The hostel is located in the downtown area, which is very convenient for traveling. They also offer activities such as Historical Jail Tour, walking to bars with other travellers (I cannot remember what they call it), and cookies decoration (during the Christmas season). Friendly and helpful staff. Affordable price.

Este hotel me causó la mejor impresión de todo mi viaje. Su ubicación es excelente, justo en el centro de la ciudad. Si tienes aparcamiento, puedes ir andando fácilmente a varias atracciones, lo cual es muy práctico. El desayuno era muy abundante, con muchos paquetes pequeños para llevar, un detalle muy considerado. La selección de desayunos superó a todos los que he probado en otros hoteles Sheldon. La lavandería también era fantástica, con lavadora y cinco secadoras, la más completa en la que me he alojado. ¡Y es gratis! No solo hay servicio de lavandería gratuito, sino que también hay un lavadero gratuito; no tuve que traer el mío. En general, las habitaciones eran muy espaciosas, con mucho sitio incluso con dos camas. El amplio salón facilitaba la preparación de la comida. Sin embargo, cabe destacar que casi todas las habitaciones están diseñadas de forma que las ventanas no se pueden abrir. Si prefieres tener ventanas, este hotel quizás no sea la mejor opción. Por lo demás, quedé muy satisfecho.

Great stay. Central location downtown. Comfortable bed and pillows. Felt relaxed and revitalized. Room as upgraded at check in by the receptionist so that was a bonus!

Un hotel bien establecido con una muy buena ubicación. Está muy cerca de la mayoría de las atracciones, como Parliament Hill. Where to begin... first of all, when I made this booking, there was no mention whatsoever of HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION beginning every day at 7 a.m. Naturally upon checking in, I'm informed that there is intense construction happening right next door. And yes, it was brutal. I also SPECIFICALLY booked this hotel because there was an option to reserve now, pay at the hotel. Here are some direct quotes from my booking confirmation email: ”You'll need to pay upon check-in at Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” ”Your payment will be handled by Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, by Hyatt,” and ”Pay at Hotel.” Sure enough, I get there, and the money's already been taken out of my credit card and I owe nothing to the hotel upon check-in. (This matters for reimbursement purposes at the company I work for.) Lastly, I was told when I checked in that housekeeping would be visiting every third day -- that was fine by me. But the very first day, I come back to my room after a long day and someone's been there, replacing towels, removing the minimal garbage in there, etc., which I was not at all prepared for given that I was advised the opposite. It made me extremely uncomfortable because all of my personal effects were left throughout the room, not expecting housekeeping given that I was advised no housekeeping would be coming until the third day. I'll be honest, that creeped me out as someone travelling alone. The staff were apologetic but I didn't find their explanation at all sufficient. (The housekeeping manager and front desk attendant completely contradicted each other.) Overall, such a chaotic stay. Oh, and, the heat in my room didn't work. Had to request a space heater... I mean, c'mon.

El hotel es nuevo, las instalaciones son decentes y las habitaciones incluso tienen gorros de ducha. El desayuno es normal, pero tiene una buena relación calidad-precio. Fue cómodo y práctico para una familia de tres adultos y un niño compartir habitación. Está cerca del centro de la ciudad y el aparcamiento es bastante sencillo. El único inconveniente es que hay un albergue para personas sin hogar cerca, lo que puede ser un poco peligroso para quienes viajan solos; es mejor evitar pasear solo por la zona.

Pros: a parking lot with sufficient space (no need to book in advance). A shopping mall St Laurent is nearby. The breakfast is ok. There are 2 sockets and 2 USB-A outlet on each side of the bed. The staff are friendly in general. Cons: A bit far away from the tourist attractions downtown (around 10 minutes drive). The coffee from the in-room coffee machine was so-so. The air-conditioner was quite noisy. The TV in my room couldn't be turned off (It went off automatically after no-signal for a while anyway). There were some paper cups for coffee but no other glass / cups in the whole room even for brushing teeth so I had to use paper cups for brushing teeth (Is it considered environmental friendly?)
