El hotel está situado a unos 100 metros de la playa, a 7 noches del Hotel Le Lagon. El hotel dispone de una habitación con una cocina, un sofá y un pequeño comedor. El hotel dispone de una zona de comedor, piscina y spa y un gimnasio. La habitación está muy cerca de la playa, y la habitación está muy cerca de la playa. En la dirección opuesta, hacia el centro de la ciudad, hay una gran cantina, un par de tiendas de comida y una fabulosa pequeña tienda de vinos llamada Terre De Vignes (muy recomendada). En el centro de Noumea, hay un supermercado Auchan, por lo que la autocatering es muy fácil. Hay un autobús en la playa, así que es fácil llegar al centro de Noumea. En general, nos disfrutamos realmente de nuestra estadía en Le Lagon. El hotel está en una ubicación excelente y el personal es excelente.

I arrived very late, close to midnight, and had sent the hotel an email notifying them of this. However, I never received any reply. On arrival, though, reception was open and I was quickly checked in by a friendly receptionist who spoke some English – not much, but we got along. My ”deluxe” room on the second floor was, according to the floor plan, the smallest room on the whole floor and the only one without a bathtub. Nothing deluxe about it, quite the opposite. The hotel really lives up to its name, Le Paris, as Paris is full of these ubiquitous three star hotels with dated, cramped rooms. My room felt reasonably clean, however, it reeked of decades of cigarette smoking and could really use a refresh. There was a soft bed called a double, but it would be narrow for two, a desk and chair as well as a fridge that was not turned on. The safe worked, the A/C was effective and the wifi was reliable albeit a little slow. There was a clock on the wall, however, it did not work. There were no water bottles in the room, but they had some for sale downstairs. The bathroom was small and came with a shower cubicle where the handheld shower had good water pressure and ample hot water. The only amenities provided were two wall-mounted containers: hand soap and a combined hair and body soap. Check-out time was 10:30 am, which must be the earliest check-out time I have ever seen. A ”late” check-out at noon would have incurred an extra charge of approx. 25 €. I could levae my bag at reception for a few hours on checking out, though. I stayed here for one night because I had a late arrival and I also wanted to see the city centre before moving to a beach hotel in Anse Vata. For this purpose, the hotel did its job, but I would not be happy staying here for more than one night. The hotel enjoys a very central location two blocks from Place des Cocotiers and is within easy walking distance to anything in the city centre. The cathedral is right behind the hotel, and you are reminded by this each hour as the church bells ring, day and night. I paid 71 €, no breakfast included, and felt the hotel was more or less worth the price.

El hotel dispone de unas instalaciones muy básicas, pero suficientes para una estancia rápida. No hay muchos restaurantes abiertos para la hora de la cena, por lo que es bastante difícil encontrar un lugar para la cena. La velocidad de WiFi es fuerte mucho mejor que mi alquilado WiFi de bolsillo.

El cambio de residencia en Tokio para abandonar la isla Si se usa para cambiar, no hay problema. Pero si quieres disfrutar del mar, mejor se encuentra en el hotel de la costa sur.

Quinientos o seiscientos RMB es realmente bueno para un hotel en Noumea que puede vivir en la playa. Si es un amigo el que fuma, se recomienda gastar más de unos pocos dólares para hospedarse en una habitación con balcón. Abra la puerta y tome una ducha en el balcón.

Although there were always long queues to check in and no air-con at the reception, the staff was friendly and 'try their best' to help us. A few things that we hate about this place: was hard to communicate with the staff on the phone and at reception as only a few of them speak a very low English; they promote free wifi but they only give you 200MB per day and if you want more you need to pay AUD50; the bedroom service is really late (around 5pm), which was very inconvenient for us and the cleaning was average (we preassume that the staff didn't have the right equipment to clean properly: they used brooms instead of vacuums for example). The things we enjoyed: the bedroom was nice and had a fantastic view to the ocean, the swimming pool is beautiful and was clean, the location is perfect. They tried to charge our card twice (at check in and check out) but we have already paid through Trip ahead to our arrival, they might have some issue at their system. We appreciate that Trip responded positively to out complaint anout the wifi issue.

The entire island is a fantastic time away, we stayed in an overwater bungalow for 4 nights, which in hindsight was the right amount with another 3 nights on the mainland. Getting from the airport to the island, we book the tickets on the bus (red and white one), we waited 20 mins to leave the airport, the island guests are the first to be dropped off. (btw the car hire guests were still waiting for cars when we left so the bus was quicker). Yes, the buffet dinner is expensive but you can do just Hot or Cold (seafood) buffet for $60Aud which was worth it. The full buffet is ok once. There is a small selection of food that you can eat by the pool ( or any secluded spot you find [ quote from their in room brochure ] most food is fried but they had veggie platter or a cold meats platter. So food is ok on the island. Breakfast had a good variety and its included in the price so nothing to complain about. newbie tip--if you want to eat outside, DO NOT get a big plate of food, find a great table, put your food down and then go back inside to get a juice, coffee,etc.. the seagulls will clean your plate before you've decided on orange or tropical juice? if you're a couple go up to the buffet separately. All tables have spray bottles to scare the birds away. The bungalows are huge with plenty of room and well maintained, the staff dropped off water every morning and room cleaning was well done. Considering the Hotel is a marine environment the staff are to be congratulated for an incredible job. There are plenty of turtles that hang around the bungalows at high tide but only saw snakes one day, and yes they are quick up the stairs if you leave them down. BRING your own snorkels as the current swimming ban prohibits lending them out.the staff didnt seem to care about guests swimming but they don't encourage it so no beach towels in the room either. Getting back to the food, the main land is a 20min boat trip back. If you turn left and follow the coast around there's a big supermarket that has all the snacks you need, bread, pate, softdrinks etc. note Gin drinkers - Sweps tonic water is the only brand we found. If you turn right and walk 20 mins (or ask the hotel reception to book a driver before you get on the boat $14aud) you can go to La Maison Ballande. French wine and Champ at quarter the price of the island, plus they have french chocs and foods that make great gifts. And while youre there book a dinner at La Marmite (amazing food) To get back to the airport we used a driver that spoke English (grew up in Paris but now lives in Noumea for his 2 kids) and was a quick Whatsapp message away. Nous sommes arrivés en avance et nous avons pu accéder à la chambre avant l’heure, personnel très professionnel, souriant et agréable. We have been overclassed en apartment une chambre au lieu du studio et passé une nuit reposée malgré le bruit de la climatisation portable car celle de l'appartement était en panne. Very practical you’ don’t need towels or necessary to shower, everything you are provided. Excelente e impresionante vista sobre el océano. Acceso a tiendas, tiendas y restaurantes situados justo abajo del hotel y a los alrededores.

Having read mixed reviews on Tripadvisor, we were unsure what we would find. We have returned from a great holiday, most of the negatives we had read were not our reality. The staff, despite the language barrier, were without exception helpful, friendly and courteous. A couple of minor issues were dealt with speedily - an English/French dictionary would have been helpful for communicating technical issues not covered by tourist phrase books! The apartment was huge, light and clean, if a little dated in places. Bedroom large, plenty of wardrobe space/hangers, and shelving. Queen bed was comfortable, with quality sheets and a duvet. Kitchen reasonably well equipped, with induction hob, oven, microwave, coffee maker, but were glad we took a good kitchen knife and a dish brush and dishcloths. Bathroom was big, clean and no issues with hot water; shower towels/bathmat supplied, but take your own face cloths. The balcony was large and sheltered, with great views over the Baie des Citrons and lovely sunsets. Clothes washing not a problem with a good washing machine and large clothes airer. Apartment was not serviced, so you are responsible for taking the rubbish out - not a problem. You have to provide subsequent rubbish bags, and also toilet paper. At the end of the stay, you undertake to leave the apartment in a clean state - a broom and dustpan-and-brush is provided. The building is in a good location, less than 2 minutes walk to the bus stop and Baie des Citrons beach, and close to multiple cafes/bars/eateries. A small but adequate supermarket is an easy 15-20 mins walk away, also close to bus stops and an excellent bus service. Food prices are pretty close to NZ prices, so no nasty surprises there. We had read one review on this site that said beaches were closed until the end of 2023 - this is not so! The Baie des Citrons beach is completely open, while the Anse Vata beach is having work done along the promenade and small sections are closed, depending on where work is being carried out. We were there during the last week of July and the first week of August. Had a lovely holiday in an excellent location, and recommend the Casa del Sole as a well-priced and pleasant place to stay.
