Clean hotel with friendly and supportive staff. The location is excellent for those who wish to be in and around the major restaurants and shopping in Gulshan/ Banani areas. The buffet breakfast is good and the menu changes daily. The only hiccup we had was the lights went out in the middle of the night, which I’m sure they could have fixed if we had informed the reception. Maybe not right then, as it was around 02:30am! Overall, quite good.

La calidad del edificio es muy pobre- no hay aislamiento acústico, el aire acondicionado funciona en un modo frío pero no se puede controlar la temperatura. Toallas huelen a molde. El ascensor huele. El hotel les arregla una visita a la ciudad. El tipo con el coche no hablaba inglés y me pidió una dirección al principio de la “turística de la ciudad”. Felizmente llamó a su jefe que habla inglés y acordamos un tipo de tour de la ciudad. La única cosa que se hizo bien fue una transferencia gratuita del hotel al aeropuerto, y creo que fue principalmente porque este cambio estaba con el mejor hombre en la recepción, era realmente competente y fiable.

I recently completed a two-week visit to Bangladesh and stayed at three different hotels. I will not only review them in detail but give an overview of my experience of budget hotels in Bangladesh as a tourist. Most of my thoughts, comments, and opinions on all three of these properties are the same so there will be some copying and pasting in these reviews. Tourists wishing to arrive in Bangladesh and receive a visa on arrival (VOA) are advised to have hotel bookings and Proof of Onward Travel (POOT). I made both hard and digital copies of all my bookings and they were checked at both the airline check-in counter and immigration in Dhaka. However, no one was interested in more than a few days of hotel bookings and I only presented hotel reservations for the first four nights. This is important for those of us who are plan-as-you-go travelers and don’t like to make bookings ahead of time. In the future, I will only book the first few nights and see how that goes. I ended up canceling several reservations (bookings) I made through Agoda because I changed my plans, and now, I have no doubt you can get a better price by simply walking in. On with the review of the hotel Pragati Inn: This hotel is close to the airport and was recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, my room was extremely noisy because of the local road traffic. It is also a bit too far from Old Dhaka if you intend on exploring the most interesting parts of the city. This is a typical Asian-style budget hotel: a bit dated and could use some maintenance and a coat of paint. Having said that, the room and bathroom were surprisingly clean, and the air-conditioning and hot water were excellent. A complimentary breakfast was included in the price, but I did not try it. The wi-fi was so-so, in all three hotels I stayed at. I thought that the price I paid through Agoda ($45.75 USD) was a bit high for what I got. The owner of the hotel confirmed that if I were to book directly with the hotel, I could get a room for roughly half the price. I would only return here if I needed to be close to the airport.

Best hotel ever,zeker the Cove restaurant en de bediening van Graddafi,Reaz en vooral de rest van het personeel.De kamers zijn heel schoon . Ze rennen voor je wanneer je iets nodig hebt. Het hoogtepunt van ons verblijf was toen de ATM apparaat in het hotel niet werkte en er geen geld gepind kon worden. De oplossing was simpel, achterop de motor van de bewaker naar de dichtsbijzijnde ATM ! Een fantastische ervaring op zich!Volgende keer gaan we zeker weer hier verblijven !!!

NEVER GO THERE. I wouldn't even deign to give this hotel a one-star rating. It was a horrible place. The staff's behavior was extremely egocentric. I saw that they offered free airport pick-up on their website, so I called to confirm. Initially, I was told that I would have to pay 1000 taka (10 dollars) for the service, so I had no intention of taking it. However, they later called me back and confirmed that the service was indeed free and that they would send a vehicle for me. I was forced to wait at the airport for an hour and a half, only to find out that I still had to pay 1000 taka. It was a bizarre situation, and I could have traveled to the hotel without waiting for half the cost. When I questioned the staff about it, there was no genuine apology, only an egocentric response. The room was also nothing like the pictures on the website, which was a deceptive advertisement. The service was also very poor. I had to continually call for my room to be cleaned, and there were far too many mosquitos, which will make you sick. Lastly, they offered me a discount of 54 taka (0.5 dollars) on my room rate so that I must leave a positive review here, which I never asked from them lol. This hotel was truly horrendous.

On with the review of the hotel Pragati Inn: This hotel is close to the airport and was recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, my room was extremely noisy because of the local road traffic. It is also a bit too far from Old Dhaka if you intend on exploring the most interesting parts of the city. This is a typical Asian-style budget hotel: a bit dated and could use some maintenance and a coat of paint. Having said that, the room and bathroom were surprisingly clean, and the air-conditioning and hot water were excellent. A complimentary breakfast was included in the price, but I did not try it. The wi-fi was so-so, in all three hotels I stayed at. I thought that the price I paid through Agoda ($45.75 USD) was a bit high for what I got. The owner of the hotel confirmed that if I were to book directly with the hotel, I could get a room for roughly half the price. I would only return here if I needed to be close to the airport.

I recently completed a two-week visit to Bangladesh and stayed at three different hotels. I will not only review them in detail but give an overview of my experience of budget hotels in Bangladesh as a tourist. Most of my thoughts, comments, and opinions on all three of these properties are the same so there will be some copying and pasting in these reviews. Tourists wishing to arrive in Bangladesh and receive a visa on arrival (VOA) are advised to have hotel bookings and Proof of Onward Travel (POOT). I made both hard and digital copies of all my bookings and they were checked at both the airline check-in counter and immigration in Dhaka. However, no one was interested in more than a few days of hotel bookings and I only presented hotel reservations for the first four nights. This is important for those of us who are plan-as-you-go travelers and don’t like to make bookings ahead of time. In the future, I will only book the first few nights and see how that goes. I ended up canceling several reservations (bookings) I made through Agoda because I changed my plans, and now, I have no doubt you can get a better price by simply walking in. Best hotel ever,zeker the Cove restaurant en de bediening van Graddafi,Reaz en vooral de rest van het personeel.De kamers zijn heel schoon . Ze rennen voor je wanneer je iets nodig hebt. Het hoogtepunt van ons verblijf was toen de ATM apparaat in het hotel niet werkte en er geen geld gepind kon worden. De oplossing was simpel, achterop de motor van de bewaker naar de dichtsbijzijnde ATM ! Een fantastische ervaring op zich!Volgende keer gaan we zeker weer hier verblijven !!!

La experiencia con Asia Hotel y Resorts fue excepcional. El personal era amable y su servicio era excelente. Los alimentos estaban bien cocinados y el desayuno buffet que viene con la habitación reservada fue excepcional. La habitación no era una prueba de sonido, así que es un abajo. Además, el camino al hotel es un poco envuelto como la construcción de metro está en marcha. El servicio de la habitación es rápido y el mantenimiento de la casa ha hecho un buen trabajo! En general la experiencia fue excelente. ¡Buen valor para el dinero!

En primer lugar, Covid se incrementa en Dhaka. Fue una estancia perfecta en ornádeas con un hermoso sueño nocturno y realmente disfrutó de su comida del restaurante Mouri y el servicio fue increíble.
