The hotel is thoughtfully scattered across three separate buildings — one for check-in and breakfast, another for hot springs, and because suspense is important in life, the Food Plaza lives in yet another building. In winter. On ice. With wind that slaps. Not exactly age-old-dog friendly. I waddled. I shuffled. I negotiated with my knees. At one point I believe my soul lagged behind and had to catch up. To offset this Arctic triathlon, the staff are available 24/7 on WeChat, responding faster than I can type “why did I choose this hotel?” Efficiency deserves a respectful tail wag. 🐾 Now let’s talk Food Plaza, the hotel’s redemption arc. The food is genuinely scrumptious, warming, and emotionally supportive after being bullied by Changbai winds. Takeaway is allowed — which means you carry it yourself. Eco-exchange again. This dog fetches his own dinner. 🥸 Then there’s the hot spring schedule. Opens at 13:30. When the mountain is closed and the hot spring is closed what exactly is an old dog meant to do? Stare into the snow? Question life decisions? Age visibly? Ah yes — write this review. ✔️ ⚠️ Now, the bone that refuses to go down smoothly. Despite having a relaxed stay, I felt continuously pressed for a 5-star review — on departure day from the first meeting in the lobby to gentle reminders all the way up the bus. At that point, it stopped feeling like hospitality and started feeling like an exam I didn’t sign up for. It made me sad, actually — because it suggests staff performance may be chained to guest reviews like sled dogs pulling corporate KPIs. Trip.com, if you’re listening: no guest should ever be pressured to review. The moment reviews are pushed, ratings stop being honest and start being decorative. I had a wonderful stay at Changbaishan Hailinyuan Fashion Hotel! The hotel is very affordable, making it a great option for budget travelers without compromising on comfort. What really stood out was the owner’s incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the owner went out of their way to make our stay easy and enjoyable. They provided transport from Changbaishan Station to the hotel and even offered to take us to local attractions at no extra charge, which made exploring the area so much easier. The photos below show the owner fetching us to the attractions, which was such a thoughtful touch! The hotel is located right in town, so it’s very convenient. There are many food options nearby, as well as a convenience store, which made grabbing snacks or essentials very easy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall environment of the hotel was welcoming and cozy. The owner is truly a kind and thoughtful person, always ready to help and ensure guests have a smooth and pleasant stay. I felt really looked after throughout our visit. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly hotel with excellent service, a convenient location, and a personal touch, I highly recommend Changbaishan Hailinyuan Fashion Hotel. The combination of affordability, hospitality, and convenience makes it an outstanding choice for anyone visiting the area.

Hotel is very nice & clean. There are hot springs indoor & outdoor pool. Every staff is very nice and helping us a lot. They can’t speak English but they use WeChat to talk to us and help us everything since we booking like booking the bus or send us how to go to railway or How to find the bus. They also help order the food, booking scenic spots tickets, write the sign to help us to get back to hotel went we go out. If we have a chance, we will absolutely come back here.

The room is new, clean, and has no cigarette smell. Luggage storage is available. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to Zhongyang Street, near a famous ice cream shop and a tasty mala sausage stall. The area at the end of Zhongyang Street is beautiful and less crowded. I would stay here again.

She is always smiling, polite, and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. From the beginning, she warmly escorted us to our room and took the time to explain all the hotel amenities in detail. Her thoughtfulness did not stop there. She proactively connected with me on WeChat to ensure quick responses to any requests we had. The next morning, she personally reminded us about breakfast and even offered to come to our room to guide us to the restaurant. Her dedication was evident as she stayed until we were seated comfortably in the buffet area. Even after checkout, her exceptional service continued. She presented us with lovely hotel gifts and waited with us until our taxi arrived, ensuring a smooth departure. Chen Yuanyuan’s service attitude is truly commendable.
