Our best stay in our Shanghai and Suzhou Hangzhou trip! Booked a family room here for our two days one night stay nearby 周庄。 the lady boss is very very very helpful and friendly. They help us with our luggage, show us where to have our meal, and help us with the entrance tix as well. The bedroom is very very clean, and this Airbnb is just 3mins walk away from 周庄. I can tell that the lady boss really loves what she is doing, welcome all the guest with warm and smile. She welcomed us with some snacks and fruits, When we left, she gave us some biscuit and help us with the luggage again. Will definitely go back and share with my friends if they are going to 周庄

We had a wonderful 2 nights in this family-run hotel. The host was extremely kind, friendly and helpful; he made us feel completely at home, and even gave us two delicious homemade ‘lard cakes’ to take with us because we’d enjoyed them so much at breakfast one morning! The rooms are lovely - spacious, very light, bright and private. Really nice interior design. Ours was on the top floor with a roof top deck and great views over the lake and village. The bed was very comfortable with fresh, clean linen and towels. There’s a kettle on the room but you need to bring your own tea or coffee. That said, tea and hot water were available 24-hours a day downstairs. The meals in the hotel restaurant were delicious and fresh; they’re cooked onsite with ingredients that are caught or grown on the island, and are very good value. We ate breakfast (included) both mornings and dinner on our first night. We felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again if we came back. The main thing to note is that the host (and very few people on the island) speak English, so having some Chinese definitely helps! But we felt very welcome at all times, even when our language skills reached their limits!

El ambiente general del hotel es bueno, las habitaciones están una al lado de la otra, pero el efecto de aislamiento acústico es bueno. La propietaria enviará mensajes de texto cuidadosamente para recordarles a todos el tiempo de descanso y tener cuidado de no molestarse, es muy tranquilo. A 50 metros al lado de este hotel se encuentra mi propio restaurante, el ambiente del restaurante también es muy elegante, lo cual es muy bueno para un B&B. Fuera de la ventana, se pueden ver las fuertes características arquitectónicas de las dinastías Ming y Qing. Desayuno🈶 Los fideos Aozao gratis nos proporcionaron aderezos de verduras encurtidas y carne de cerdo desmenuzada, que era perfecto para la familia.

Este viaje es con mis amigos, un grupo de viajeros muy exigentes con el alojamiento y con altas expectativas. Este hotel realmente superó todas las expectativas: tecnología de punta y excelentes servicios. Un ambiente agradable, muy recomendable.

The Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou** underwent a renovation and upgrade in 2022, retaining some elements of Jiangnan-style gardens while blending in modern design. The overall aesthetic reflects a contemporary Chinese style, with partial preservation of traditional garden landscapes such as water features and pavilions. My stay at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove was quite satisfying overall. What I loved most was the breakfast here—the hotel offers a wide variety of high-quality options, from Chinese dim sum and Suzhou-style local delicacies to Western dishes, all meticulously prepared and exceptionally flavorful. The richness and refinement of the breakfast spread could even rival that of top-tier five-star hotels in Shanghai, providing guests with a premium dining experience. The selection was diverse, and every item was perfectly executed. The freshly made Suzhou-style noodle soup had a delicious broth, while the eggs Benedict from the Western breakfast station were authentically prepared. The fruit section featured fresh seasonal choices daily, making it enjoyable even after several days of dining there. The service attitude of the staff was truly commendable. The front desk handled check-in efficiently, and room service was quick to respond. Most of the hotel employees were young and eager to assist guests. Rachel added me on WeChat, so whenever I had any room requests, I could simply message her before heading out—very convenient and thoughtful service! The room itself was moderately sized with a practical layout, comfortable bedding, and well-scented amenities. The bathroom had strong water pressure, and the housekeeping staff kept everything spotless daily. The hotel’s location was convenient, within walking distance to several major attractions. The public areas were well-maintained, clean, and cozy—especially the lobby lounge, which was perfect for waiting or getting some work done. While it may not be the kind of jaw-dropping luxury experience, the fact that every aspect was executed flawlessly, paired with attentive and considerate service, makes it a hotel I’d gladly choose again. Thanks to all the staff for their dedicated service!

Está situado en pleno centro del casco antiguo, con fácil acceso a los restaurantes, tiendas y puentes por los que este pueblo fluvial es famoso. Los dueños fueron muy atentos conmigo. No les supuso ninguna molestia. Me acompañaron personalmente a la calle principal, a las afueras del casco antiguo, para solucionar un problema técnico con mi portátil y llevaron mi equipaje hasta la entrada del pueblo a mi partida. Gracias por su excelente servicio. Recomiendo sin duda su alojamiento.

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket. 

La ubicación es excelente, ya que se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad, con un río cerca. Las vistas son impresionantes, especialmente la nocturna. Sin embargo, muchos servicios necesitan mejorarse. 1. Es necesario avisar a los clientes que no se permite el acceso a taxis o vehículos de pago a la entrada del hotel cuando el cliente ha hecho la reserva. 2. Solo hay escaleras en la entrada. No hay rampa. Realmente no es conveniente para personas mayores ni para quienes necesitan ayuda. Por ejemplo, es arriesgado para una persona mayor llevar maletas a mano. 5. El servicio de limpieza no está a la altura. No cambian la alfombra frente a las duchas a diario. Aunque se lo recordé a la recepcionista, el resultado es el mismo; es decir, no cambió para nosotros. 4. Es necesario reforzar la seguridad. Encontramos algunos visitantes que no eran huéspedes de la habitación caminando por el área de la habitación.

Una pareja pasó dos días en Suzhou, el último día de las vacaciones del Festival Qingming, explorando el casco antiguo. Eligieron este pequeño hotel tipo B&B cerca de Pingjiang Road. El hotel está cerca de atracciones del casco antiguo como el Jardín del Administrador Humilde, el Bosque de los Leones y Pingjiang Road. El personal, amable y atento, fue muy amable y atento. La habitación estaba limpia y ordenada, con un baño de buen tamaño y una ducha cómoda. Estaba bien equipada con todas las comodidades básicas, aunque no tenía nevera. Sin embargo, si necesita mantener los alimentos refrigerados durante las altas temperaturas, el hotel dispone de una nevera en el restaurante. Para vehículos autónomos, hay un aparcamiento público cercano, pero solo se requiere una entrada y salida al día, lo cual fue un poco incómodo y un pequeño inconveniente. El desayuno diario es un menú del día con buena variedad y buen sabor. En resumen, vale la pena alojarse en este hotel y es muy recomendable por su precio.

This is a condo studio apartment. The location is good and convenient with shopping malls and restaurants around. You are spoilt for choices for food. On the apartment itself, the room is big and spacious. The service is remote through Wechat. If you need anything, you have to call or message your request so that the cleaning staff can bring to you the following day. The cleaning staff only works in the morning before 12pm. So any request after 12pm will have to be attended to the following morning. The lady boss is very patient and helpful on Wechat though. So it goes both ways for the guests to be patient with the staff as well. The heater storage tank is small so you have to take quick showers. Otherwise you will bathe with cold water in the later part of the long shower. The fridge is not very cold despite turning up the fan speed to the maximum.
