Sofitel Marseille Vieux Port

Everything was great, the service, the staff and the location is great.

Customer satisfaction is, first of all, meeting expectations. I set CXI =0 for this hotel. I certainly did not expect that the hotel: 1. Steals money, 2. Does not respond to customer emails. In more detail. Upon leaving the hotel, I made a full payment for all hotel services in cash, and a check out form was printed out. Despite this, for some of the services, I withheld money once more from the deposit, which was not fully refunded. Three letters were written to the hotel, including an appeal to the General Manager of Vincent Gaymard. There was no response from the hotel to any of them.

The hotel is well positioned in Marseille with amazing views over the city, especially from the rooftop bar. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel room well equipped and a very comfortable bed. Parking the car securely was simple with the expert help of the concierge.

Great hotel at a nice location. It is always a 15 mins walk to the city center. Parking was ok, though 32 euro a night which is at the higher end. Breakfast was 33 euro for a person, it was good but it didn’t worth its high price. We went for a brunch the other morning and it was perfect - the place is right next to the opera, amazing vibe. It is called Deïa Coffee & Kitchen. It is good service overall, thanks for having us.

We stayed in Sofitel Marseille for 3 nights in the summer of 2023. The hotel is located right on the periphery of the old port of Marseille where all the shops and restaurants are located. It takes about a 15-minute walk to get from the hotel all the way to the centre of the old port so the hotel is fairly insulated from the hustle and bustle of the old port. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit dated but the interiors feel very fresh, clean and bright. We upgraded our room to a deluxe room facing the old port at the reception and we thought it was worth it. We never tired of waking up to a view of the old port with a clear blue sky. The room itself was quite clean and spacious. There was enough room to open up two luggages and still move around comfortably. There is also a turn down service where the staff will put out the bedroom slippers and play some nice Jazz music when you come back. The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning would turn off in the middle of the night. The air conditioning control did not seem to work and it seems like the air conditioning is centrally controlled so the in-room controls did nothing. I could not sleep the first night as it was too warm and stuffy so we asked for a ventilateur (fan) the next day. That helped us to sleep better. Obviously, if you are planning to stay during the winter months then the heat at night should not be an issue. The staff at the reception were always pleasant, warm, friendly and polite. We were upsold the room with a view when we checked in so that should say something about how friendly the staff were. It was EUR70 per night for the room with a view and it included overnight parking (EUR27 per night) so it was really only about EUR50 extra per night. The valet and the concierge were all very helpful and nice and they all speak English well enough. If you intend to park here, do note that the roads within the hotel property can be quite narrow and the parking lots are quite narrow as well. It may be worthwhile getting the valet to help you park your car at least for the first day because driving from the car rental agencies at the Marseille train station to the hotel was stressful enough for us. We paid around EUR300 - 350 a night but we thought it was worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

It was disappointing to see that the hôtel location is long time walking from city center and not idéal location but the view is pretty and breakfast disappointing with Frozen food as well

商務出差，入住這個酒店，地理位置優越，7樓餐廳海景無敵，第一天早餐食物新鮮，但第二天，土豆是前一天剩的，吃起來有異味且很硬，五星的酒店，不應該啊，房間一般般，如果沖地理位置和頂樓海景推薦，如果追求性價比，強烈不推薦。另外，千萬不要坐酒店幫你叫的出租車，雖然司機會英語，但收費是雙倍！

房間衛生佳，周邊環境一流，尤其是七樓餐廳，可以鸟瞰馬賽港，風景壯麗。早餐一般。但是市中心附近有不少優秀餐廳，可做選擇。
