«El hotel no está en una zona céntrica, pero es muy conveniente; el centro comercial y la estación de metro están justo al lado. En general, el personal es atento. No ofrecen lujos como mejoras de habitación, grandes sonrisas ni recuerdos, pero algunos empleados son muy considerados, como las mujeres del gimnasio y el técnico que enviaron a mi habitación para arreglar el aire acondicionado. ¡Un diez para su excelente servicio! Las comodidades son de estilo clásico, pero lo que más me gustó fue la bañera y la lavadora en la habitación.»

«After carefully weighing the options between the Horizon Club Room and the 2-Bedroom Residence, we chose the Residence and could not have been happier with our decision. The enormous extra space, privacy, and comfort made it the perfect choice for our stay. For families or groups traveling together, I highly recommend considering the Residences. A special mention goes to Mr. KAKI, the Residences Manager. From check-in to check-out, he was warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely courteous. His constant presence and willingness to assist elevated our experience from a 5-star stay to what truly felt like a 6-star experience. Having spent the previous two weeks traveling throughout Northeast China and staying at several other 5-star hotels, we can confidently say that Shangri-La Dalian stands out as one of the finest hotels we encountered in every respect. Some highlights of our stay: • The breakfast was generous, varied, and absolutely delicious. • Housekeeping was exceptionally efficient and responsive. • The air conditioning worked perfectly, providing consistently cool and comfortable temperatures. • The automated toilets with spray bidet functions were a thoughtful touch and added greatly to the overall comfort of the room. «The hotel is in prime location. The rooms is spacious and the balcony provides additional space to enjoy the sea view. The soundproofing is good. The cleanness of the room is average. There were grease smudges on the dining table/ bar table in the room. Additional blankets and bottled water is plentiful. Breakfast is average. The sticky floor in the cafe area is the biggest downside of this hotel. Tourist attractions are in close proximity. The pool and the gym are well equipped. Overall, it is a good option for exploring the sea and mountains and leisurely vacations.»

James was also great — very friendly, honest, and easy to communicate with. His English is very good, which made everything smooth and comfortable. «Al entrar en el hotel, me recibieron con una sonrisa radiante y acogedora. El proceso de registro fue rápido y el personal me presentó amablemente las instalaciones. Incluso desplegaron un mapa para ofrecerme una guía detallada de los lugares más destacados de Dalian y los alrededores del hotel. La cortesía y la calidez son la esencia de su servicio. Los huéspedes no tienen por qué sentirse incómodos en esta ciudad desconocida: la atención que reciben marca la diferencia. Si bien la marca InterContinental hace honor a su renombrada reputación, es la dedicación del personal del hotel lo que realmente le da vida. En la recepción, Grace Zhao me causó una excelente primera impresión del hotel, y su amabilidad me hizo olvidar que estaba en un lugar nuevo. Sus instalaciones son impecables; durante mi visita en un día frío, disfruté del spa y el gimnasio, que resultaron sumamente satisfactorios. La oferta gastronómica también es variada, adaptándose a diferentes gustos y ofreciendo experiencias culinarias exquisitas. Asimismo, las instalaciones de las habitaciones, la limpieza y el servicio atento y amable de todo el personal son ventajas difíciles de encontrar en otros lugares de la zona. Como viajero frecuente a esta región por trabajo, puedo afirmar con seguridad que, si me preguntaran cuál es la mayor fortaleza de este hotel, no dudaría en decir que es la extraordinaria armonía entre su personal, su ubicación y sus instalaciones. Sinceramente, no me arrepiento de haber escrito esta reseña con mi nombre real. Si desean disfrutar plenamente de los paisajes, la gastronomía y la gente de Dalian, este hotel es la mejor opción. En especial, la compañía de amigas como Grace y Lily les dejará recuerdos inolvidables de Dalian. «Grand Hyatt Hotel is located downstairs in Xinghai District of Dalian, which is the famous scenic spot Xinghai Square, where seagulls are great.When I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, I felt their meticulous service, including meals and delicious food, from the moment I joined the company. The service in the executive lounge was also very good.It's warm, and it's the New Year's Eve, and there are dumplings that night.Let me feel a different flavor of the new year.»

«La estancia en el Dalian Castle Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, superó todas mis expectativas durante mi viaje a Dalian. La atmósfera del castillo de estilo europeo es impresionante, y desde el jardín elevado se puede admirar el puente Xinghai con puestas de sol espectaculares, perfecto para fotos. La habitación es espaciosa y luminosa, con ventanales que dan directamente al mar, y la limpieza está impecable. Quiero destacar especialmente a Sunny de Relaciones con los Huéspedes. Fue detallista y paciente, organizó meticulosamente todas mis solicitudes previas y respondió rápidamente. Su servicio fue perfecto, sin ser intrusivo. El desayuno ofrecía una gran variedad. No es solo un hotel popular para Instagram, sino un lugar donde realmente te sientes cómodo. Es ideal tanto para parejas como para familias. ¡Lo recomiendo encarecidamente!»

«One of the oldest 5* hotel in that area. The location is good with the metro station (ZhongShan) just 5min walk. There are also plenty eatery and convenience store within the 5min walk range (McDonald's, Lawson, Mixue etc). 2 metro stations away is the Qingniwa shopping area and the Dalian Train Station. Plenty of new shopping malls in this area. The room is a good size with most amenities provided. Water pressure is good for shower. Some English TV channels are available for watching. Bed and pillows are comfy. Min fridge is also provided. Pay a bit more to get a room in the West Wing if you prefer a more elevated experience. The rooms are newer and equipment are better than the East Wing. Overall a good hotel to stay in for the price if you need to be in that area.»

«The (apart)hotel is located steps away from the seaside and 东方水城 with plenty of eateries (but definitely less than what you get if staying at 中山广场 for example - we purposely chose to be close to the seaside here). The staff from bellboy to front desk/ cleaning staff is also eager to please with smiles all around, definitely pleasant interactions. On the downside, there was a heavy smoke smell at the hallway leading to our unit, and upon confirmation with the staff working at the floor during the time, turns out that the person living next door is smoking 🥲 this smell did creep into our unit over time, which led me to request air purifier and open the windows to improve circulation. Also I need to turn *off* ventilation at the bathroom to prevent smoke smell. Luckily, the situation improved during our stay (so I decided against requesting to change units) since the occurrence of smoke smell became less (perhaps the resident checked out/ decided to smoke less?). Anyhow, this did damper our experience. Also to note a service suggestion due to the smell I immediately requested a purifier unit, didn’t realize that there’s already one sitting in the unit. I also requested detergent since washing machine is available in the unit, didn’t realize that it’s readily available inside the bathroom. While the receptionist happily agreed to my request when I called to request the items (upon checking into my room), they could have also just informed me where they are located to avoid the redundant request. Also, perhaps the detergent should be placed visibly/ closer to the washing unit instead of being together with toothbrush etc inside the drawer in the bathroom - just a suggestion. Breakfast offerings while great is also nothing to wow about (one of our main considerations for hotel selection is to look at breakfast pricing listed, which is 198 RMB in this case, which is on the higher end, so we were expecting some kind of a wow factor). Yes, the restaurant is located on the 67th floor offering nice view, but the spread is nothing to rave about - it’s your typical above average breakfast spread with additionally a little seafood selection. During our stay I did come across an offer to purchase breakfast for 108 RMB in one of the platforms, and I think the value is much closer to this rather than 198, so something worth calling out. So all in all, good hotel with great location/ views/ staff - calling out the smoking issue (more of a people problem rather than hotel’s, but I would wish/ expect that indoor smoking should be non existent for 5-star establishments, which isn’t the case here), and secondarily the breakfast value. The shower issue (lower pressure/ time to heat) from other reviews is also real, but not a big deal for us.»
