We stayed at Atour Hotel Dalian Dongguan Street (大连市政府东关街亚朵酒店) during our first trip to mainland China, and honestly, this place was one of the highlights of our whole visit. Right at check-in we were kindly upgraded to a suite, and the staff asked if we could leave a review — after staying here, that was an easy and enthusiastic yes. Where do I even start? The room was immaculately clean, super quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was impressive with strong water pressure and top-notch amenities — everything felt fresh and high quality. We had zero issues with housekeeping — everything was always perfect. The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve met in China. Their English wasn’t perfect, but they tried so hard to help with whatever we needed, always with a smile and patience. That honest effort made a big difference. Location is another major plus. This hotel is right by Dongguan Street, which means you’re walking distance to tons of restaurants, shops, and attractions. Pavilion Mall is super close too, and the airport is easy to get to — really convenient for arrivals and departures. One small thing — the subway station is a bit of a walk, but the tram stop is very close, so getting around was still easy. We didn’t try the breakfast since it wasn’t included, but honestly, everything else was so good that we really don’t even care. To all travelers — especially Korean and Western visitors who might skip Dalian thinking it’s “not worth it” or don’t see many foreigners here — do yourself a favor and stay here. This was hands-down one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere. If we come back to Dalian, we will 100% stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended.

The overall room quality and cleanliness at this hotel are okay. The room was comfortable, but the lack of reliable food supply and deceptive scheduling ruined my stay. There is no room service available at this property, which became a nightmare because all outside food delivery apps and takeout services were geographically blocked across the entire region due to a special local event. I went down to the vending machine late at night, starving, and could physically see cup noodles inside. However, because the machine requires a mobile app to operate and the app failed to list the noodles, a tech glitch made it impossible to buy them. There was also no operational backup plan for the staff to just take that vending item out from the machine, forcing me to go to bed completely hungry with zero alternative food options. There's also a problem of deceptive breakfast hours and very limited food options. Prior to booking, I checked their online listings which clearly state that breakfast starts at 07:00. Upon my arrival, the staff simply used a pen to cross out 07:00 on my breakfast voucher and hand-wrote 07:30 instead, without any prior notice. They did it very casually, as if the time change would not affect anything, showing a lack of awareness and respect regarding a guest's time and schedule. This unannounced change ruined my morning business schedule, meaning I could not eat the breakfast I paid for for one of the days. For those days that I could eat the breakfast, I found a large room for improvement in terms of food quality and options.

Las instalaciones del hotel están bien equipadas y muy bien mantenidas, a pesar de que me alojé aquí hace 8 años. En general, estoy muy satisfecho con esta estancia. I visited Dalian on April 28, 2026, for a 1-night, 2-day trip with China Southern Airlines. I arrived at the hotel about an hour before check-in and asked the front desk if early check-in would be possible, as I planned to leave my luggage and go sightseeing. At that time, a staff member named Leo Liu warmly welcomed me and assisted me in fluent Korean and English. Thanks to him, the check-in process was very smooth, and he even upgraded my room. I was very happy to stay in such a wonderful room during my trip. He also kindly offered complimentary breakfast, which I truly enjoyed. In addition, he explained nearby sightseeing spots in detail using a map, which was very helpful for my trip. Leo Liu was extremely kind, attentive, and proactive in understanding what guests need. His thoughtful service made my stay in Dalian truly enjoyable and memorable. If I visit Dalian again in the future, I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again. Cean room, spacious and had a balcony. Facilities wise had all you needed. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be eaten at the hotel. Lots of music things displayed around the hotel. First time in a Hard Rock Venue for me so was quite nice and surprising the amount of music on display. All staff was friendly and attentive.

Excelente ubicación, frente a la plaza Zhongshan y a 15 minutos a pie de la calle Rusia. El puerto deportivo está a un corto trayecto en minitaxi de 10-15 minutos. Este hotel es como un hotel chino de estilo antiguo, es algo grandioso y se mantiene en relativamente buen estado, pero está desactualizado con muebles de madera oscura y no está a la altura de las altas expectativas de un InterContinental, especialmente comparado con otras ciudades. Además, hay un olor extraño en la habitación y el desayuno es limitado, incluso en el salón ejecutivo. Tampoco hubo reconocimiento por mi cumpleaños, lo cual fue decepcionante. Como punto positivo, la habitación ejecutiva es de buen tamaño, el baño es enorme, la ducha tiene buena presión, el estado es aceptable, la cama y las almohadas son cómodas, no hay cafetera, pero hay acceso gratuito al salón con té de la tarde ambos días y hora feliz donde se sirve comida. La piscina es grande y tiene hasta 1,8 m de profundidad. El precio es relativamente bueno, así que en general fue agradable. Gracias también a Grace, quien me dio un check-out tardío y un imán. Espero que reformen el hotel pronto, ya que podría mejorar, aunque tampoco está tan mal.
