La primera vez en un hotel Crystalbrook. Fue una agradable experiencia. Las habitaciones son realmente espaciosas con bonitos toques de diseño moderno/retro. La cama estaba bien, muy firme. La entrada de la habitación es un poco de un espacio desperdiciado alrededor de la zona de la casa de baño, probablemente podría haber sido mejor utilizado. El baño estaba bien equipado, probablemente podría haber sido mayor basado en la zona de entrada desperdiciada. El hotel tiene una vibe bastante sombre, así que un poco de vanilla en ese sentido. El restaurante no abre el domingo, así que no podía probar. El bar en el nivel superior tiene unas buenas vistas, pero un poco disociado entre el bar agradable y el área de sentimiento en una habitación separada. No se sentía aburrido allí. La ubicación estaba bien, un poco fuera del CBD central, pero lo suficientemente cerca de las comedoras de Darby St. Así que mi cena de domingo allí. Opuesto a Civic Park y cerca del frente del agua. Me encantaba la ”no botella de plástico” y las estaciones de agua rellenas para una experiencia eco-amigable.

Hoteles en El Hotel: Este hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad. El personal es muy agradable y útil. Recomenda pagar el estacionamiento extra y obtener valet como otra opción puede ser confuso para empezar con. El bar de arriba del techo era lindo pero la música muy alta. Amo los productos de la habitación Kevin Murphy. Sí, nos quedaríamos de nuevo cuando en Newcastle.

Went for Melbourne cup and while menu wasn’t as advertised I couldn’t fault menu or service. Service was 5 star. Food was awesome! I can’t stop talking about the friendly service though. Service wins every time for me. Would 100% go again without fail.

Shared 3 bedroom apartment with friends. Price point is reasonable - you get what you pay for compared to the more expensive modern apartments. Not sure I would stay again. Pros: large spacious apartment with all amenities for a longer stay. Location central with shopping centre for groceries etc 10 min walk away. Restaurants and Civic theatre close by. Cons:dated and shabby - needs some TLC - worn carpets, bathrooms need re-grouting. There was a problem with cockroaches in the kitchen which we have reported. Parking would be tight for larger cars as it is tight .

The good : The rooms are large , spacious, and good size kitchen, and lounge and eating eras with seperate bedroom and washing facilities, so great for a longer stay as I did for 7 days. The pool and spa are a nice touch all indoors and very relaxing after a hot humid day. The rooms are very neat and tidy, starting to show their age a bit, but still very functional. The beds are a bit firm and could have the room for king size, i think the mattress could be due for a replacement. The bathrooms are aged some what with the old step into the bath to have a shower routine, thus time for a refurbishment to be carried out on those. The OK: Only one air con for the large rooms, so your bedroom can get quite hot, and my ceiling fan didn’t work, so not as comfortable as it could have been. Some of the carpets in hallways are a bit thread bear and needs replacing, and the pool area needs a repaint, but all minor issues . The bad: Seems to be a theme with quests of late, the car park, besides the fact getting into the place to do a check in is near impossible as there is no parking on the street , so park a few blocks away, walk to the entrance and get the remote to open the 30 dollar a day car parking gate, the parking is 30 dollars a day for your car to sit in the sun or rain and not get stolen on the street, so lets call the room rate +30 dollars, as there is NO WAY you would park your car on the street around the area, as its a bit seedy at night. Honestly just include it in the room rate and if you don’t park here you get a 30 dollar discount… ?? There was a time car parks for a hotel were free… I must be old school, I guess ;)

We had a late lunch with friends and shared a Newy pizza. It was absolutely delicious! When we placed our order it must have become lost and because our meal was arriving a little later than normal we were given free drinks all around. Both the chef and the waiter were apologetic, helpful and charming. We both would definitely recommend eating here for the delicious food, fantastic service and homely surroundings!
