CCooldayThe Samed Resorts group offers the guests a free boat shuttle service to Samed Island (even free car parking), which I find very convenient. The staff helped us loading the baggage to the boat and from the boat to the hotel. Ban Ploy sea is located right next to the pier with a few minutes walk. The check-in went smoothly. The staff was so helpful and friendly. He even offered me an upgrade room with the sea front view for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfy. At the back of the resort is a log house cafe, offering tasty cakes and fancy drinks. I feel really relaxed lying on a private beach. In the evening we were so lazy to go out, just had dinner at the hotel‘s restaurant every night. It was not cheap but everything was delicious. Overall, we are very satisfied. Highly recommended!

MMcShaneHermosa ubicación. Personal agradable. La comida estaba bien, pero nada especial. Definitivamente regresaría. Vale la pena, excepto que tenga en cuenta el horario del barco hacia la isla. Llamamos al hotel dos veces antes de ir y acordamos con el personal que llegaríamos al muelle de Ban Phe después de las 5 de la tarde, pero cuando llegamos allí nos dijeron que era demasiado tarde para un barco y que tendríamos que organizar otro transporte. ¿Por qué exactamente llamamos para arreglarlo, y por qué diablos aceptarías y luego básicamente nos arruinarías en el último minuto? No es un buen comienzo.

UUsuario invitadoStayed at the resort for 11 nights with friends. They made sure we had rooms next to each other and provided us with whatever we needed! The staff were incredibly helpful and professional, even helping us with medical advice after insect bites and food poisoning and helping us with our transfer back to Bangkok. Truly cannot overstate how wonderful the service was. The resort is easily situated close to the main town and pier and directly opposite the beach! 5 stars all around. Thanks so much!

CChris 王墨迪Overall the hotel has certainly fallen over the past 3 years and it’s pretty sad to see this happen, if you’re a single traveler or a couple I would recommend but I couldn’t recommend the hotel to families in its current state.
Management: Great management they listen to complaints, they are responsible and try to solve all issues. Sadly the management don’t have so much to work with these days.
General staff: A large percentage of the staff are Cambodian and living in limbo with the current issues between both countries. With the exception of one or two Cambodian staff most are either depressed and miserable or damn right rude, unhelpful and disrespectful. (The floor manager explained this himself)
Rooms: Nice and simple rooms the do the job but aging fast. The rooms look good but are not high quality materials and it shows the labor and material quality is low and cheap. Showers have virtually no pressure when the hotel is busy and the water won’t reach higher than luke-warm.
Location: I have to say it’s one of the best locations on the island when considering location and facilities and I guess this is their main selling point. They have shops, bars, restaurants, coffee shop and more.
Patrons: Most of the year the majority of visitors are going to be Tha and Asian, they are respectful, they have manners and they will be great to holiday alongside. During Christmas to New Year there were too many rude Europeans especially Swedish tourists, these tourists camped and took over large areas of the bar and restaurants, they moved around furniture, they were rude and disrespectful to other tourists leaving trash noise and mess wherever they visited. (Staff and management ignored)
Note: This used to be a great hotel and I have continuously visited over the past several years. Unfortunately I have begun to see a degradation of the hotel, the attitude towards western tourists (due to poor behavior of westerners) as well as issues related to the diplomatic issues between Cambodia and Thailand. I due hope this improves in the future.
With new staff or new immigration laws as well as new investment into the hotel it could easily thrive once more.

UUsuario invitadoA nice hotel with very helpful staff. Choosing a seaside room on Trip was not clear, we ended up with a room further off the beach than I prefer. Staff moved us to a preferred room, without hassle. The breakfast is suitable for farang if you cannot do spicy. The beach is very clean, as is the water and with a morning tide you can see fish and crabs moving about. The resort is next to a roped off swim area shared by several hotels. A close-by dock serves those who want go on a snorkle trip but I dont know where to sign up for this. You will need a taxi or rent motorcy to get to town but there are two small stores about 5 minute walk if you need snacks, water, etc. There is no ATM nearby and only one on the whole island so have plenty of baht since many places on the island do not accept credit card.
Our only issue was that the pool's PH level was way off and caused a bit of irritation for the boys and I could not, at all, open my eyes underwater. Hopefully this is a one-off event. Otherwise, the staff was exceptional, helped us rent 2 motorcy and had them delivered. The room was cleaned each day, bed was not too hard, and AC worked great. You get a fridge, water, and coffee in room.

UUsuario anónimoNewly renovated rooms; comfortable & cleaned. Beautiful private peaceful beach. All the hotel staff that we had contacted did excellent jobs. Enjoyed live music & a fire show in the evening. We gave 200 THB to the fire show men. Frankly speaking, their fire show skills are much better than Hawaii. (Except, no hip dance) It would be nice if the other hotel guests would have given them some tips, too. Everything was good, except the music at the restaurant by the beach was a bit too loud. I will return to stay at this hotel again if I go to Samed next time.

Koh Samed captura a la perfección la esencia del turismo isleño, y Avatara Resort ofrece una excelente experiencia de playa para familias en pleno corazón de la isla.
Ubicación y acceso a la playa
Su privilegiada ubicación frente al mar es, sin duda, su mayor atractivo. Situado junto a una hermosa franja de aguas cristalinas y poco profundas, ofrece condiciones seguras e ideales para que las familias disfruten del mar. Su comodidad es inmejorable: se encuentra a tan solo dos minutos a pie de la famosa playa de Sai Kaew, el emblemático Monumento de la Sirena y la animada zona del Silversand Resort.
Alojamiento y ambiente
Si bien el edificio del resort muestra el paso del tiempo, las habitaciones renovadas crean un ambiente encantador con una iluminación preciosa que transforma la estructura antigua en un lugar realmente atractivo. Nos alojamos en la tercera planta, que ofrecía tranquilas vistas a la montaña con vistas al bosque del parque nacional, en lugar de vistas a la playa. El entorno es realmente tranquilo y silencioso, justo lo que buscábamos para una escapada familiar.
Consideración importante: No hay ascensor, por lo que subir a los pisos superiores requiere una buena caminata. Como bromeábamos, ¡ir de la habitación a las áreas exteriores cuatro veces al día supone un buen ejercicio! Esto hace que el complejo no sea adecuado para personas mayores o con problemas de movilidad.
Experiencia gastronómica
El desayuno es una delicia; se sirve en un restaurante junto a la playa donde se puede disfrutar con la arena entre los dedos de los pies. La selección es impresionante, con una buena variedad de opciones occidentales y tailandesas, incluyendo fruta fresca.
El restaurante de playa del complejo sirve comida de calidad con una excelente relación calidad-precio; probamos varios platos y nos gustaron todos. Sin embargo, no hay servicio de habitaciones y el restaurante cierra temprano (entre las 21:30 y las 22:00). Cuando nos entraban antojos a altas horas de la noche, el 7-Eleven cercano (a solo 5-6 minutos a pie) nos resultó muy práctico para comprar algo de comer.
Servicios y detalles de la habitación
Los servicios de la habitación son adecuados, aunque no lujosos. La ducha está bien diseñada y cuenta con un vestidor amplio. Sin embargo, notamos un olor desagradable proveniente del desagüe del baño que requirió atención durante nuestra estancia.
Actividades y alrededores
Para actividades acuáticas como parasailing, snorkel y moto acuática, deberá caminar hasta la playa de Sai Kaew para encontrar proveedores de servicios; afortunadamente, encontramos excelentes opciones allí.
Veredicto final
Avatara Resort es un destino ideal para familias que combina acceso directo a la playa, un ambiente tranquilo y precios razonables. Si bien tiene algunas limitaciones (falta de ascensor, cierre temprano del restaurante, pequeños problemas de mantenimiento), la experiencia general fue agradable e inolvidable.
Recomendado para: Familias que buscan una escapada tranquila a la playa, que no les importan las escaleras y prefieren un ambiente de resort más tranquilo.
Considere otras opciones si: Necesita acceso con ascensor, opciones para cenar hasta tarde o servicios de lujo.

喔喔喔Está a unos 15 minutos a pie del muelle. Está justo al lado de la calle principal. Es muy conveniente para comer entre las 7 y las 11. Está justo al lado de la playa. Hay espectáculos de danza con fuego y canto todas las noches. el desayuno es comida china y tailandesa, pero la comida occidental es muy. Hay pocas, pero hay muchas opciones. Las habitaciones en Yiqing son muy fragantes, las camas son muy cómodas y limpias, algunos servicios son muy buenos y. Algunos servicios son promedio.

As for the place itself, it’s calm and quiet, yet close to the central part of the island where all the main shops are located. The beach is a 3-minute walk away, another one is about 5 minutes away — everything is nearby. The hotel has its own bar and a private area, peaceful and relaxing. The main issue is mosquitoes, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault — after all, there’s nature right behind the fence, and a very unusual one at that. We even saw a giant stick insect on the property for the first time ever, lol 🙂
The bungalow has all the basic essentials: a bed, air conditioning, a toilet, a shower, and a kettle. It might be nice to have a wardrobe or some storage for clothes, but that’s just a small nitpick.
If you’re not picky and don’t need five-star service, but appreciate a warm and genuine welcome, I can highly recommend this place!
