We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Humble Boutique Hotel from March 30 to April 5, 2026, for our first sightseeing trip to Taipei. We would like to express our genuine gratitude for the hospitality we received during our six-day visit. Commendable Service & Hospitality The true highlight of our stay was the staff. From the concierge and housekeeping teams to the gym and restaurant staff, everyone worked diligently to ensure the hotel ran smoothly. We were particularly impressed by the team’s English proficiency; communication was seamless, making us and the many international guests we encountered feel very much at home. We would like to extend a special thank you to: * Kaley, Tina, and Mary at the restaurant for their attentive service. * Our dedicated housekeeper (the kind lady from Vietnam) who looked after our room on the 9th floor. Excellent Facilities & Location * Prime Accessibility: The hotel’s location in the central district is incredibly convenient. Being just steps away from the MRT station made our sightseeing effortless, and the 30-minute shuttle ride from the airport was very efficient. COMPACT GYM: It’s compact but contains most of the equipments I need including treadmill, stairclimbers, Multi- purpose gym stations and dumbbell.  WARM SWIMMING POOL: nice, long and warm - the water is kept at a temperature of 28 degree. Towel will be provided. Make sure to bring your own swimming hat if you prefer to swim. * Accommodations: Our corner King Room on the 9th floor was spacious, impeccably clean, and provided a very cozy retreat after a long day of exploring. * Wellness & Dining: We enjoyed the well-equipped, compact gym and the lovely heated pool, which was maintained at a comfortable 28°C. Furthermore, the semi-buffet breakfast on the 2nd floor was a daily highlight. Each of the five main course options was delicious and well-prepared. Constructive Reflections In the spirit of helpfulness, we noticed two small areas for potential improvement. First, the installation of a few coin-operated laundry machines would be a wonderful convenience for long-term travelers. Second, as the hotel is so centrally located, there is some audible road noise even on the higher floors; however, this is understandable given the prime location. FINAL We would rate our experience a 9.5/10. Had there been laundry facilities, it would have been a perfect 10. The Humble Boutique Hotel will undoubtedly be our first choice when we return to Taipei. Thank you for making our first visit so memorable.

En general, ¡la estancia fue genial! La habitación es espaciosa y limpia. El desayuno también estuvo muy bien. Está ubicado muy cerca de la estación de tren y de Hua Shan Creative. El vestíbulo del hotel, con temática de Godzilla, es bastante gracioso 😆. Quizás lo único es que las paredes son un poco delgadas, ya que a veces se oye el ruido de la habitación de al lado, pero aun así es tolerable.

Disfruté muchísimo de mi primera estancia en el Hotel Regent. Mi hija menor y yo hicimos un viaje relajante juntas. El diseño del hotel era sofisticado y elegante, con un ambiente limpio y confortable, perfecto para descansar. La ropa de cama era especialmente cómoda y limpia, lo que nos permitió relajarnos por completo, a pesar del cansancio. No teníamos planes ni horarios; simplemente queríamos descansar y dormir. Agradecí especialmente el excelente y variado servicio de habitaciones del Hotel Regent. Incluso a altas horas de la noche, podíamos pedir comida sin tener que salir a comprar nada. Gracias por el servicio gratuito de consigna de equipaje, que nos ahorró la molestia de cargar con nuestras maletas. ¡Espero poder quedarme más tiempo la próxima vez para disfrutar plenamente de las instalaciones y servicios del hotel!

Excellent and very friendly service throughout my entire stay from doorman to concierge to front desk to housekeeping to restaurant to gym. Great location next to Shandao temple MRT and within walking distance to Taipei station, nice restaurants, cafes and the famed Fuhang soy milk. I also enjoyed the excellent lunch buffer at the hotel restaurant Kitchen 12 at incredibly reasonable price. But please note that Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite or higher tier members do not receive the usual executive lounge access or free breakfast if you book via Trip.com (you need to book directly with Marriott to enjoy the benefits).

1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. La ubicación de mi estancia fue conveniente. El único inconveniente fue que las pantuflas incluidas eran un poco pequeñas. No es un problema grave, simplemente nunca las usaré. No hay zapatero fuera de la habitación. (Como se muestra en la foto adjunta, aunque el aire acondicionado es potente, el olor de pies y zapatos afecta el ambiente general). Como no hay dónde poner los zapatos afuera, los puse dentro. El olor es increíble.

¡Un hostal muy agradable! Las habitaciones son algo pequeñas, así que no hay sitio para guardar la maleta o la mochila; hay que llevarla al pie de la cama. Buenas instalaciones: lavadora y secadora, cafetera, desayuno, taquillas... ¡Los baños se limpian con regularidad!

Disfruté mucho de mi estancia aquí a pesar de la falta de servicios como piscina o spa. La ubicación es muy conveniente: justo enfrente se encuentra la animada zona de Ximending, perfecta para ir de compras, comer en la calle y disfrutar de diversas actividades. En el mismo edificio, encontrarás un 7-Eleven con temática de Hello Kitty y un restaurante Sushiro, que recomiendo muchísimo; la comida estaba absolutamente deliciosa. El desayuno buffet ofrece una selección limitada de platos principales, pero el menú cambia a diario y todo lo que probé estaba delicioso.

Nos alojamos en una habitación triple, pero las toallas que nos dieron eran para dos personas. Fuimos a recepción y les dijimos que solo había suficientes suministros para dos personas. La recepción nos respondió, lo cual fue un poco chocante: Básicamente, tenemos dos personas en la habitación”), a pesar de que nos alojamos en una habitación triple. Estamos proporcionando kits de amenidades para dos personas, entonces, ¿por qué deberíamos cobrar por tres personas? Además, cuando reservamos la habitación dijimos que había tres personas, entonces ¿el cobro no se basa en el número de personas? El precio de la habitación para dos personas es diferente al de la habitación para tres personas. Es un hotel de cadena. No sé si es un problema de este hotel o de todos los hoteles. En resumen, es incomprensible. También es muy chocante cobrar por agua mineral adicional. En el pasado, otros hoteles cobraban una botella adicional de agua mineral. No había ningún cargo por dos botellas de agua mineral. Quizás sea la cultura de este hotel. Si tuviera que Vuelve a elegir, no volveré a elegir este. Además, la bañera no estaba limpia y había restos de jabón. . En general, esta experiencia de estancia no fue muy buena.
