Excellent location to explore Christchurch attractions. Very clean and well appointed room for an excellent price (I was wondering what It may be getting into). The room quality was a 3+ star for US standards. The only negative is the lack of parking (only offstreet parking or may have to drive a block away for parking). The clean room, friendly staff and excellent location and the overall niceness of Christchurch and it's people in general made us quickly get over the initial stress of trying to find a place to park. No están atadas a una cabeza de cama y son una base de conjuntos sólo para que se mueven alrededor. Me sentí mejor dormido en un motel en Timaru, lo que es una vergüenza porque trabajar 10 horas de día, permanecer en un hotel 5*, uno pensaría que dormirías como un bebé. La habitación de la habitación era muy agradable, pero no se podía aprovechar la habitación. Solicité una microonda para comer preparados debido a mi diabetes y esto estaba allí antes de comprobar en qué era grande. El hotel está situado en la esquina de un montón de restaurantes y Westfield Ricccarton y justo al lado del Parque Hagley, que fue muy bueno para una caminata de la mañana. En el restaurante, el sábado, probé el desayuno buffet y fue un poco de lactancia. No acababa de volver. Muchas cafeterías alrededor de todos modos. Todo arriba, aprecio mi estancia allí 4*. Me quedé en el Elms por una breve parada de una noche. Buen servicio, habitaciones limpias y limpias, la cama estaba cómoda. Tenía té y desayuno en el restaurante. La cena de la noche era muy buena, pero disfruté del desayuno más como la selección de comidas era expansionista. En general, fue una buena estancia y disfrutó.

Similar to a previous review I was very disappointed and the main issue I believe is that many of the information sites are falesly advertising that Parking is available on site,. At the back inside the house is: A tiny room approx 2 and 1/4 metres wide; L shape. On my second night I could not sleep as a large window high above the bed to the left ( over one metre wide by one foot high) was stuck and wide open all night. A strong cold wind began around 11pm and too high to shut even when I stood on the couch and I am quite tall. The wind caused the blind to beat against the wall all night. Then at 3am the smoke alarm started beeping so I spent all night with the TV ON to pass the time. I asked the owner for a refund for one of the nights for this bad experience but none forthcoming. There was a lot of voices coming from the owners room through the door in the next room at times. The bathroom was down a passage where I was unable to shut that window also; it appeared to be an old window type as I (on my own and over 75) couldn't move the hinges. I stayed at motels the same week for the same price. $150 night. Wonderful I felt like I was out of Jail. Many travel sites for this guest house say FREE PRIVATE PARKING IS AVAILABLE ON SITE. This is not true. The owner told me that I could not park ON SITE. I cannot stress that: Parking was a huge problem as the metal locked driveway gate was for private use only I was told and the roadside on one side had time limits. On such a busy area with two cafes next door I had to keep circling the block and finally parked some distance away. This guest house does not welcome guests who take on this room to a kitchen or lounge or provide breakfast or meals. When I finally found a park I had to make 3 trips with belongings and food. Tourists especially from overseas need to be aware of this and also this major parking issue. Public Holidays are even WORSE to find a park which could be kms away. A very low couch was side on to the Tv. There were no table or chairs, to eat your food on or sit your coffee on. Just a wardrobe with a toaster, microwave, fridge and jug. The bed head board was not attached to the bed and banged against the wall. This room was around the back inside the house that looked out on their private driveway and garage. There was no comfort staying in this space during the day even though I needed rest. Lots of improvements needed here and a big reduction from $150 per night. A welcome pack would have been great showing a map of Sumner with cafes etc., especially for first time overseas visitors or New Zealanders

Late arrival (after midnight) so enquired as to a later check-out. Despite paying full-price for a room that we only used for less than 11hrs they couldn't (wouldn't?) offer us a late check-out without paying a required fee which passed on. Breakfast also expensive at $35 per person (inc. children) so we missed out this. Room clean with expected amenities although a bit nosey in the morning as we were on the ground floor and there were a group of people chatting loudly outside of the room. Bed nice and comfy though, shower water power disappointing. Customer service on check-in wasn't overly welcoming but the female staff member who we checked out with was informative.

Comfortable hotel in Heart of City. Booked a room using points as a Gold Elite. Requested quiet room and was appointed 3rd floor over traffic lights so receptionist kindly moved me to a room on opposite side. It was quiet however the walls are thin and I can hear a lot of noise this morning - a lot of noise. Room service eggs were excellent, as was bar service last night. They know how to make a good drink. I was a bit annoyed as mini bar knocked this am and said she thought there was “no one in the room” whilst I was on a call. Not so professional. Can recommend as a good hotel in Christchurch (I’ve stayed in quite a few)

Muy bien precio 2 unidades dormidas que permitieron a los animales en su cama. Muchas áreas de pasto en propiedad para la baño de perros. Unidad fue fechada pero muy limpia y espaciosa y los huéspedes fueron muy amables. Situación cerca de la tienda de Northlands. ¡Esta será nuestra nueva estancia de chat!

My room was not cleaned up despite me putting up a door notice for housekeeping for the day. When I returned to my room in the evening, I was told to my surprise that my booking did not include housekeeping. The website of Breakfree at Cashel mentioned housekeeping is available. I was not informed that my booking omitted this service. Furthermore, I was told to collect new towels by myself at the counter. I just don't feel the hotel is not up to the mark in this aspect. Other things I am not quite happy about is that the room space is too small for easy packing and unpacking of my luggage but I suppose I get what I paid for, which is ok. I have decided to move to other hotel for the rest of my journey in Christchurch for the above reasons .
