El hotel cuenta con un vestíbulo bien decorado, bar y aparcamiento privado. El personal de recepción fue amable y a menudo se esforzaba al máximo para responder a nuestras peticiones, pero a veces se mostraban más ansiosos por explicarnos las normas y no les importaba demasiado. El bar cerraba sobre las 22:00. No era un restaurante; faltaban la mayoría de los platos de la carta y no había mucho para comer. No había albornoz ni zapatillas, lo cual no es habitual en un hotel de 4 estrellas. El desayuno no era bueno. Todos los días consistía en una especie de jamón, salchichas y huevos revueltos, croissants y yogur con fruta. Siempre terminaba a las 22:00. Ni siquiera más tarde los fines de semana. El personal del desayuno era muy arrogante. Me sentí superfluo. La limpieza estaba bien, pero era muy caótica; siempre olvidaban el té *****, la toalla, el papel, etc. Siempre metían las lámparas de lectura en las almohadas; ¡una locura! La habitación, la cama, las almohadas, el baño y las teteras eran prácticos. Bonitas fotos de Marsella, bonitos colores de los muebles. El aire acondicionado estaba bien, pero no era el más frío, a pesar de que estábamos en la época de calor, con 4 grados afuera. Las ventanas no son grandes ni tienen balcones, así que es un poco sombrío. La ducha y el inodoro funcionaban bien. Había un supermercado a la vuelta de la esquina y un centro comercial. El hotel tiene una ubicación extraña, aunque todo parece cerca en el mapa. De hecho, ni siquiera caminamos hasta el Puerto Viejo, porque era demasiado. Pero fue conveniente usar un coche con aparcamiento privado. Esto hizo que nuestro viaje fuera realmente bueno.

Transporte conveniente y rendimiento de alto costo.

Cuando llegué, las señoras de la limpieza llevaban 53 días manifestándose frente al hotel. La puerta giratoria estaba cubierta de barro y confeti, mientras las mujeres negras bailaban al son de ritmos africanos a todo volumen. ¡Qué sorpresa! Continuaron durante mi estancia… La recepción fue de gran ayuda después de que contacté con el gerente. Mi vuelo se retrasó y llegué un día tarde, así que lograron modificar mi reserva sin coste adicional. Mi tarjeta no funcionaba, así que dejé un depósito en efectivo y me enviaron un correo electrónico cuando llegó mi maleta retrasada (para no despertarme). El servicio de limpieza fue regular: en dos ocasiones no repusieron el agua. En una ocasión olvidaron un producto de limpieza. En otra, no repusieron las cápsulas de descafeinado. También podrían haber sido más generosos con el papel higiénico. Es el reciclado, muy fino, el que se acaba rápido. El desayuno estaba delicioso y el restaurante era espacioso, con un jardín con vistas al puerto deportivo. La habitación era grande, moderna y tranquila, con una vista increíble del puerto, ¡con atardeceres y amaneceres incluidos! ¡Incluso vi los increíbles fuegos artificiales de media hora del Día de la Bastilla justo debajo de mi ventana! La cama es grande y cómoda, las almohadas un poco blandas, la iluminación es buena, pero no hay artículos de aseo (lo cual al principio fue un problema debido a la pérdida de equipaje). El servicio de habitaciones no estaba disponible la única noche que quise pedirlo, debido a las celebraciones del Día de la Bastilla. El código QR no funciona en mi teléfono, así que tuve que llamar a recepción para pedirlo. Además, no había bebidas alcohólicas en la lista, y además no tenía nevera en la habitación, así que no pude relajarme del todo y disfrutar de mis vacaciones. El hotel no tiene spa, lo cual es una pena. Así que reservé por internet y me dieron un masaje en el hammam, a pocos minutos del hotel (muy caro y no muy bueno). El más cercano estaba cerrado. La piscina es preciosa, pero está en otro edificio y hay que coger otro ascensor en la planta baja. Un poco lioso... El gimnasio es básico pero bueno. Se llena bastante y se ensucia al final del día. Hay muchos restaurantes buenos cerca e incluso una pequeña tienda Proxi. Hay una parada de autobús a 1 minuto que lleva a la Terraza del Puerto. El taxi me dejó justo enfrente del hotel. Las cuevas del Mucem y del Cosquer, visibles desde el hotel, están a 25 minutos a pie y merecen la pena visitarlas. En general, quedé satisfecho con mi estancia y volvería si se resolvieran los problemas mencionados.

We stayed in Sofitel Marseille for 3 nights in the summer of 2023. The hotel is located right on the periphery of the old port of Marseille where all the shops and restaurants are located. It takes about a 15-minute walk to get from the hotel all the way to the centre of the old port so the hotel is fairly insulated from the hustle and bustle of the old port. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit dated but the interiors feel very fresh, clean and bright. We upgraded our room to a deluxe room facing the old port at the reception and we thought it was worth it. We never tired of waking up to a view of the old port with a clear blue sky. The room itself was quite clean and spacious. There was enough room to open up two luggages and still move around comfortably. There is also a turn down service where the staff will put out the bedroom slippers and play some nice Jazz music when you come back. The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning would turn off in the middle of the night. The air conditioning control did not seem to work and it seems like the air conditioning is centrally controlled so the in-room controls did nothing. I could not sleep the first night as it was too warm and stuffy so we asked for a ventilateur (fan) the next day. That helped us to sleep better. Obviously, if you are planning to stay during the winter months then the heat at night should not be an issue. The staff at the reception were always pleasant, warm, friendly and polite. We were upsold the room with a view when we checked in so that should say something about how friendly the staff were. It was EUR70 per night for the room with a view and it included overnight parking (EUR27 per night) so it was really only about EUR50 extra per night. The valet and the concierge were all very helpful and nice and they all speak English well enough. If you intend to park here, do note that the roads within the hotel property can be quite narrow and the parking lots are quite narrow as well. It may be worthwhile getting the valet to help you park your car at least for the first day because driving from the car rental agencies at the Marseille train station to the hotel was stressful enough for us. We paid around EUR300 - 350 a night but we thought it was worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

El hotel esta al lado del centro y justo debajo tienes el tranvía que es genial porque por la ciudad es mejor moverse en transporte público. También dispone de una pequeña piscina con sauna y gimnasio muy limpio todo.

非常棒的酒店！安全且舒適！地段非常好位於主街！離火車站步行就能到！另外一側延伸至海灣港口。不得不説這個城市非常熱鬧而且多元。 因為當時忘記買了早餐就去吃了…然後服務生有問我入住的房間沒有早餐。但是她説不必擔心，當作她請我的法式早餐！之後前台的先生也説不必付款這個費用。這位法國姐姐真的太nice了！這家店非常友好。

La mayor ventaja es que la estación de tren está muy cerca. La estación de tren está situada en un terreno elevado. Es muy difícil tirar cajas en la ciudad, como por ejemplo en el Puerto Viejo. Se recomienda tomar un taxi ya que el metro está más cerca. Toda Marsella está llena de altibajos. ibis se centra en el aislamiento acústico. El sonido de otros vecinos cerrando sus puertas no es tan fuerte como el sonido fuera de la ventana. El desayuno es bastante bueno para un hotel de este precio.

J'ai l'habitude d'aller dans cette hôtel, l'accueil est sympa, l'emplacement est très bien à l'entrée de Marseille et juste à côté du port de l'estaque.

First time in Marseille. Fine to have stayed at this apartment but probably won't again. I had to chase for the access instructions myself. Also annoying to have to go pick up the keys from Ibis (collection itself was quick), which is a 9-minute walk to the apartment. The fob worked but the 2 keys attached did not open any doors. Email instructions, while clear, were not entirely accurate - referring to going right when in fact I needed to find the apartment on the left. Bit of drama one morning as I forgot my phone inside the apartment and had locked myself out. Had keys on me but the keys couldn't actually open the door, and of course I couldn't remember the super-secure 9-digit digital code! Only eventually managed to get in but asking a neighbour who thankfully was able to call the apartment manager. They should have given me working manual keys but never did. Apartment itself was very clean. Lots of linen. Comfortable bedding in the bedroom as well as hidden under the sofa bed. Basic toiletries included. Washing machine worked. Heating was plenty sufficient. No dishwasher but not an issue as I did not cook much. (2 induction hob rings right against the wall which I didn't think was conducive to cooking anything more than the super basic, but fine for me this trip.) Overall it was okay. Location super convenient, but I'd prefer somewhere quieter, where people and traffic noise wouldn't be so loud and go on after hours. Also somewhere without people relieving themselves next to large bins right outside the building's front door. Somewhere more pleasant...
