Con mi esposa volvemos de un fin de semana en el resort Salaya. Acceso rápido en 30 minutos del aeropuerto. Arrivados en el lugar descubrimos nuestra habitación, muy grande, cama muy agradable, un canto de salón con televisión, una cocina bien equipada. Las toallas están separadas. La ducha está al aire libre con pequeño jardín. La piscina es muy agradable. Con acceso directo al mar, perfecto para el snorkeling. Tenemos un examen del spa, justo perfecto. La restauración es muy buena, ya sea en la cena o el desayuno. El bar situado al lado de la piscina es muy agradable. El personal es muy eficiente y caliente. Si tuviera que notar algunos puntos negativos: falta de un gimnasio, falta de ducha cerca de la piscina, especialmente cuando regresamos de la playa y la recepción no tiene contacto directo para obtener un triciclo. The place is is well- maintained, cozy and perfect for our staycation. Great for couples, friends or families. the photos are accurate. It's veautiful! Lots of spaces are available for lounging and introspection. The food was yummy! Just what we needed for a quick break! I also love the interiors and the curtains are lovely. I love the details in the comfort room - we can control which kind of shower to use, we were given 1 bath towel and 1 beach towel per person and the availability of a blower was a huge plus for us! I appreciate the attention given to the details in that room. Kudos to the staff - Cherry, Moon, Christian and Marinel! These people are so accomodating and sweet! Requests are easily granted with big smiles on their faces. Thank you! Say hi to Milo for us. ♥️ 4 stars because: 1. Great coffee can make someone's day. The restaurant's brewed coffee has a lot of room for improvement. 2. Prices for transfers could still be adjusted. 3. Accessibility for seniors or PWDs are not yet in place (although I'm sure the staff would be more than happy to assist just in case) 4. This is totally out of the hotel's control so it's understandable but there was this annoying sound (motor) running in the background the whole morning while we were trying to listen to sound of the waves by the shore lol! Overall, it was a great experience for us! We'd love to stay a little longer or come back next time.

Es adecuado para traer niños, la piscina es más hermosa, probablemente porque siempre hay algunos escombros debajo del árbol y el agua no es clara. El servicio es bastante bueno, ¿instalaciones? La señal WIFI es realmente mala y la velocidad de la red sigue siendo lenta. No hay señal en la ubicación del escritorio. Este problema también ha reaccionado a su gerente. A1, 100% no podía ser mejor. Primera clase. El mejor! Los nombres que recuerdo más son Ariane & Jora, porque realmente practican excelencia en esta a veces difícil profesión. Las habitaciones son soooooooo limpias! Así que a todas las personas sin nombre que hacen este trabajo, Gracias! El desayuno se sirve casi todo el día, más un poco de menú. Delicioso, asequible y rápido. Como dicen en esta provincia, es LAAMI KAAYO! También grandes frescos y suaves! El propietario es una pura filipinosa, por lo que no hay ninguna influencia extraña en el extranjero. Me gusta eso. Además, tienen una reunión/banquet, hermosa piscina aunque no lo he intentado, gran lobby, y creo que 28 habitaciones en general. Lo único que espero.... The hotel is very cozy! It has small, but great rooms, and you can just walk like 50 m and then you are on the beach. The beach is really nice as well. Here you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling without going on a boat. The hotel area at the beach is also very nice with a lot of seating area, and they also have chairs and some sun beds you can bring with you. At the hotel they have a great restaurant, and they even serve you down at the beach! :) The food is so great, you actually don’t have to go somewhere else. They have Asian food and western food and a lot more, and it’s really good. The staff at the hotel is really great and helpful, and make you feel really welcome. We would definitely go back! The only negative thing is if you leave any food in you’re room, it will be infested by a lot of ants. So be careful with that :)

I'm conflicted by my stay here, so I'll just lay out the pros and cons. Pros: Absolutely great dive shop. First and foremost, thank you to Gabby who was my divemaster for all my dives. He is phenomenal and a huge asset to Mike's. Jonathan who manages the diving also provided good service. The rental gear was in excellent condition except for the booties which have seen better days but got the job done. They took me and one other guy to Apo island which I do not think is a profitable trip for them with just 2 customers, but they knew how much time we had at Mike's and made it work for us. Gabby also took me out on a solo night shore dive (which was incredible). Not all dive shops will do this. Corri who manages Mike's also provided excellent customer service. She responded promptly to my emails and then gave me her number so I could Whatsapp her to coordinate a transfer from the ferry. And then after I had an issue with my A/C (see below), she thanked me for saying something so I told her all my complaints as they happened (nothing in this review will be a surprise to them), and she did her very best to resolve them. She never once blamed me as being high maintenance, at least not to my face. And really, I'm not high maintenance. Mike's just has some issues that it needs to address. The wifi was really good and it worked in my room. This is a big deal and a rarity in the Philippines when you get outside the big cities. Mixed: Mike's restaurant has a fairly large menu, and there's a full page of Mexican foods as Mike himself is from California, where I lived for many years. I had the seafood burrito and it was bad. The seafood itself was fine although perhaps not the kinds I would expect to see in a seafood burrito, but ingredient availability plays into that. The real issue is that the flavor was well off. Now perhaps I was foolish to get Mexican food in the Philippines, but I think that if you put something on your menu, you should be proud of it, and this dish was not something to be proud of. Corri did tell me that she and Mike were going to order the seafood burrito the next day and reevaluate it, so again I appreciate her taking my complaint seriously. On the other hand, I had one of the Filipino soup dishes (I can't remember the name) and it was tasty. The breakfasts were also good. So food is a mixed bag, and perhaps you'll be fine if you stick to breakfast and Filipino food. Cons: The biggest con by far is that the bed is uncomfortable. The mattress is a 3 inch piece of soft foam. That simply doesn't cut it. As a side sleeper, my hips were hitting the slats below. Corri again took my complaint seriously and brought me a second mattress to put on top of the first. This helped but these mattresses are so soft, it's still not conducive to a good night's sleep. I stayed in several other places across the Philippines during my trip, including places significantly cheaper than Mike's, and all of my mattresses

We stayed only overnight at this unique beautiful botique hotel as we have to fly the following day to Manila . We were immediately greeted by a very special and charming lady by the name of February, very sweet and charming ! Welcome drink was really timely after 1 hour ride from Zambuanquita where we had our hotel for the Apo island diving the night before. What makes this hotel special is how friendly and accommodating the staff were, not to mention the Philippine hut style “igloo” & beautiful interior design.The role model for how to “treat” a guest is the GM & Operations Manager, Marlon Navarro. I am a Filipino expat who had lived over 40 years in Europe and just on a diving & golf safari with my buddy but I have never seen an “over the top” hospitality from a hotel manager. Marlon answered all our enquiries including where to have a nice dinner, bar to hang out, sightseeing and spa. For spa, don’t miss the hotel spa especially with Jess - one of my best massages in the Philippines. Also, as Marlon noticed that I have an Austrian guest who is a little bit inquisitive about the area, brought us even by himself to the Boulevard as my friend is quite tall for a “tuktuk” (our local Tricicle). I wish UNWND all the success in the world and without a doubt, with Marlon under it’s helm, it will be the top hotel in Dumaguete in due time. Thank you so much for this “unusual “ experience! Nos quedamos por 1 noche hasta el 1 de julio pasado. Llamaba antes de nuestra llegada para hacer una reserva de habitaciones. Muchas gracias a Lester que hizo posible todas nuestras solicitudes. For a 5 star hotel, it doesn’t seem like it is and definitely not worth the price. -Poor amenities (Example, they offer a small thin bar of soap as a body wash. Why wouldn’t they offer liquid body wash? Also, some towels were overused) -They clean the rooms/bathrooms and change your towels after 3 days instead of everyday. There’s no pandemic anymore so why not clean the rooms everyday?! -Good food, but not enough choices for breakfast (Why wouldn’t pancakes be included in the options?Also, the coffee doesn’t taste good - strong and burnt tasting) -Nice staff, but they need more training: ＞Food Service is slow and inefficient. During breakfast and lunch, our food were served after hours of waiting. Some of our orders came incorrectly (not what we ordered). ＞Disorganize and lack in system. ＞They lack in staff both at the front desk and Sans rival Cafe. -They will charge you if you don’t return all your keycards. If this was a true 5 star hotel, you wouldn’t charge your guests for something cheap and disposable. Overall, our stay was ok (big rooms and nice pool), but lacking in amenities and training of staff. There are more cons than pros. Whoever owns this hotel seems like they are saving too much on costs. Never going to stay in any of the Henry Hotels in the Philippines.
