El apartamento está al lado de la Universidad de Islandia, es el mejor viajero internacional que he vivido en este momento. El transporte es conveniente. También es conveniente ir al centro de la ciudad. La habitación no tiene Wifi para llegar a la recepción del hall para poder usarlo gratis. La habitación tiene un buen jardín, llena de ayuda para encontrar la recepción. El servicio es bueno. Todos son jóvenes, buena comunicación. Si quieren viajar en Islandia una semana, se recomienda una reserva única, es más difícil cambiar de hotel en el medio. La habitación tiene un calcetinete de ropa de cama, conveniente. Cuando se reserva, debe tener cuidado de llevar un baño privado y un baño privado, no es un concepto. Cuando se reserva, se me equivoca la información. Se sugiere que se quede con un baño privado.

Really lovely! I was traveling with my father, and the folks running the guesthouse brought him extra pillows, because he needs to sleep mostly upright. Then, when there was a cancellation, they offered us the extra room so that he and I could each be more comfortable. We're so grateful for the kindness and hospitality. The rooms are clean, bright, and warm. We used the shared kitchen every morning. Shared bathrooms were never an issue - there are three on the main floor. Rooms also have a small sink, and there are coffee and tea makings in the rooms as well. A quick 5 minute walk to the harbor, a 20-30 minute walk to the downtown area near the big church, and a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest pool with thermal baths. I'd love to go back, and I'd definitely recommend it!

La calidad de la habitación es buena, pero la construcción de la plaza fuera de la ventana, aunque no hay ruido, no hay paisajes de nuestro tipo de habitación. We had a lovely stay! It may not be for the budget-minded (this is Iceland after all - everything is expensive), but the hotel makes up for it in other ways. It has a great location in the center of town, close to the waterfront and many fine restaurants & bars. The front desk staff was very helpful, as they assisted us with booking a day tour of the Golden Circle, along with other small requests. The breakfast room is large and well-staffed, serving a wide variety of traditional breakfast items, as well as a few Icelandic specialties. the room was clean, quiet, and well-appointed. The shower may pose a problem for some larger people, but perhaps that was just our room. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Una pareja joven y súper linda dirige el lugar. La recepción es increíble al recomendar cosas no turísticas para hacer y lugares para comer o visitar. Cuando veo a la tripulación de vuelo (pilotos, uniformados) desayunando, sé que el lugar es bueno. El desayuno era muy bueno y hay agua y acceso a agua caliente/máquina de café en todo momento. Habitación de buen tamaño para uno. (La mayoría de las habitaciones de hotel islandesas probablemente se consideren estrechas para los estándares estadounidenses, para su información, así que ajuste sus expectativas en consecuencia). Los muebles y la decoración canalizan un ambiente escandinavo. El edificio es antiguo: el mini ascensor tiene el tamaño perfecto para una persona y equipaje. De vez en cuando se quedaba atascado en el cuarto piso (no quería volver a bajar), pero le pedí a una recepcionista que subiera corriendo los tramos de escaleras y lo enviara de regreso. ¡Tan dulce! El baño está un poco anticuado, pero creo que se planean más renovaciones en 2023. My wife and I recently spent a very pleasant 5 nights at this hotel. It is nicely situated in the marina area slightly away from the city centre, but still with many local restaurants. Our room (on the top floor as specifically requested) was small but perfectly formed with an excellent view over the Marina. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful and the the wi-fi was excellent. The room had all we needed, really, apart from, perhaps, some drawers for clothing. There was space on some open shelves but we prefer to have our clothes 'put away' and not on show. We had no problem with noise entering our room either from the outside or from neighbouring rooms. We took breakfast on a couple of occasions and it was a decent buffet affair, albeit pricey. The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, polite and very helpful in arranging excursions and advising on things to do in Iceland. We didn't take dinner in the hotel, but we did find an excellent gastropub literally over the road from the hotel.

Hotel moderno, en el centro de la ciudad, a tres cuadras de la parada nro 14 y nro 6 (en Reikiavik los buses no pueden entrar al centro por lo que usan distintas paradas), zona céntrica con bares y restaurantes. Es una ciudad pequeña que se recorre a pie fácilmente y el hotel esta cerca de todas las atracciones. El personal de recepción está las 24 hs, cambia diariamente pero son muy amables y están atentos a todas la necesidades. La habitación un tanto pequeña pero limpia y moderna. Cuenta con secador de pelo, pava eléctrica y surtido de café y te. El agua fría es potable, la caliente no y sugiero sac**** las joyas antes de bañ**** porque tiene sales que pueden dañarlas. Desayuno continental muy completo desde la 7hs. Volvería sin dudarlo.

Insuperable ubicacion,muy tranquilo y cerca a todo. A 2 min de la parada numero 3 desde donde la mayoria de las escursiones parten. El hotel muy bien decorado y el personal estupendo. Por poner una pega jeje podrian colocar un perchero en la pared en la habitacion (sitio hay)en invierno complicado poder colgar la ropa mojada! Hotel location was great! Walking distance to all restaurants. Did not get o use the bar or restaurant. Breakfast was ok no fresh eggs prepared. Pastries were delicious. Adequate choice of yogurts fruits and cereal. Bf Hot meals were pre cooked. Hotel staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were ok, first night had the windows open and there was a lot of noise, had to close the windows but was hot. Second night was much quieter and was able to keep semi window open.

My sister and I stayed here for two nights at the end of our Iceland holiday. Centrally located just a 5-minute walk from the Hallgrimskirkja and a 20-minute stroll from the harbour. I had been a bit worried about parking so I had emailed the hotel in advance to ask and got a very prompt response. It was astoundingly easy to park close by and we got a lovely friendly welcome from the hotel staff; in fact all the staff we met were really friendly and chatty. The room was a reasonable size (initially made up as a double but this was swiftly altered to a twin while we were out whale-watching) and had everything you need (including a fridge). It was a bit stuffy in the room, even with the little window open so we had the room door propped open for a while but, as I think Iceland was experiencing record hot weather at the time perhaps it's not fair to criticise! Our room was on the first floor but we didn't experience any of the noise from the restaurant/bar that some other reviews have mentioned. Would definitely recommend as a good location for a stay in Reykjavik.

Hotel muy básico pero limpio y excelente personal en la recepción. José y Michael hicieron todo lo posible para ayudarnos a encontrar excursiones cuando todo estaba reservado. Dio excelentes recomendaciones sobre cómo moverse. Sin duda me alojaría aquí de nuevo, incluso si no tiene una ubicación céntrica. El único inconveniente es la falta de un ascensor si es necesario para alguien.

La habitación es muy pequeña, pero muy adecuada, no esperaba pasar mucho tiempo en la habitación, excepto dormir. (La cama era excelente.) La zona de la lobby es un gran lugar para reunir y/o conocer a las nuevas personas. El hotel está muy bien, pero no hay variedad, y me quedaría de nuevo, en gran medida debido al horrible personal (Lenny, Bianka, Katya).

La ubicación del apartamento era muy cerca de Laugavegur Shopping Street. La tienda de conveniencia (Vikivaki, creo que se llamó) está justo en frente. La tienda de ”bonus” está también cerca (alrededor de 5 minutos a pie). El apartamento era muy limpio y acogedor, con camas suaves y cómodas. Muy espacio para moverse. Las esenciales de la cocina estaban disponibles - potes, pantalones, jabón de lavandería, placas, herramientas, especias, máquina de café y pones, té, especias estaban disponibles. El baño es limpio y espacial. Perfecto para estancias con familia (4-5 personas)!

Nos quedamos 4 noches, nos encantó. Llegamos a las 10 am en medio de una tormenta y nos dieron nuestra habitación muchas más temprano. Bad thing was it was close to everything including bars and on Saturday night, it was pretty loud till about 2/3 am. Weeknights were fine for us, probably more noise from fighting seagulls than rowdy people. The apartment itself was difficult to find since it was behind the main building, through a short alley be tween the Vietnamese restaurant and gift shop. We asked a local at the gift shop to locate it. And despite there being graffiti on the walls, we never felt unsafe and have returned past midnight before. We stayed in #301, third floor apartment that was basically a studio with 2 twin beds, a sofa bed, small round table with a few chairs, microwave, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer combo, all utensils/settings. There’s also a small balcony shared with the apartment next to us. The exterior and apartment doors were accessible via codes. Great because no keys are needed, but could be tricky to unlock. An alarm will sound after a few incorrect attempts. The apartment looked great. Simple, neutral colors. We couldn’t figure out whether the place was cleaned though since one twin bed sheet had a little stain and one of the pillowcase had a little something stuck to it. And it didn’t smelled fresh, though could be it hasn’t been booked in a while? We only slept there and didn’t use any of the appliances, including the coffee maker, so don’t know if they worked or if they supplied detergents. We did notice that there’s a note you had to empty trash under the sink. The spots on our sheet and the one pillowcase were not confirmed or enough to be a big concern for us. Overall, we liked the place mostly for convenience. But if you’re a light sleeper, this might not be a good choice. Also want to note they were very responsive via email. And lastly, on street parking which you’ll need to download app to pay between 9 am and 6 pm.

El hotel es relativamente pequeño y tiene una buena ubicación, justo enfrente de la catedral. Al principio, se organizó en el subsuelo. Kex… Ugh such a frustrating review to write. I really wanted to like the Kex hostel it has its good points, but overall was the worst hostel stay I have had in Iceland. I’ll give you my very detailed opinion. The Bad… -Lacking in the toilet paper department!!! We were on floor 4 there were several private bathrooms with showers and also separate locker room style bathrooms. At 7:30 AM I ran to the bathroom after finishing my business realized there was no TP! Ugh. Anyway afterwards I looked through the different open stalls with toilets. Only 3 toilets on the whole 4th floor had TP! To me having adequate TP is an essential thing. The bathrooms weren’t restocked until 10AM ish. And we aren’t even in peak tourist season. We mentioned the issue to the staff and they said “just call next time you need something” kinda hard to “just call” when you have already done your business in the bathroom and you need something to wipe with! They need to have staff check the bathrooms more frequently. -The kitchen is sad in the “equipment” department. One of the reasons we stay at hostels is to cook our own food. Maybe they are trying to push buying food from their restaurant. I get that they get a lot of traffic. But the cooking pan selection is -Terrible- nasty old pans that the thrift shop would discard. Janky handles, and interior coating mega gouged out. Don’t come here expecting to cook at least on level 4. -No way to make coffee!!! Again they probably want you to pay for their breakfast. But there is no option to make coffee. No coffee pot, machine, or way to make a filter pour over etc. Don’t bring coffee grounds expecting to make your morning brew. There was an electric kettle, but again no way to make coffee unless you brought instant. -The showers need a good bleach and scrub. The walls had black mold growing on them. Considering the fact that Kex was our most expensive hostel in Iceland (we paid 20,906 for a private double, with linens, and shared bathrooms…or $153 US) compare Kex to the Svjarborg in Stykkisholmer $90 US or Halfdan HI Hostel $63 US ( in both we had a private double & shared bath) but both were awesome and had a fully equipped kitchen with decent quality pots, options to make coffee, and plenty of toilet paper. I understand that being in the city we can expect to pay more. BUT I expect that price to include: -enough toilet paper -a means to make coffee -decent cookware. The good… -The location is great. Easy walking distance to the main shops/streets. And the ocean right across the highway. -Awesome “vibe” cool decor, lots of couches/lounge areas. -Entertaining/Social. In the evening there was group song trivia in the main area, and in another a live band. -Our room a private double with shared bathroom was large, and we slept well. (Note: I have never stayed in a “quiet” hostel so I always travel with a sleep soundtrack on my phone and a melatonin) -The staff was all polite In conclusion, I have traveled on 4 contine

Stayed in a lower level rear room next to the lift. No lift noise but no views either but since we were there to sleep that didn't matter too much! Sheets were so comfortable, really fabulously soft. Staff were helpful and the hotel was city centre and close to things we were interested in. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

My wife and I stayed here for four nights before embarking on a cruise. Room was very comfortable and was serviced every day at our request. When departing and boarding the cruise ship my wife realized that her small jewelry case was missing. I immediately contacted the hotel by email and within 10 minutes had the response that item had been located. Hotel offered to send it back to states but within a female minutes suggested that she would give item to taxi driver who within an hour delivered it to ship. Definitely will recommend hotel to others visiting wonderful Reykjavík

La habitación 101 era muy pequeña y muy pequeña, pero no tenía una mesa ni guardarropa. No hay espacio para mi maletín ni para mi cerca. Así que 7 días de vida fuera de mi maletín y no hay lugar para dejar mi maletín abierto. Solo un poco de espacio a pie a la cama.
