertura, lo cual es comprensible. El personal merece un elogio especial: siempre fueron serviciales, proactivos y amables. Desde el registro hasta las interacciones diarias, todos nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y bien atendidos. Las habitaciones han sido renovadas recientemente y tienen un aspecto fresco y moderno. Agradecí especialmente el cambio de moqueta a suelos duros; se siente mucho más limpio e higiénico. La habitación en sí es espaciosa, con amplios armarios, y la distribución está bien pensada, especialmente para familias. Sin embargo, el diseño del baño podría mejorar. Si bien me gustó la idea de tener una bañera en la zona de la ducha, ideal para que los niños disfruten de un baño sin salpicar, el diseño de la bañera no era muy adecuado para familias. Es una bañera de estilo japonés, con azulejos y bordes afilados, y me arañé varias veces. No se siente seguro para niños pequeños. El estante y el cubo de madera también tenían moho visible, y también estaba empezando a aparecer moho alrededor de los bordes de la bañera. Esto fue decepcionante, sobre todo porque mi hijo tiene piel sensible y le salió un sarpullido después de usar la bañera. A pesar de los problemas con el baño, tuvimos una excelente experiencia en general. Recomiendo este hotel por su conveniente ubicación, la amabilidad del personal, la atención al detalle y sus características ideales para familias; solo tengan cuidado con la bañera si viajan con niños pequeños o personas con piel sensible.

Good to put luggage if you don’t like the luggage on the floor. Big TV maybe 50” Bed is very comfortable and all the towels are pretty reasonably new. not old/worn out. Standalone desktop speaker box/alarm clock. Provide room sandals, kettle fridge and safe. Tea and coffee bag - good quality Toiletries good quality. Modern toilet design. Toilet installed with biget seat with (warmer) Convenient location. Can walk to Nanjing fuxing mrt. Lots of local eateries if you are into local food. Nearest 7 seven is at the traffic corner. Bakery, cafes and nearby morning market. Overall very comfortable stay and reasonably priced with the condition of hotel itself and the amenities. It is a laid back environment facing an old school, apparently not in use. Quiet ambience.

El exterior del hotel parece nuevo, pero el interior de las habitaciones está un poco anticuado, no como esas modernas habitaciones de 4 estrellas que se ven ahora y que cuestan el doble. El aire acondicionado no enfría tanto; el personal necesita ajustes. Solo se puede duchar en la bañera; es bastante complicado entrar y salir, y hay que tener cuidado de no resbalarse. En general, le doy un 4/5.

Very near to hot spring valley, and can walk to the museum and library. Around 15 mins walk (1km) to Carrefour Supermarket and Metro Station. We had a relax two nights stay here.
