The Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou** underwent a renovation and upgrade in 2022, retaining some elements of Jiangnan-style gardens while blending in modern design. The overall aesthetic reflects a contemporary Chinese style, with partial preservation of traditional garden landscapes such as water features and pavilions. My stay at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove was quite satisfying overall. What I loved most was the breakfast here—the hotel offers a wide variety of high-quality options, from Chinese dim sum and Suzhou-style local delicacies to Western dishes, all meticulously prepared and exceptionally flavorful. The richness and refinement of the breakfast spread could even rival that of top-tier five-star hotels in Shanghai, providing guests with a premium dining experience. The selection was diverse, and every item was perfectly executed. The freshly made Suzhou-style noodle soup had a delicious broth, while the eggs Benedict from the Western breakfast station were authentically prepared. The fruit section featured fresh seasonal choices daily, making it enjoyable even after several days of dining there. The service attitude of the staff was truly commendable. The front desk handled check-in efficiently, and room service was quick to respond. Most of the hotel employees were young and eager to assist guests. Rachel added me on WeChat, so whenever I had any room requests, I could simply message her before heading out—very convenient and thoughtful service! The room itself was moderately sized with a practical layout, comfortable bedding, and well-scented amenities. The bathroom had strong water pressure, and the housekeeping staff kept everything spotless daily. The hotel’s location was convenient, within walking distance to several major attractions. The public areas were well-maintained, clean, and cozy—especially the lobby lounge, which was perfect for waiting or getting some work done. While it may not be the kind of jaw-dropping luxury experience, the fact that every aspect was executed flawlessly, paired with attentive and considerate service, makes it a hotel I’d gladly choose again. Thanks to all the staff for their dedicated service!

El personal de recepción fue muy amable. El hotel ofrece refrigerios y café de cortesía. La ubicación es excelente, muy cerca de la calle Guanqian y la avenida Pingjiang, con una estación de metro justo en la intersección, lo que facilita mucho los desplazamientos. Sin duda, volveré a hospedarme aquí.

The hotel is Ping Jiang Road, right next to the river which offers easy access to the shopping area. You can easily find eateries within walking distance as well. Just note that because of the fact it is located the river where cars typically can't get to, you would likely need to alight at the main road and walk about 5mins in to the hotel. Might not be suitable for groups with small children, huge luggages or elderly. The hotel itself is super charming. First, you will be greeted by warm and friendly staff who are more than happy to help you with luggages or provide tips for the area. There is no elevators so you would need to carry your luggages to rooms on the 2F or 3F, ( the staff helped me with mine). Room is very clean and fittings are all new. Toilet is new as well with automated flush. The toilet/bathroom doors are translucent however. You can't see what the person is doing inside but the light passes through so might not be a good idea to share the room with someone else if they are sensitive to light especially at night. Otherwise, everything else is perfect at this location.

El hotel también ofrece un servicio de transporte gratuito a las atracciones turísticas, lo cual es muy considerado. El día del check-in, el empleado Xiao He fue muy amable al gestionar el cambio de habitación, muchas gracias. Ahora, los puntos débiles: el desayuno era normal; lo sirvieron tibio, lo que me hizo sospechar que lo habían preparado con antelación y luego recalentado. La ropa de cama no parecía cambiarse después de cada huésped; podía oler ligeramente a tierra y a aceite de pelo en las almohadas. En general, fue aceptable.

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket. 

Ubicación perfecta, a 1 minuto andando de una estación de metro. Además, se encuentra a 10/15 minutos andando de algunas de las atracciones turísticas de la ciudad. Al encontrarse en uno de los centros neurálgicos, tiene de todo muy cerca (tiendas de conveniencia,puestos de comida, restaurantes, etc...) El hotel en general es impecable: Gran limpieza, habitaciones impresionantes y calidad buenísima por el precio ofrecido. El ambiente del hotel, con un parecido a una zona tradicional Japonesa, es innegablemente atractivo. El desayuno es delicioso, con gran variedad y algunas cosas que normalmente no encuentras en un buffet como serían mochi frescos a diario. En resumen: Si estás dispuesto a pagar un poquito más que la mayoría de hoteles de la ciudad pero sin irte de presupuesto y quieres una experiencia de lujo, cuidada al detalle y con una calidad espectacular, este es tu hotel.

Nos alojamos una noche en este encantador hotel un domingo. Logramos registrarnos temprano, a la 1 pm, y nos dieron una habitación superior de la habitación king de 30 m² que habíamos reservado, a una más grande de 41 m². La habitación es nueva y cuenta con excelentes artículos de baño de una marca australiana. Nuestra estancia incluía una cena para dos personas y la comida estaba deliciosa. Los precios en el restaurante del hotel son similares o incluso más baratos que en cualquier otro restaurante chino. Al día siguiente, a la hora del almuerzo, volvimos a comer comida china en el hotel, ya que el ambiente del restaurante es agradable y el servicio es bueno. Tienen un gimnasio muy bien equipado que, lamentablemente, no tuvimos tiempo de usar durante nuestra estancia de 24 horas. La tarifa de la habitación incluía el desayuno, que era abundante; el único inconveniente es que los granos de café que usan son demasiado ácidos, pero eso es cuestión de gustos. La ubicación del hotel está ligeramente a un lado del casco antiguo de Suzhou, pero algunos lugares de interés, como el 网师园, están a poca distancia a pie. La ciudad de Suzhou es bastante extensa, por lo que no hay una zona que sea la mejor para hacer turismo. Lo bueno es que didi solo cuesta menos de 10 RMB por viaje desde este hotel, por lo que sigue siendo muy conveniente. No me molestaría en coger el metro de Suzhou, no es tan cómodo como el de Shanghai. Ah, sí, la televisión por cable tiene programación en inglés, lo cual está bien para un hotel en China. Creo que esta marca Artyzen Habitat está gestionada por el grupo Macau Shun Tak. Me alojaré aquí de nuevo por una buena relación calidad-precio y servicio. 这个酒店非常好，值得回来再住。五星级的设施，四星级的价钱。

El hotel está situado en la calle Ping Jiang. Tiene una buena ubicación, pero no es muy agradable si llevas mucho equipaje. No se puede conducir en coche, hay que caminar unos 200-300 metros desde la calle principal. El hotel está situado en el segundo piso. Tenemos que llevar nuestro equipaje. La experiencia gratuita de Han Fu es solo de 2 horas. Es necesario reservar con antelación. El restaurante del hotel no sirve comida. Es necesario reservar con antelación. Estuvimos atrapados en el hotel durante un día entero debido al tifón. ​​No hay mucho que hacer en la pequeña habitación. Y no sirven comida a pesar de que no podemos salir. No fue una experiencia muy agradable.

El entorno es elegante, la habitación es limpia y cómoda, el servicio es intimidad y los detalles del hotel de apartamentos Zhou están en posición, la higiene limpia, las instalaciones están modernizadas, el servicio de recepción es una experiencia de estadía muy satisfactoria! El entorno está tranquilo, el diseño de la habitación está en moda, el equipo está completo, la actitud de servicio es amigable, el precio es muy alto, se recomienda enérgicamente a los amigos!
